Since FCPX as file format for iDVD

Hello.
I wanted to know what is the right way to export a Final Cut Pro X on a DVD with iDVD software.
Usually export to format ProRes, but files are very grain.
There is a procedure for this purpose?
Thank you.

Export as a master file ProRes LT will work fine.

Drop export into iDVD, and let it do the coding.

Expect a drop in resolution is always standard definition DVD.

  • Should I change file Format for CD burning

I'm new with this please bare with me. What I can say all the music I have purchased through iTunes is in the AAC Audio file format. All the music that I imported into iTunes MY Cd collection has been imported with the Apple Lossless Audio File.

My question is the sound quality of the BEST CD, do I have to convert the music I bought, with is in the ACC Audio, Apple Lossless file format, then burn to the CD? There should just go with the Audio of the right VAC on CD file. I ask this for music that I bought. All the other songs I imported CD into itunes is already Apple Lossless. I am not concerned about the larger files, just to get the best sound quality for CD.

    Hi 80vette,

Thank you for using communities Support from Apple!

I see you are eager to learn more about the quality of the music, and if you can do something else to get them to a better quality.  Now it is possible to convert your AAC to Apple Lossless files, the only change you will see is a significant increase of disk space being absorbed by these songs.  Simply put, you can put the lossless format, but you will hear no audio enhancement.  In addition, encoded AAC files downloaded from the iTunes Store already compete with the quality that you hear on a CD of music retail:

AAC encoded files compete with the quality of the audio CD and sound as good or better than MP3 files encoded in same or even a high sampling rate. For example, a 128 kbps AAC file should sound as good or better than a 160 Kbps MP3 file. Because the flow is weaker, the AAC file is also smaller than the MP3 file.

  • Best file format for Illustrator and PS files be placed in the ID

I am writing a proposal using InDesign. It will output to PDF format for circulation among members of the team; I guess they will be view on a variety of screens and some will be to print on various desktop printers.

I have a variety of images, all in color, in InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator to be included in the proposal. Varies from 5 x 7 to 2 x 2. Some are quite complex with fine detail.

I just saw the proposal in preview overprinting ID / high quality display. The images don't look great. A lot of jagged lines.

I usually save all in JPEG format with a quality of 80-90... but it's just a habit, I have no reason or justification for this practice.

I wonder if I should go back to the original files of ID, PS and and save it back as something else before and then place them again.

Does anyone have recommendations or thoughts to offer?

I use CS4 on Mac. My computer is a little underpowered for the project at hand, but I'm willing to put up with a bit of slow performance and lag if it translates into a better final product.

Irregular line is a feature of low resolution, no type of file or an overview screen lower quality than you think that you are using. Check the display performance settings again to make sure they are really good, and if they are configured to allow object level settings, you will need to make sure that each object is also correctly.

Beond that record in .jpeg format is always destructive. For the web, it's nice, but for printing, you should never use anything, in my opinion, but the quality parameters for registration of JPEG files, and I recommend using jpeg at all. If your picture is that all raster data (pixels) Save .psd or .tif. If she has live type or any other vector content, save it as a Photoshop PDF. In Illustrator to save as .ai or PDF with Illustrator editing capability. If you change the extension of the files PDF Photoshop PDP they open in Photoshop rather than Acrobat when you use Edit Original.

As I said, the effects of stairs are a feature of low resolution. We often have people tell us that the file is 300 dpi, but it turns out that it is a very small dimension and the imaga is furred in ID. Both links and information signs can show you the information of resolution of your images. There will be two numbers, real and effective. Effective resolution is the only number that is important. I would like to see a minimum of 150 dpi for printing on a desktop printer, but you could get away with as little as 90 for a non-critical image. Press 300 ppi would be the rule, and a fall below 200 asking trouble.

How the file looks like ID is not nearly as informative as how a PDF file that was exported in the file looks like, or prints. For a high image resolution in the ID you are still looking at an overview of screen resolution lower, not the actual image, because she will be out. Export settings that downsample too far or apply too much compression to reduce file size also can turn a good document in an old piece of junk.

  • Use of the file format for saving file after eating a raw extension file

Can someone explain the below please.

    (1) gross via Apple Photos and go edit the open module where it opens as a raw (nef pending).

    (2) open extension to step it up. Modify and save files.

    (3) file recorded while still in editing Photos watch module is like a jpg in the title. Right-click on the image and select Info and watch as raw

    (4) close edit module and look at the files in the photo browser and again and with all recent changes in place, it becomes a raw file (in the title and information).

    (5) raw open again file to modify the module and it says jpg (but Info says gross)

What is going on? Any ideas? It's the jpg or raw or he's just read jpg info in the raw file? Or is it a big one. My ideal would be for the first to be kept in a form original and edited our at least edited to be tif.

    Thank you

    Colin

Don't worry about this. Photos must save the JPEG preview to view your changes in the RAW.

