Silver style another style Subvi

When I create a control for a Subvi it will always use the style used in the Subvi. I want all my money style controls, but now I'm stuck between the silver style and part of modern style. Is there a way to bypass the Subvi style? If not, is there a way to create literally any control without using the right click Create control on the Subvi?

PS. the last question is my problem especially with DAQmx VI. I don't know how to make a physical channel the exact type of right, for example one that acknowledges that the counters. If I create a physical channel in silver style in the Panel, I can only select the analog inputs, regardless if I connect to a physical channel of meter, analog output or analog input.

I'm using Labview 14.01 (64-bit)

I found the solution to how to create a proper control of the silver way. It turns out that the issue is not related to the silver style.

If you create a new physical control and is enough to connect it to a 'DAQmx create Virtual Channel VI', you will only be able to select the analog inputs (in my case at least). This applies both to money and modern controls. However, right click the control on the front panel, then selecting I/O name filtering allows allows you to select the type of I/O. here, you can change the behavior of the control for the analog output, digital input, digital output, meter etc.

Thank you very much for your efforts, I'm sorry, this proved be a question I should have been able to solve earlier myself.

If there is someone who knows a direct substitution in the creation of a control in the style of the Sub - VI, please post .

    Hi my friends.

    I installed labview 2011 32 bits. I select money style my default control style. but when I create the new VI, labview creates no controls in the silver model

    the controls are created in modern style.

    can someone help me solve this problem?

    with all my thanks: Saeid

    If you're down by controls via the palette, then it will drop any type palette you are in.  You are most likely in the range of modern control.  The setting that you are talking about is when you create a command or the indicator by right-clicking on a primitive terminal.

  • Can I hide the objects of modern style in my Quick Drop menu?

    Hello

    I prefer the silver style far and never choose objects of modern style of new graphical interfaces. So, I want my menu Drop fast to not display the controls modern/lights - is it possible?

    Thank you

    Although you can't hide Quick-Drop option, you can certainly facilitate all your controls money favorite go by creating shortcuts, personalized for each control. Shortcuts are dominating matches with the filter so they will always be the preferred selection.

  • call a Subvi mode no exicution

    Hi all

    I need a method to call a Subvi another VI, Subvi should be mode no exicution. Can someone help me please...

    on a button click Subvi is open, but it is currently exicuting all supported. I need to no exicution.

    Thank you...

    Why do you need it not applicable?

    I'm guessing as to what you want really here.  You'll probably want an OK button on your Subvi and then have his execution code.  This would allow the user to enter the data first.  If this is the case, then you want to use a Structure of the event on your Subvi looking this OK button to press, then the logic set within this event.

  • Nugget weakly Darin - 04/01/11

    Lately we missed our weekly dose of useful information you need to know from an insider of NOR.  To help with this vacuum, I offer you a weekly dose of useless information that you should forget about an outsider of NOR.  Without further ADO, here is the first installment of cool things I found buried in the vi.lib.  Here is the cool screws which, for some reason, just have not made their way onto the pallets.

    Cool this week VI: "game 1 D String Array.vi"

    You can find this guy in vi.lib/AdvancedString.  It seems that Explorer 1 table D, but there is a very useful key, you can associate a regular expression (regex) and not simply an exact string.  An another homebrew Subvi of my gets kicks on the sidewalk.  I think that my personal version has a cleaner comic, but they win the contest for the high hand icon.

    I also like how there are several layers of coolness with this one.  If you look at the comics, you'll see that they use the regular correspondence Expression_Execute.vi.  As I mention in my example of Regex Helper , it comes to the regular business of the XNode Expression object end of game, and I often find that the output table more useful than individual submatches.  I also really like his partner who returns the offsets.

    The bug is that if you pass an empty array and a pattern of non-empty, the loop will never stop because it checks that the number of iterations is equal to the size of table minus 1, and not if it is greater than or equal.  This VI must use a loop For with break to avoid this situation (see that nugget no-so-weakly for more information).

