  You can create an executable file, if the customer needs that the runtime of LV. It is also accessible through the Web interface then.

  I struggled with this problem all morning, and... I realized that this code does not remove the FileGlobals variables. Code to create the fact, that runs before this code... So I corrected the code - it works now!

  Thanks for all the help, I found interesting things of couple - I did not know this increment of the changes made to the file.

  I use the full IO in c# on a system with a basic deployment license, and I see that a lot of commands is disabled, for example single-pass and execution (only Test DUT is active); also "Break" and "Break all ' in the menu debug is disabled when the system is running.

  I remember those who are active on other systems in the operator interface and I also checked that it uses the model that I use on all machines.

  What can cause such behavior?

  Peter,

  It is a question of privilege.  What are the permissions of the user that logged in TestStand.  If it's an operator then you will see thos grayed out like that.  If it's a developer, technician or administrator, so they should be available.

  Yes, you must use the resizeStack command. Please see Re: how to repair fsck "your drive could not be partitioned..." Bootcamp does not as an example.

  I just got a new laptop because my old card mother fried on my desk. The old master by car is very good and I have a transfer kit that I can use to transfer some files I need. I can't figure out how to transfer my Firefox profile on the new laptop computer. I can not locate where the files I need transfer and do not know what files those who would. Only article I could find here requires being able to either launch Firefox or the operating system. I can't do either so help please.

  You will need to take ownership of the files if you do not have permission to copy files. You need to do when running Windows Explorer as an administrator.

• LabVIEW Interface for installation of the Arduino

  I want to install the LabVIEW Interface for Arduino Toolkit, so I can control an Arduino Uno R3.  Say the instructions to download and install the VIPM and then you can download and install the Toolkit through the VIPM.  The only problem is that workplace of our company doesn't have access to the internet for security reasons, so the VIPM will not be able to download the Toolkit.  How can I download manually the Toolbox for a laptop without LabVIEW, save it on a usb key, then install manually on the workstation with LabVIEW?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  I asked the very question sometime back and here is the answer I received. I decided to use another computer on the network for the work of the Arduino, so I never tried what was suggested.

  I intend to go for some CMOS camera,

  but I have a huge doubt before buying, the camera of menttioned above is not anywhere in this list. Nor can I see any type being supported USB device.

  The question is

  1. is a camera regardless of the interface is available for use with the LabView interface?
  2. Can I build a VI to communicate with any device image and recording of camera and take the data?

  Any kind of help or advice is greatly appreciated... I have to buy a CMOS camera and begin to run.

  I am pleased that this information has been useful, one thing I wanted to mention is that USB 3.0 has its own standard USB 3.0 Vision which is currently not supported. If this camera is also Direct Show compatible then you will be able to acquire an image using IMAQdx and manipulate all the attributes that are published to the API Live Show.

  I hope that USB 3.0 Vision will be supported in the near future, and we tentatively announced for this standard of communication for the August 2013 Vision Acquisition Softwareupdate.

• ASA - upgrade to 8.4, impossible to ping inside the interface via IPSec VPN

  We have configured a site 5, site to site VPN scenario.   Last week, we have upgraded 2 devices ASA 5505 to 8.4.2.   Before the upgrade, our monitoring software would ping the inside interface from remote devices to confirm VPN tunnels were established, as well as the addresses of remote devices and the outside of the ASA.   While we were on 8.2, remote equipment successfully ping the inside interface.   After that we went to 8.4.2 we can do a ping to this interface.   We looked at the newspapers and we see the ICMP traffic that is listed in the newspaper, but the remote equipment does not receive back icmp traffic.   We can ping successfully from local hardware interface inside and the external interface of remote devices successfully.  In addition, we can ping material behind the two devices in both directions successfully.

  We are unable to remotely manage the device through the VPN tunnel

  Net is:

  ASA #1 inside 10.168.107.1 (running ASA 8.2)

  ASA #2 inside 10.168.101.1 (running ASA 8,4)

  Server 1 (behind the ASA #1) 10.168.107.34

  Server 2 (behind the ASA #2) 10.168.101.14

  Can ping server 1 Server 2

  Can ping server 1 to 1 of the SAA

  Can ping server 2-ASA 2

  Can ping server 2 to server 1

  Can ping server 2 ASA 1

  Can ping ASA 2 ASA 1

  can not ping ASA 1 and 2 of the ASA

  can not ping server 1 and 2 of the ASA

  cannot access the ASA 2 https for management interface, nor can the ASDM software

Conditionsof : 1. the problem occurs if ASA is on 8.4.2. Not been seen on 8.4.1. 2. the user directly logged in the face of internal interfaces no problem with ICMP/telnet/ssh/AMPS in their respective interfaces. Workaround: The problem goes back to a Manual NAT statement that straddles the address IP-access to the administration. The NAT must have both the source areas and destination. Add the keyword "research route" at the end of the statement by NAT solves the problem. Ex: IP address access to the administration Interface of the ASA is 192.168.1.1. !   What we called stale session and can be removed with the restart of the agent.

  You can also manually clean session expired operator.

  I have in the past created VxWorks shared libraries for use with the Module of Realtime LabVIEW 8.2 and 8.5 and there are various required tools due to the change in versions of VxWorks by these two Versions of LabVIEW.

  For your information, I would be interested to know if changing to LabVIEw 8.6 Realtime Module will require still a new compilation, or if this version is always based on the same core VxWorks 6.3 and my shared lib would therefore simply continue to work?

  Place the structure of the event within a while loop. Take a look at some of the examples provided with LV, for sure, they show it.

  Then, use the change event of value for the ok button (square button of the terminal that fram for the locking behavior set correctly).

  You can pass the data of XY to the loop to output in the same framework of the event to read the moment you press the ok button.

• Question for the Experts of Teststand

  Hello!

  I need some advice on what the best method to perform the following operations in Teststand. I have a PLC driven station and who communicates to the control device in the IP Ethernet Toolbox. My question is: what do you suggest the best way to handle this, since I have several files of test sequence to run based on the number of series/model gave me of the automaton.

  • Can I change the user interface and include a separate thread for communication PLC.
  
  
  • Create a top level sequence and a LabView VI to manage the PLC com, then depending on the load of serial number sequence and load dynamically. If I do this how I pass the success / failure of the test to the top level sequence?

  If I were in your shoes, I would have a VI in the PreUUT that loops and checks the PLC for relaxation.  Then he would continue on.

  I threw together a simple example that illustrates the kind of what I'm talking about.  You may need to adjust some things around, but if all goes well, it depicts the idea.

  I am wanting to avoid the situation where a newspaper operator (Windows), should open close Labview 2012, then open the Teststand operator Interface.

  If not followed then the operator Interface opens Labview 2010, which is not wanted.

  Thank you I could remove the old version of Labview and that each operator only has to open/close once Labview 2012.

  Or you can deploy your automation, so it does not use the development environment and it will automatically detect the correct version of the LV RTE.
