Signature in Microsoft Mail

Any ideas how can I add a logo and the signature format in different fonts/colors/sizes in Microsoft Mail using Vista?

Assuming you mean Windows Mail, (Microsoft Mail was a precursor to Outlook Express), here's how to do it.

Note: The HTML Signatures must be less than 4 KB.

Open a new Message window and create your signature. (Insert the graphic & text). Click on the Source tab (view |) Source Edit if not already checked). Highlight the complete source code and copy / paste into Notepad. File | Save under and in the file name field, save as htm, (i.e. Sig1.htm). It will be saved in My Documents by default. Go to tools | Options | Signatures. Click: File | Browse and insert your saved signature | Apply. You can now rename it if you wish.

Help!  I use Microsoft Mail for several years and had no problems.  When I first got my laptop, I created my user ID and password and from that moment, I never had to enter the usr ID or the password. Yesterday (3/18) everything was fine today (3/19) a window opens and asks me to enter my username and password.  Stupid, but I don't remember what they are.  Here is the error message received: "account: 'David', server: 'mail.bellsouth.net', Protocol: POP3, server response: '-ERR failed connection ', Port: 110, secure (SSL): no, Server error: 0x800CCC90, error number: 0x800CCC92.  I'm under IE and my OS is Vista, 32-bit.  Thanks in advance.

    1. call your Bell South. They made your user name, password, all.

    2. What is your antivirus (AV) software?

Find out if your AV has option of electronic analysis. If Yes, is it turned on? If so, please disable it. If this does not help, please temporarily disable your antivirus software. See if the problem goes away.

  • Upgrade to Windows 7 and Microsoft Mail

I've recently upgraded from Vista to Windows 7.  In the process I was told my Microsoft Mail is no longer function but I would be able to access my files.  The download has created a shortcut on my desktop but when I try to open it nothing happens.  How can I recover my files?

Also, I guess I now have to download other software either Microsoft Exchange or Outlook to receive emails.  Is one of these freely available somewhere?  Can you give me direction?  Thank you.

Go to the Microsoft website and download "Windows Live Mail".  You will find it is very similar to the Vista mail client... and for me it automatically put all my emails sent, deleted and saved in Vista in the new system.  Try this link...

  • How to open a PDF file in Microsoft Mail - Version Microsoft Vista

I ache to open a PDF attachment in an email sent to my email from microsoft.  Premium version of Windows Vista

    Thank you

Microsoft Mail has not been in production for 15 years. Using the default Vista Windows Mail? Adobe Reader is installed? The attachment opens if you save it on your HARD drive? If so, then create an association.

Save the attachment to your HARD drive. Right-click on it and open with | Choose the program. Find and choose a program that works, (Adobe Reader), then check the box: always use this program to open this type of file. This should allow you to open these attachments in the future.   Bruce Hagen MS - MVP [Mail]

I bought a computer with windows Vista 64 bit. The seller has convinced me that I don't have outlook, as it had Microsoft mail. I tried to sync contacts and calendar, but have problems. Contacts seem to be picking up information from the fields, so I lose a lot on the blackberry or the spread between home info and info office. I have not been able to tt sync until the calendar to the alll. I am using Desktop manager V5.0, the version of the platform is 3.4and application versiin is 4.5.0.131. Is this an inherent compatibility or it should work?

  • How can I change the automatic signature to e-mail in Windows 8 RT?

The title says it all.  I can't find a way to change the default "Sent from Windows Mail".

You can change the signature of e-mail account settings. To get the account settings, you can use the windows + I shortcut keyboard or select settings in the charms of windows taskbar, and then select the account, and then click the account you want to change the setting for.
