Sign of Wi - Public Fi issues

I have a laptop Compaq Presario V2000 Win XP with SP3 running that uses an external Linksys Wireless-B USB Wi - Fi adapter, model WUSB11v4.  Everything works and I can receive a direct list of Wi - Fi networks available with their signal strengths.  I use the "Windows Firewall" and AOL (McAfee) and the Security Center V4.3.45.1 security.  I use Internet Explorer 8. Usually, I ache to connect to a network Wi - Fi in the restaurant, motel, Park trailers or truck stop.  I get messages about incompatible security settings, protocols, and the firewall settings.  Should the items and settings I check on my computer?  Is there a standard list of parameters which usually work?  Microsoft has an article on how to work through the maze of possible settings written to the neophyte?

Hello

What is the full error message?

Temporarily disable the firewall settings and check if you are faced with the same question.  This problem can also occur with the current settings of McAfee.
How can I turn on or turn off the firewall in Windows XP Service Pack 2 or later versions?

I am registered for the Xbox LIVE Update Public Beta Dashboard. The system crashed when you browse for a product key. I tried to return to this screen since then and I am told that no keys exist. How can I get my code/key or a new one?

    Taken from this forum xbox

    "Hello,

    You haven't missed your chance.

Due to the extreme popularity of the Xbox Dashboard Beta 2 registration, we are delaying delivery of registration keys once a user signed up for the beta program. This will ensure that the web site can handle the load of user sign ups, then we can issue tokens for 5 x 5 later once the volume of the site returns to normal.

  • Certificate for the hot spot ISE error

We have just install an ISE Server (Version 1.3.0.876) and that you have set up a hot spot for guest users portal. Everything on the Portal works fine, however! The question that we run is, we installed a public cert signed by a public CA (Starfield CA), but when you can go to the EULA page on the ISE server, they get an error the path of certificate cert becomes not filled. I watch the cert that it gets, and the path contains only the issued cert, not the case there are on it. (I think that cert requests the browser to go to a site to download the latest public certification for the issued cert)

I can work around this in order to allow this IP address he strikes in the ACL on the WLC, but I would simply like to have deliver ISE cert WITH public cases that's just in case the IP changes, or it is actually hitting a VIP and it comes to be responsive would be.

Does anyone know how this is done?

    I tried the following:

From the cert out of ISE, added public certification in the server certificate and added to the ISE, no luck. (I can this is done properly, let me know if this should have worked)

Added the case public in ISE and self-confidence, no luck with either.

Let me know! Thank you guys!

Good job to fix the problem and for taking the time to post back here! (+ 5 from me).

What is interesting is that the ISE should warn you and automatically restart the server when a new HTTPs certificate is installed. I wonder if this behavior may be changed with the last patch/version. In both cases, glad your problem is solved!

  • After upgrading to 7.6.100.0 user cannot connect wireless

We have a 5508 internal controller that has two SSID on it.  A SSID secured which uses an ACS server to authenticate users through AD and a guest SSID on the tunnels to an anchor DMZ 5508 controller.  Guest users have no problems.  We have improved our controllers to 7.6.100.0 about 3 weeks ago.  Since then, we have had a problem with the path of data, as the controller of the anchor is down and came only after the internal controller is restarted.  It was the 1st issue.  In recent days, I had users from across the country say that they are unable to connect to our secure network.  All users have Win7 machines.  All they see is the sign of performance of yell, on their Wi - Fi connection.  In the network and sharing Center, they see the wireless network, listed as an unidentified network (public network).  GBA, users are authenticate with no problem (I can see it in the journals of the ACS), and they receive an IP address.  However, they have absolutely no connectivity.  I have them try to ping the default gateway, subnet on which they are assigned, and he returned with the request timed out.  Of course, they are unable to access internet, or anything, because they have no connectivity to their front door.  I restarted the internal controller (thinking that there must be a deadlock, as the anchor of path of data issue) that did not work, I have blown away the SSID and recreated.  That did not work.  I even restarted the ACS, although it was not a problem.  It seems that all users who are connected before the show and have no stop of their PCs, are ok.  Users who have closed or withdrew their computer, secure wireless network profile, can no longer connect.  They get just that the network is not identified.  I do know that if there was any sort of update Win7, or some other grow, but I assure you that from the point of view WLC, no problem.  Thanks for any help!

There is an open with v7.6 and of 3600 and 3700's question.  Users are in the executing State, but they lose the layer 2 connectivity.  Ther will soon be a patch out of the public for issues with the 3700's, which affects customers who are on the 5 ghz only.  With the 3600 problem seems to be with 5 GHz and 2.4 ghz but with 802.11n not customers.  It is what I tested and what Cisco has been able to replicate.  If you do not need to be on v7.6, unless you have the 3700's, I suggest you go to v7.4.121.0 or v7.5, if you need help for the 3600 module 802.11ac.