  • Conflict loading two LLBs

    Hey,.

    I'm having a problem call two separate LLBs of TestStand within the same performance. If I create a file of sequence and call other LLBs execution can operate without problem. If I create a file of sequence and call LLBs of both LLBs loading will fail and forms will give this error message:

    I made sure that all the screws that have been created in each project are only appointed so that they come into conflict during loading. But I'm not aware of what other possible conflicts that may exist or a method for the diagnosis of what is at the origin of the conflict. I know that the LLBs both contain some common XNET Subvi another common Subvi, but they should be the exact same Subvi and I didn't have a conflict with the other LLBs in similar circumstances.

    So, I'm not really sure where to go here to solve the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    Kevin

    Hey Kevin,

    This looks like a problem with namespace for me. Even if the components of VI are named differently in the LLB, it would probably still a problem. LLB does not prevent name collisions.

    I recommend actually change how you distribute your components VI as. LLB is a little dated and have some drawbacks. My recommendation would be to manage your LabVIEW code as libraries in the project (.lvlib) or packaged the project libraries. The last post of this thread by user Jervin Justin actually brings up some really good points about it,

    http://forums.NI.com/T5/NI-TestStand/what-are-the-advantages-of-using-LabVIEW-projects-in-TestStand/...

    Based on this thread (and the information contained in this white paper on libraries of the packed project) I probably recommend a packed library project would approach for a solution to what you are looking for.

    Here are some additional documents that you might find interesting:

    TestStand Help: Libraries of the LabVIEW project: http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/370052K-01/tsdeploysystem/infotopics/lvprojectlibrary/

    With the help of LabVIEW with TestStand (page 7-7): http://www.ni.com/pdf/manuals/375070b.pdf

    Honestly, I would try on implementing an approach to project packaged for your test from VI library as opposed to the. LLB. If this is not feasible for you, however, we can try to address the problem in a different way. Let me know.

    Have a great day!

  • Switch a paragraph to another Style?

    I did a lot of research on this and I can only find versions more complex of what I'm trying to do.

    I just need to find all the text in the document with an applied paragraph style and change to another existing paragraph style. I did a bunch of different ways of trial and error and I am even not approach. Looks like it should be pretty easy.

    Please, keep in mind that the first paragraph of style cannot be deleted from the document, there need to stay in my model.

    Any suggestions? It would be a great help.

    Thank you!

    app.findTextPreferences = app.changeTextPreferences = null;

    pStyles = app.activeDocument.paragraphStyles;

    pStyle2 = pStyles.itemByName ("SecondPara");

    app.findTextPreferences.appliedParagraphStyle = pStyle1;

    app.changeTextPreferences.appliedParagraphStyle = pStyle2;

    app.activeDocument.changeText ();

  • Can I find and replace an object? And I can copy styles from another file InDesign?

    Hi all

    I hope someone has a solution to these two...:

    First, I have a line object between two text frame, and I want to change the thickness and color, no problem, it's

    the problem is I have 100 of them and now I'm a one, is it all find and replace for an object?

    Secondly, is it possible to copy a style from another file InDesign without synchronization of all styles in a book file?

    I'll be very grateful for an answer!

    Thank you

    Vraja

    In the find and Replace dialog box, there is a tab object. You can find your line by its attributes and change. I suggest the setting up and style object and replace all your lines of this style. In this way, the next time you need to change them, you can change the style.

    Regarding the copy of a style of an InDesign document to another. You can just copy something to the style and paste it into the document you want to move to.  (This will not work if the style of the same name exists in the file you are pasting to. In this case, your stuck item would take on the attributes already defined in the new file).

  • Copy properties/attributes of style element to another element?

    I want to ask you if anyone knows if there is a short path to copy item properties of another object than to go through all the possibilities with script. There are very many opportunities with shots and so forth, so it might be useful...

