Since I've upgraded to Firefox 35.0, the site of the New York Times causes Firefox run slowly.

The site of the New York Times is the only site because of Firefox to experience this extreme slowness. Firefox update made no difference. To view the website of times without slow, I had to add the site to the blacklist of the JavaScript to YesScript 2.0, but this, of course, disable many features of JavaScript on the site.

Try disabling hardware acceleration in Firefox.

You can also try to disable hardware acceleration in Flash Player and turn off protected in Flash drive mode

  • The New York TIMES link no longer works in Firefox

Anyone has an idea why my NYT subscription works in Firefox is no longer but works fine in other browsers? When I try to log in, it takes me a message that says:

"Firefox has detected that the server redirects the request for this address in a way that will never end."

Can I do to solve this problem? Thank you.

This may indicate a problem with the cookies that NYTimes has stored in Firefox. We're may be damaged or outdated information could be mixed with current information.

I suggest to delete your cookies for the site. If you can view any page on the site, try one of these:

    • Right click and select View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies".
    • ALT + t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies".
    • Click on the globe or padlock icon in the address bar > additional information > "View Cookies".

In the dialog box that opens, you can delete cookies from the site individually.

Then try to reload the page and sign in again. Any improvement?

In some cases, changes in parameters or modules improving privacy protection can block certain information that the site requires. If just clear cookies and accept the new does not resolve the problem of redirection, it could be one of the following problems:

    • "Cookies third party" blocked
    • Blocked Referer header
  • When my home page (iGoogle) opens Firefox left loading several pages like the New York Times, etc. on the page of Google. Why is this? It can be corrected? Thank you

The question preceding pretty well explains the issue. The entire page just does not load, no matter how long wait. He seems to cling to the csi.gstatic.com

Reload Web pages, and ignore the cache.

    • Hold SHIFT and click reload.
    • Press 'Ctrl + F5' or 'Ctrl + Shift + R' (Windows, Linux)
    • Press 'Cmd + Shift + R' (MAC)

Clear the cache and cookies from sites that cause problems.

    "Clear the Cache":

    • Tools > Options > advanced > network > storage (Cache) offline: 'clear now '.

    'Delete Cookies' sites causing problems:

    • Tools > Options > privacy > Cookies: "show the Cookies".

Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > appearance/themes).

  • As of today, why can't log on to the New York Times with Firefox, but can do with Internet Explorer?

I called the New York Times, and they said that they had several people with the same complaint. I did not have this problem before today. Normally, I recognized when I go on the site and do not have to connect at all. Today, I was not recognized and when I tried to connect, it says that there is an unspecified error and wouldn't let me open a session.

I solved the problem. It turns out that there was a problem with my anti-virus software, which involved a filter cookies that had to be put off. DOH!

  • Please help - my version of VMware fusion is to old to be upgraded. If I buy the new version can I transfer my existing set up?

So I installed my Mac at El Captian & annoyingly my version of VMware fusion (5.0.3) is no longer supported and will not open.

Even more annoyingly VMware fusion offer upgrades to the new version for those who use the version 6 or later.

In any case, big question if I buy the new version is there a way I can still access my current setup?

Would like if someone could let me know. I am self employed & I've got software out there that are vital for work :/

    Hello

Welcome to the VMware communities forum.

There is no problem with the Fusion 8 recognizing of your virtual machines to Fusion 5 (or more), it will go just pick up where you left off.

There are a few borderline cases, as it officially you should have your virtual machines closed and not suspended and preferably without clichés before upgrading to a newer version of the merger. However, in practice I saw real topics with that either.

Note that it is recommended to backup your virtual machines before going any further. Do this by copying them to an external drive (not dependent on time machine for backups of virtual machines) and then disconnect the drive.

You can start using on Fusion 8 for 30 days trial period, simply download it from here:

Try VMware Fusion or Fusion Pro. Run Windows on a Mac without rebooting.

Once it works as you want, simply assign the license to the merger to change it in the full licensed version.

    Hope this helps,

  • I need to open the web site even in two separate tabs. Since I've upgraded to Firefox 6 when I try to open the web page in a new tab in the list in the drop down in the address window it gives that the opportunity to move to the already open tab.

When I get off the fall from the address window, rather than display the URL of the Web site I want to open in a second tab says "switch to the tab '. But I don't want to move to the tab - I want to open a second tab on the same URL. If I want to open it a second time, I have to manually enter the address. Is it possible to turn off this option so that I can open the second tab by using the same address in the drop-down menu? I was always able to do this with the previous versions of Firefox.

"Is it possible to turn off this option so that I can open the second tab by using the same address in the drop-down menu?

You can install this add-on: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/switch-to-tab-no-more/

Not related to your question, but...