    Thank you

  • Change connector Administration certificate

I installed OUD using a certification authority issued the certificate during the installation by using the option - useJavaKeystore and I see that the LDAPS connector is using this certificate.  However, the Administration connector always uses a self-signed certificate.  I would replace this certificate self-signed with the CA that issued the certificate.  I tried to find instructions, but all this I found this link (Management Administration traffic to the Server - Guide of Administration Oracle Fusion Middleware for Oracle unified Directo...) that had this little introductory text: "You can manage the certificate in administration connector using external tools, such as the keytool utility."

To dig a little, I think that I came up with the correct sequence/steps to get this working.  Basically, I deleted the admin-cert leave two keystore: / admin/config-truststore and/config/admin-keystore.  I then imported the key pair that I created for the initial installation.  I also changed the /config/admin-keystore.pin to match the PIN that I used when creating the key file.

It seems to work, but I would like to know if it's the correct method and if there would be side effects to replace the certificate used by the connector to the Administration.

The exact measurements that I follow are below:

    1. Generate the key and key pair:
      1. keytool - genkeypair - dname "CN = server-cert, dc = myorg" - alias server-cert - keyalg RSA - keypass "myKeyPass" - storepass "myKeyPass" - keystore mykeystore.jks
    2. Generate the certificate request
      1. keytool - certreq-alias server-cert - mykeystore.jks - file myCertRequest.csr-keystore
    3. Get x 509 server certificate authority certificate (server.crt) and root CA Cert public (rootca.crt)
    4. Import the CA certificate root in keystore
      1. keytool-import - trustcacerts-alias root - file rootca.crt - keystore mykeystore.jks - storepass "myKeyPass.
    5. Import CA issued certificate into the keystore
      1. keytool-import - trustcacerts-alias server-cert-file server.crt - keystore mykeystore.jks - storepass "myKeyPass" - keypass "myKeyPass.
    6. Change keys to OUD Admin default truststore password
      1. keytool - storepasswd - keystore $OUD_INSTANCE/config/admin-truststore - storepass ' content to admin - keystore.pin'-'myKeyPass' new
    7. Change password for keystore from the keystore default admin OUD
      1. keytool - storepasswd - keystore $OUD_INSTANCE/config/admin-keystore - storepass ' content to admin - keystore.pin'-'myKeyPass' new
    8. Modify the password in clear text to the new keystore password
      1. Vim /$OUD_INSTANCE/config/admin-keystore.pin # replace with the new key [myKeyPass]
    9. Import the CA certificate root in default admin truststore OUD
      1. keytool-import-trustcacerts-alias root - file rootca.crt - keystore $OUD_INSTANCE/config/admin-truststore - storepass "myKeyPass.
    10. Import the cert of the CA root key by default OUD admin file
      1. keytool-import-trustcacerts-alias root - file rootca.crt - keystore $OUD_INSTANCE/config/admin-keystore - storepass "myKeyPass.
    11. Remove admin-certificate self-signed default admin truststore OUD
      1. keytool - delete - alias admin-cert - keystore $OUD_INSTANCE/config/admin-truststore - storepass "myKeyPass.
    12. Remove admin-certificate self-signed default OUD admin keystore
      1. keytool - delete - alias admin-cert - keystore $OUD_INSTANCE/config/admin-keystore - storepass "myKeyPass.
    13. CA issued import keypairs in keystore default Admin OUD
      1. keytool - importkeystore - srckeystore mykeystore.jks - destkeystore $OUD_INSTANCE/config/admin-keystore - srcstorepass "myKeyPass' - deststorepass 'myKeyPass" srcalias - Server-cert - destalias admin-cert - srckeypass 'myKeyPass' - destkeypass 'myKeyPass.
    14. CA issued import keypairs in default truststore OUD
      1. keytool - importkeystore - srckeystore mykeystore.jks - destkeystore $OUD_INSTANCE/config/admin-truststore - srcstorepass "myKeyPass' - deststorepass 'myKeyPass" srcalias - Server-cert - destalias admin-cert - srckeypass 'myKeyPass' - destkeypass 'myKeyPass.

    Hello

    This procedure is correct.

Expect administrative tools using admin port (for example dsreplication) invite you to trust the cert (new) server.

Note: This administrative action will be facilitated in a later version of OUD... Stay tuned.

  • Is it possible to undo editing library picture on Mac OS?

    Hi all

I tried to open the photos app today and he shouted that he could not import the library at first launch. Googled around and found that we can hold cmd + option to launch the repair of the library. Repaired and I can not find the photos now.