  • Oracle Retail file format standard for batch - necessary specification

Is there the exact specifications of the Oracle Retail standard file format for batch, such as EdiUpcat.pc (with possibly of examples)?
I am producing a file with the change in the cost of provider for the batch of changes in cost (ediupcat.pc).
'' Operations Guide - overviews batch, designs - volume 1, '' I found a brief description, even if it is not unclear to me
    (1) what should I do with empty values (of course, cushion with a number suitable spaces?)
    (2) what should I do if some string value has fewer characters that it is specified? I should pad left or right-pad?
    (3) what means Number (12.4)? The number of characters exactly? 17? So why the values in some fields are multiplied by 10000 (as well as get the integer value) while in others, they will Number notation (12.4)?

    Hi Roman,
I'm happy to be of assistance.

Try to see it like this:
A number 20 is char-length 20 in a flatfile, and the value is what it is 1:1.
A number of 12.4 char-length 12 in a flatfile, but must be divided by 10 ^ 4 (10000) to get its real value.

Indeed, there is a funny asymmetry in the documentation how are managed decimals - but we had to carefully read already anyway... :)

I've always liked to build a file by hand in an editor (vi, whatever) and then run it through the program and check for errors in the error file.

    Good luck and best regards,
    Erik

  • Acrobat of PDX / IDX file formats

    Hello

my client wants that I create a user interface (with Adobe AIR) to search in the index files Acrobat and view the results.

I need a way to read files from Index of Acrobat (not sure, where real indices are, I think in the *.idx files) form ouside Acrobar Reader.

If I had the pdx / idx format specification I would try to implement a parser, but I can't.

Another option would be to export IDX / content PDX to XML with a third party application...

    Any help on this?

    Thank you!

The file format for our index files is not published, sorry.

  • Change the default format for burning discs of this system active files in the ISO image format

How can I change the default format for burning discs of this system of active files to ISO image format?  I don't want the active file as the default system and really don't want to have to choose what I want to use the default every time.  It's boring. I have Vista x 64 on my computer and have not yet adapted to all the changes in XP.

Thanks, but it's not useful.  It is more that an 'improvement' Microsoft did that, as I fear, is a total and far failure to be an improvement.  It also means that I'll just use a 3rd party program to burn all my CD/DVDs.  You know if I wanted to be able to remove, reformat, etc.. CD/DVD I would use those rewritable.  That's why they exist.

  • What is the correct format for a single. File ALX for pre and Post 5.0?

    Hello

We have an application which works fine on the pre 5.0 BlackBerry OS.  We have one ALX file that uses the _blackberryVersion designation to determine what COD files must be installed to which devices.  We do this because we build separate sets based on the device, for example, the version of the storm is more optimized for the storm devices.  It was all working well, but with the release of BlackBerry OS 5.0 OS versions seem to have changed.  Previously, the storm was 4.7.0.x and when the tour came out it was 4.7.1.x.  Now, however, so the Bold 9700 and Storm 2 are the two 5.0.0.x to the less based on the OS versions for the two simulators available right now.  It is therefore impossible to use the name of _blackberryVersion in the ALX file, at least for us, since we have different files COD for the storm, with touchscreen and other devices without touchscreen.

So, I try to understand what the appropriate method for the use of a single file ALX is in this case.  From what I can tell the _blackberryVersion element uses only the three first sections of the version, for example 4.7.0 or 5.0.0 so even trying to make it more specific would not work and would also not practice for all minor versions that will be potentially different carriers.

I did try to use the name of the series, for example , and even that would not work.  I also tried with 9500 | 9530 | 9550 and always had an error in the Application Loader saying there is no compatible software.  At first I thought it was due to some sections of with _blackberryVersion and then some with the series.  But I tried a new ALX file with just the designation of series and still no luck.

Has anyone found how to do this properly yet?  Are there examples of ALX files which series =? Someone at - it examples of work from ALX files that use the _blackberryVersion and the series?

Before everyone jumps on me, I'm not the real Director of enforcement, I only update the ALX file.  So I don't think it's possible to have a single file of COD to build, but at that time, that never would have happened so I need to find the best solution with different files of COD, that shouldn't be a problem because she supported and described in the documentation.

If I need to display the ALX file please let me know.

    Kind regards

    David Dewaele, Jr.

Is there any file where configure us formats all we will support in blob.

    Hello

Maybe the problem is that you do not have this extension in the table of MIME type and you must add it.

    It will be useful,

Images II 7 d would be directly supported in Photoshop CS5 as requiring a new camera raw.

So, you must download the free DNG Converter to convert these images to DNG and then open the DNG converted in Photoshop.

In photoshop elements go to Image > Mode and click on 8-bit/channel and see if that makes a difference.

  • Since the upgrade to CS6, I see is no longer how to convert files from, for example, a PDF to JPEG and vice versa.  It used to be so simple.  Can anyone help with this?

Since the upgrade to CS6, I say is no longer how do to convert files from, for example, a PDF file as a JPEG or another type (gif, png, etc.).  When I look at the file in the Finder it simply brings me directly to my original in inDesign document, rather than to appear on the left side of the screen with the save option under sub folder as it did before.  Does anyone know how I can convert the files, I need to do a lot!

???? Conversion of files with InDesign? Never have been possible. The only thing you could and can do is to export an InDesign document. You can export to PDF, jpg, etc. just like before.