    You must update some plug-ins:

  • Since I've upgraded to Photoshop CC 2015, the screen becomes black frequently

I always have to restart Photoshop and his behavior usually... for awhile... and then it goes black again. The action that triggers the behavior seems not to matter. The selection of something, try to remove or to add an item, placing a new graphic, choose a tool, etc.. Makes me think that this isn't a bug specific to a tool, but something more at the system level. The research of the community on this subject is not raising something now, but I had searched a couple of weeks and found something about upgrading the graphics card. Well, I'm running a MacBook Pro with the retina years, 1 TB of RAM 16 GB Flash drive and, as far as I can tell, Apple does not offer a way to independently upgrade to a graphics card, and Apple has not released any updates for this card. I think that the ball has got to go back to Adobe. Any help would be greatly appreciated, as it's extremely aggravating-$50 per month! ;-)

You can disable GPU acceleration in preferences and SE if that helps?

  • Download junk in the background every time that I run Firefox (and I do not have installed AVG)

I am aware of this: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/997796 - but I haven't installed AVG. Every time I run Firefox, even in an empty tab page, a few seconds later my bandwidth starts used. I got Cucusoft Net installed guard and TCPEye, and both show that Firefox is connected to the internet and download - even if I have not loaded any page, there's always on 'new tab '...

I too FDM, but this happens with or without its execution (ditto with my XAMMP localhost installation.)

I have disabled all add-ons, and run Firefox in safe mode, still the same thing happens: when I start a new tab, my bandwidth is murdered (parenthesis: my normal surfing via Telkom Mobile internet is sloooow between 60 Kbps and 250 Kbps if I'm lucky, but the download of this background is off-the-charts more than 1 200 Kbps and a few seconds) (, I lost more than 20 MB of mobile internet really really expensive, I just can't afford to waste, that's why I have all these monitors TCP and network graphics running all the time.)

I also ran a Kaspersky rootkit revealer and reported no threat. I have ZoneAlarm antivirus and firewall that does report also no infection (ditto ClamWin)

I found the problem... it's Firefox.

How bloody rude of Firefox... I put my browsers NOT auto-Update (because my bandwidth is so bloody expensive) but you choose to override my settings and auto-update anyway... WITHOUT MY CONSENT.

    How bloody rude.

There's a reason why we put 'no' to the updates, and I expect that respect you this shit.

  • The benefits of the Windows 7 Home Premium to Professional Upgrade will be lost to the new Windows 8 Upgrade?

I ordered the 7 Home Premium to Professional Upgrade when I ordered my new HP computer, I picked up today. (for which I paid $65,00)
It also suggested me the upgrade of Windows 8 when it comes out @ 15.00.
If I lose all the benefits of the first upgrade to install Windows 8, I want to go back to the first upgrade unopened.
They allow only a few days to do this.
    Thanks for your help

The base provided with your computer (Windows 7 Home Premium) license will already be a license of qualification. An Express (Windows 7 Home Premium to professional) upgrade may not be an eligible license because its an upgrade. To use the Windows Pro 8 upgrade, the base provided with the computer license will be it.

So, Yes, you could return the Anytime Upgrade If you wish.

  • Activate the upgrade of windows 8 installed the new SSD

Yesterday, I received a new SSD and I wanted to replace my current SSD. I knew it was not going to be easy to do this, I think that MS hates me :-(.

In any case, I have a 8 win upgrade key. So what I did is first install win 7 on my new SSD but the problem was, I couldn't activate win 7. The message was that this key was already in use (which could be true because my current SSD has been improved for this key).

So I continued and installed win 8 hollow upgrade its Web site. Finally, when I try to activate I get this lovely error "0xc004c003 the activation server determined that the specified product key is blocked. I googled and the result was MS hates you. Now, I am very sad and don't know what I just loved and hated not being. I tried phone activation and other tips of register of google, but it wouldn't help.

If I plug my old SSD I can see that windows 8 is enabled and works but I don't know how to get a clean install on my new SSD.

    Please stop hating me :'-(

    Try the phone activation:

    1. press the Windows key + X , and then clickrun, and then type: slui.exe 4

    2. then press the ENTER"" key.

    3. Select your "country" in the list.

    4. choose the option "activate phone".

    5. stay on the phone (do not select/press all options) and wait for a person to help you with the activation.

    6. explain your problem clearly to the support person.

  • I thought Mao of moving from a PC to a Mac.  Do I have to purchase a new compatible version Apple with Lightroom, that I have to pay to upgrade or can I get the new version free?

I think to change from a PC to a Mac.  Should I purchase a new compatible version, Lightroom Apple, can I switch to it, or can I do it without I paid for the PC version?

What Keith said, to be more precise, you can install the same version of Lightroom for which you have a serial number.

If you want to change the version say LR 4 to 5 LR, you will have to pay for the upgrade.