    I mean like with the "eyedropper", but with the script

    I can put them manually as below. But I just want to know is already possible "shortcut" to manage this copy of style kind object?

    var doc = app.activeDocument;
    var selectedItems = doc.selection;

    var newLayer = doc.layers.add();
    var ellipse = newLayer.pathItems.ellipse(100, 0, 100.0, 100.0, false, true );

    ellipse.fillColor = selectedItems[0].fillColor;
    ellipse.strokeColor = selectedItems[0].strokeColor;
    ellipse.strokeWidth = selectedItems[0].strokeWidth;
    ellipse.strokeDashes = selectedItems[0].strokeDashes;
    ellipse.strokeDashOffset = selectedItems[0].strokeDashOffset;
    // etc etc...

    You can bring an object to store the attributes you want to copy any piece of art, and then use this object as data for a function that takes another element of art as an argument and applies to all the appropriate options from the data object.

    My sample code here relies on having 2 points of path with the names of "mySource" and "myDest".

    The appStyle object acts as a Clipboard to hold the attributes of the art style and it uses loops for component snap to apply and copy them, which means that art objects had a "copyStyle" or "applyStyle" properties, if you mess up, then the names would need to change to be unique.

  • How to copy a layer Style to one layer to another PSE9

    I'm copying 'fx' of an image to another, but when I try to drag to the next picture, it doesn't seem to work someone could help

    I held the ALT key and dragging but no luck...

    One way is to copy and paste the layer styles:

    1. right click on the layer with the layer style, and then choose the copy layer Style

    2. choose another layer and right-click and choose Paste layer Style

    (or select all of the layers that you want to copy the layer style to choose the paste layer Style)

    The above work equally between different documents.

    (click on the screenshots below for more great views)

  • In my GREP style, I want it to find another / (slash) in defined glyph

    Hello!

    I have a GREP style that I used to find fractions and it works fine.

    The question now is, we will not use the standard / in the set of glyphs, but another. This is a unique integrated into the police.

    It's the GREP style part I find her.

    ( ? < =\d)/(?=\d)

    Now, I need to replace the symbol between the 2 sets of parenthesis, the sound thing actually apply a style of character, to a unique symbol of the search in the set of glyphs, but I don't know how to replace it. I tried to copy and paste, but it did not work.

    Is there a way to tell a GREP Style to find a GLYPH UNICODE or GID number?

    So, it might look more like this:

    (? < = \d) GID217(?=\d)

    Thank you

    Babs

    I think \x {} is the correct syntax to refer to a unicode value.

  • Application of paragraph style without erasing the replacements, I need another way. Help me on this...

    Hello

    Here I m finding a particular paragraph style and its replacement by another paragraph style without erasing the replacements.

    The script below is working very well.

    PS = app.activeDocument.paragraphStyles.item ("Tx2");
    s = app.activeDocument.stories;
    for (i = 0; i < s.length; i ++)
    {
    p = s [i] .paragraphs;

    {
    teminal = p [j].appliedParagraphStyle.name;
    Alert (pname);
    If (teminal == "Tx1") {}
    p [j] .applyParagraphStyle (ps, false);
    }
    }
    }

    But is there any other way to do... You can help me on this topic. For example, I tried in the way below.

    myDoc = app.documents var [0];
    app.findTextPreferences = null;
    app.findTextPreferences.appliedParagraphStyle = "Tx1";
    myFind = myDoc.findText (true);

  • The world changing all Instances of one CSS Style to another

    I work with RH6 (HTML). I'm curious to know if there is a method / tool that will allow me to take all instances of a certain CSS style and replacement by another (for example, in the same way that you can by using FrameMaker and paragraph/character Styles). I'd like to be able to do that project nationwide, but if it must be done on a basis of subject by subject, it would be OK... I'm just trying to avoid the need to locate each instance of the style and change it manually.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    There is nothing like that built in HR or any other HTML editor, I think.

    You could do using a multi file find and replace tool but I wouldn't use the one that comes with HR. Also, whatever you do, make sure that you create a full backup before you start.