I see that in the Finder > photos > Photos Library.photoslibrary/Masters always has my original photos and is very important. But the changes I did seem to have disappeared.

Is it possible to cancel the "repair"?

What is a good way to do for me now?

  • AnyConnect

What are the steps of (Simplified) allowing the Anyconnect on an ASA.  Is buying an SSL certificate required? Thank you.

The AnyConnect client is used for the full SSL VPN tunnel or full IPsec (IKEv2) tunnel. Each method requires a certificate SSL on your ASA. You can use self-signed, private or public CA CA / RA as the source of your certificate. Cisco recommends the third option, because it will be recognized as an automatically trusted root certification authority. Option 2 requires your customers to import the certificate root of the CA sigining in their store of trusted root certificates. Option 1 requires that they import the self-signed certificate.

With respect to the establishment, you can follow the VPN remote access Wizard in ASDM. Oyou go road SSL CA certificate, you should have that in hand advance.

  • TMSPE Service listed under status Services MSDS

What is the possibility of having the TMSPE service listed under TMS Server Maintenance > status Services MSDS?  I know TMS creates a ticket whenever the service does not or stopped etc, but would be nice if the MSDS list status with it is other services (if they have been installed of course).  Would be a faster way to identify if it was started or stopped.

    Hello

It is already in the back MSDS of "relatively easy to implement improvements that will improve usability", but no release of target has been set.

I exported just the request of functionality to the publicly visible issue, traceability, so you should soon be able to monitor CSCub06841 no progress.

I would like to enter the thumbprint SSL "B846B9F36C1D978CEDA0199294E61B4515656396"? I looked online and even asked some people but never able to retrieve this property by using PowerShell/PowerCLI. I can do it easily on one other system Windows with openssl (http://www.virtuallyghetto.com/2012/04/extracting-ssl-thumbprint-from-esxi.html), but wanted to see if there is a way without going through relays on the external packaging and since it is available as part of the connect-VIServer, I thought it must be possible but my PowerCLI-Fu isn't quite at the height as the others , figure so I ask. If it is indeed removable, which I guess it is then a bonus would be to format and so I have a variable that looks like: B8:46:B9:F3:6 C: 1 d: 97:8 C: ED: A0:19:92:94:E6:1 B: 45:15:65:63:96

    Hello

Green screens are almost always a sign of a video driver issue.  Could you please send the contents of your "Display devices" section after generating a DXDiag report?

What is a Dxdiag and how to report a?

I suspect you may have an outdated video driver.  This FAQ can help you learn the steps required to update:

  • Creating a certificate by job in DocSign program

I am currently developing a plug-in for Acrobat Pro to use for our company to use locally.  It will be used to programmatically create a certificate that uses the connection user ID and electronic signature.  Then, it exports the certificate to a server location (if the location of the server does not already contain this certificate to users).  Basically I want User1 to review doc, doc sign, then send doc to User2.  User2 then reviews doc, sign a doc and then issues the document.  The reason why I created the plugin is so 1) there not to be any training to set up an electronic signature, 2) so that everyone has the same signature of research using the username, 3) so that the signatures then all check against the location of the server so once User1 sends the doc to User2 the User1 signature is valid when User2 opens the document.   I was able to create a customized by program appearance using the username, but the certificate is hardcoded as John Doe in the DocSign SDK sample.   I have not been able to find a way to create a digital ID PKCS #12, when the user opens Acrobat Pro and then export it to the location of the server.  Any ideas or I go to this topic how completely wrong?  Thanks for all the help!

    Manually, sure.  But not programmatically.

  • ESXi 4.1: Got USB to work on virtual computers.  But VM Windows reports that no host controller USB HI-SPEED installed... »

Just upgraded to ESXi 4.0 to 4.1 and see some signs of progress on the issue of the support of USB devices.  I was able to add the brand of my Dell UPS (made by Eaton) and SBS 2008 it has detected and power management now shows battery and plugged in settings Finally I can safely shut down or Hibernate my VMs!  I wonder if I can install this connection USB uninterruptible power supplies on all my virtual machines of Windows and get the native Windows UPS management?  Only way to tell, I'll post back once I have it try...

Back to the original question: when I tried to add 2 different USB, Windows memory keys reported an error of installation:

Then I also have a popup telling me that no HI - SPEED Host controller not installed.  In addition, USB memory sticks do not show as readers, which no doubt associated with the forst above error screen.

I'll restart the SBS 2008 VM and see if that helps.

    Thanks for posting.

You don't need to worry too stop host, maybe unless your ca stop on power failure and you have an extended battery operation and the host is likely to overheat in this situation.  You can use plink SSH on ESXi host application turn off (must enable SSH first of course) or use a properly designed perl script.
