  Our office is testing a Topaz electronic signature pad. I've got it works fine, the only problem is right affter that someone has signed with the stamp of the electronic signature the oringinal PDF registers itself. I'd rather have the user use the Save as option and save it to a different location so the original form cannot be changed and the user can still click on the oringinal to fill a form, not make a copy of the oringinal then open the copy and fill it. Is there a way to change this?

  You are correct George. I contacted "Topaz" on this problem and here is their response

  In the Windows\GemSignPdf.ini file is a parameter:

  SaveAs = 0

  This is to change:

  SaveAs = 1

  and save the file. This will prompt the user for the save location and the name as opposed to the registration of the document as it exists already.

  So I got the job save slot, I wonder why this is not set by default, but I wanted to this post on the forum, just in case someone else has this problem.

  Use the pad of Signature plugin Enkitec. Why don't you use this plugin, but only its features.

  Also, the plug-in can save the signature to be registered as JSON CLOB or BLOB image in the database.

  I'm putting in place a "Topaz" T-S460-HSB-R electronic signature pad. I have correctly installed and signed documents on one computer, I clicked on the field of the sign and a signature field has come down to you sign and BOOM your done. But try the same process with the same document on another computer, I get this:

  

  First of all, I don't even have any type of password although acrobat beg to differ, secondly I'm trying to set up this computer so that the people who come in can sign documents, they fill out so it will be signed by many people and I can't get this pop up every time. I know this has something to do with digital IDS, but Im not sure how to remove it or put in place a public version. Any help would be appreciated.

  I have 4 fields of digital signature in a PDF form.  Next to each signature is a field of date (format dd/mm/yyyy).  I would like it so when a user registers the signature box that fills the date next to her field with today's date, then change to read only (so it cannot be changed).

  In Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro, I have this form and it has the following fields

  Signature fields trigger a Topaz.GemSignPlus driver where the end-user will sign on an electronic signature pad.

  How do I use Javascript to detect when one of these Signature fields is populated and fill in the date in the appropriate date field?  I tried to create Boolean variables initialized as false for each field of GIS.  Then when the signature is complete, I try to change it true, but for some reason any my javascript detect that the value does nothing.

  I searched the net endlessly for this solution.  I can't believe I'm having a difficult time finding an answer.  I mean how many places you go where they ask you to "sign and date here."  Each document signature base I've ever seen also requires a date.

  In any case, here's what I have.  Functions, I have a script called JavaScript Document name populate date:

  It's a round script. Why not just use the signature signature of script to set the value of the field date? The correct syntax for this is:

  It seems that you can run Windows 7 on a system designed for Windows 8 and you run without drivers TouchPad.

  This does not explain it.  No worries.  This is not my personal specialty;  I have a couple of options for you.  If none of them does not work because the pilots have not features you need or the drivers don't work well on your machine, we can ask for additional help.

  For something like this, it is best if you have an external mouse attached - it's common sense and not because of something flakey on occur.  It's like the race without a disc of recovery and personal backups: you can get away with it for years and then ONE day, Poof - here you are with a blank screen and no way to recover your data.

  In fact the Touchsmart from HP computer you have is not supported for Windows 8.1. You have it backwards.

  You may need to reinstall Windows 8 to regain use of the tactile function of your PC all in one.

• Vista SP1, and Adobe Acrobat digital signatures not compatible

  I have a laptop HP with Vista home premium.  I installed Adobe Acrobat 8 professional.  I installed Service Pack 1 for Vista and lost features of Adobe.  Whenever I try to open a PDF with a digital signature, the system freezes and requires a hard restart (remove the battery and everything) to go back.  Given that digital signatures are a part of my daily work, they are required to work.  I uninstalled SP1 and everything went back to normal.  Any update or fix for this?

  You have two separate issues.

  You do not explain what are your "mouse pad problems", and because you didn't also determine which laptop Dell model you have, I can't give you specific advice.  Take a look at the following page which, although specific to the laptop computer Latitude 131 L, applies to your touchpad as well. http://www.support.Dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/DSN/en/document?&docid=361927

  If your touchpad hardware is actually dead, or if you want to use a mouse instead of the touchpad, the Microsoft Wireless Notebook Optical Mouse 3000 is a reasonable choice.  If you just plug the transmitter into a USB port on your computer and turn on the mouse, it should work without needing to install anything (you may need to reset the transmitter and the mouse buttons to reset on each device).