    If you want to change all instances of say

    to say

    that would be your search and replace. Do not forget to change closing tags as well.

    Perhaps the more likely you will want to change something like class = "red" to class = "green". Which affects only the opening tag.

    If you use a tool such as far from http://www.helpware.net , you can either leave it blows through all the headings, or you can control each instance of the tag and change it or pop it.

I must have changed something, but I don't know what because it worked on this version of firefox until a couple of days. Sites work on IE on this machine. First try to clear your cache and cookies for the site problem

    If you think you something changeed, throw an eye to

    • (May need to hit the Alt keyboard key to display the menu bar) View-> Page Style
      and make sure that you have selected (Basic Style)

    If this does not work, try Firefox Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode by pressing the SHIFT key when you start it, or by using the option help-> restart with modules disabled

    • do not change in the first window, just click on continue
    • only use the default theme
    • If the problem persists, then still in safe mode disable all plugins
  • Styles of different notes in a single document - another approach

    Hello

    I'm working on a book that contains two types of notes:

    • original notes of the author of a book - up to three on a spread, numbering restarts at each broadcast
    • notes from the editor of the current edition - compatible numbering throughout history

    I've prepared two different paragraph styles for them. The two types of notes may appear on a single page (some of them are even nested - comments from the editor of notes of the author, but we'll leave it for now).

    I am aware that InDesign supports not multiple reference styles. I searched for the possible workaround on this forum and on the web, but could ' t find a satisfactory solution. Then I tryied on my own - my attempts are described below. It would be great if someone could suggest a better solution or fix my approach:

    A. use standard notes feature for first style and anchored objects for the second:

      1. Create anchored some notes text blocks
      2. Apply an object style that moves to the bottom of the main text block
      3. Apply the paragraph with numbering style
      4. Creating a cross-reference (working as a reference number in the text) pointing to the paragraph number

    That works very well with one exception - if there is more than one false note on a page (and oh yes, there are), they simply overlap rather than be stacked at the bottom of the main text block. I was hoping to solve that by using the wrap text property, however it has turned out that wrapping does not work between two anchored objects. Their adjustment position manually would be a pain in the case of any change.

    B. let all notes as notes, but hiding their numbers

      1. Leaving the two types of notes as standard InDesign notes (so that they are correctly placed at the bottom of the text)
      2. Hide a number of reference in the text and a reference number using character style
      3. Styles of different paragraphs of Appling two to the text of the notes, with two different styles of numbering
      4. Creating a cross-reference as A solution and placing it after the hidden reference number

    This one seemed smart enough, until I discovered this numbering does not work in the set of notes (each note is numbered '1'). InDesign seems to treat as separate stories, regardless of what the parameters of numbering of lists. AAARGH.

    C. let all notes as notes, hiding their numbers, creating objects of the lively with reference numbers

      1. Leaving the two types of notes notes standard - like solution B
      2. Hide a number of reference in the text and a reference number - like solution B
      3. Appling different paragraph styles both in the text of the notes, but without no numbering
      4. Inserting a block of text anchored after each number reference (hidden) in the text
      5. Applying numbering to anchored text frames (using the paragraph style)
      6. Insertion of a reference at the beginning of each reference text, pointing to the numbering of the corresponding anchor text block

    This can actually work, but for me it is neither elegant nor reliable. For now I am stuck looking for a way to insert cross-references in the text of the notes automatically (there are about 250 notes, then that would be useful).

    So that is where I am right now. All advice?

    Thanks for reading all this

    Waldek

    IMHO, the cooler is to make invisible the base (appeal and references) numbering notes replacing the note calls by a block of text, anchored with automatic numbering [2 = object styles styles para 2 + 2 lists numbering] and references the references on those paragraph styles 2 remark.

    If you need a numbering on doc, easier, but if for example per page, just restart the 2 numbers per page for each page!

    As the only 250 notes, do this manually! Not really need a script! It's very fast! (~ 1 hour to do!)

    Of course, when it's done, let's do it!

    On all the doc:
