  Your site is not defined correctly in DW.  You should NEVER see your remote site root directory in your local files Panel.   It must be set in the settings of your remote server with your FTP credentials. See screenshot below.

  Can I export just the desktop version of my site and not the mobile version with it? I am busy working on my still of mobile site, but the work is done on the office site which must go live every day.

  You need to do 2 things for it.

  1. click on 'office redirection' of site properties to remove the exported files of redirection codes.

  Do please go to file > Site Properties > provision > phone > uncheck "Desktop Redirection"

  

  2. after the export of the site in HTML format, delete the folder named like 'Phone'that contains all your phone configuration files. Rest of the files are for desktop PC.

• Protection and recovery Site ESX versions

  All,

  Not sure if this has been asked before, but is there a compatibility issue if my protected site is running vCenter 4.1, ESXi 4.1, 4.1.1 SRM and my recovery site is running vCenter 4.1, ESX 4.0 Update1 and SRM 4.1.1? Basically it is based, and I will have issues if my ESX version is higher on the protected site.

  Although it is important to keep all versions ESX and vCenter the same, the difference in ESX versions directly will not affect SRM or the recovering site as long as controllers (vCenter) are the same at all levels. Most of that depends on SRM is databases.

• Unable to Preview Site with version CS3 using IE9?

  I have CS3 and use it with my laptop which is Windows 7 and IE9. When I try to listen to extracts in IExplorer I get a download to view window that opens read 'do you want to open or save this file. If I chose open, nothing happens, and it does not show the preview in Internet Explorer. Is there something that is not compatible with what I have?

  What type of file you want to listen to extracts? It's a PHP file? If so, do you have a test server and it runs?

• How the 4.01 version to have the TABS line nearby even as in 3.67. ?. In other words, the line of TABS just above window web site at 3.67. Right, in 4.01, is now in the top line of the screen.

  Basically, need a feature that allows the user to rearrange the location of tab line (ie: the ability to drag the line to a different location). For me, it would be moved from the line Summit of 4.01 on line facing down(as the place where it sits in versions of X 3.6), just above the window of the web page. That would make it very convenient to click on multiple back when necessary. What I constantly in my case.

  You can right click on the orange Firefox button to open the menu of the toolbar.

  • Click "Tabs at the top" to remove the check mark and place the tab to its original position bar just above the browser window.

  Despite checking that all the links are correct, the tablet of my Muse site adobe version shows only the Office site! (Checked on tablets of different sizes as well!)  The portable version that I'm building is displayed correctly on my mobile.

  The Tablet and phone of the special directories have been downloaded, so that they are ready for action. But the iPad is indeed simply go back to the desktop version. Maybe this little button has been turned off for the presentation of the Tablet ?

  After updating Firefox to version 14.0.1 I noticed when I typed in the Web address of my business that firefox was the site https:// version when it has never done this before.

  Example, if you type in amazon.com in the URL bar, you will briefly see that firefox changes the url to https://www.amazon.com before be automatically directed to the site normal www.amazon.com .

  My site did not have a secure index page and received a message generated by the server until I discovered this problem.

  Is there a setting in Firefox to prevent the URL bar by first selecting a secure connection? This behavior occur in newer versions of I.e. or Chrome browsers on a desk.

  Depending on the solution worked for me. Just put the following in the file .htaccess on your server and put your name field instead of the field below example:

  • RewriteEngine on
  • RewriteCond% {HTTPS} on
  • RewriteRule ^ $ http://www.example.com/ [R = 301, L]

  I was wondering if it is possible to have hidden text appear when you tap and hold an object on your site phone version. I will try to give an example to help clarify what I'm after.

  For example, I am a Graphic Designer under my article "offered services, I would like the user to be able to touch and hold an icon for, say, Print Design. When they touch and hold this icon, 5 bullets of text appear under the icon they hold, and all objects under this icon move toward the low make room for these 5 chips. Once the user takes their pressure on the icon, points 5 retract back to hidden and all the objects under the icon back in their original position.

  I hope it's possible? If so, how?

  Just try to press on and hold your finger on this text (or image) and you'll see why this is not possible. By pressing and holding an object in a browser, the operating system takes over and selects the text or the image under your finger to copy.

• Can my customer use Dreamweaver cs5 to edit a site Dreamweaver CC?

  I think currently to a subscription of the CC to Dreamweaver so that I can redesign a site, but the customer maintains and updates their content and will not be upgraded. Can they change their website using Dreamweaver CS5 once I have start to edit files in Dreamweaver CC?

  Dreamweaver is a glorified text editor and as such can be used to edit HTML, CSS, JS, PHP, XML and a bunch of other documents. The reason why I say this is because, regardless of the structure of a Web site, any version of Dreamweaver allows to change it. Where the difference is where it allows you to use the deprecated code or where it guides you to use contemporary code.

  In short, Yes, your customer can continue to use CS5

• Bind a Mobile Site on the full Site

  I have two different models for my construction site: (mobile jQuery) and (Tablet & more).  What is the best practice to ensure that when someone using a mobile device hits the site mobile version loads quickly and seamlessly?  I want to make sure that the user is not given to the mobile version of the (Tablet & more) site.  I need the jQuery to load.  In addition, what is the best of this situation: 1. Mobile theme (local) or 2. Mobile (CA)?

  There are a gazillion different user agents, and this list is growing every day.  If this is not bad enough, browsers often claim to be from other browsers and Safari is used by smartphones and tablets and desktop computers.  Browser detection is not 100% reliable.

  Detection of the resolution that you say?  Very good except new mobile & tablet now have HD screens.   Who exactly are you will bring out here for the site mobile and allows you to see the site of life-size?

  Remember also that as mobile devices improve rendering, users often prefer to see the full site rather than the mobile version.

  I think the best you can do with your current scenario is to create a load super fast landing page for all.  Add links to both the mobile scaled and full-size site.   Let people decide what is best.

• Impossible to select the site Manager tabs

  I had the same problem with the issue of 'root folder', as reported by many others, however, I have a go more away.  Once I have the problem of the root folder, I can't click on the tabs of the site (under the Site configuration; Site manager) in CS 5 Dreamweaver.  When I get the name of the Site and the Site Local folder correctly identified, NONE of the tabs on the left (Site, servers, Version control, advanced settings) can be chosen.  After trying to select one, the only way out of this screen is to use the ESC key.  Now, it's a problem, because information Web site, such as passwords, user names, test sites and all the other Manager site for details, cannot be changed.  "It seems that the only solution I can find is to export the Site of information to a USB Manager, bring it in my other computer (Dreamweaver CS4) and make the changes - even including implementation of new Web sites), export it back to the thumbdrive and import on my other computer.  I think it would be easier to start using Expression Web!

  I use Windows 7.

  Not sure where it is in W7, but if you read any of the recent threads about this symptom, you will find that it is a common feature of all.  Have you tried searching for these positions?

  FF version 38.0.5 and 39.0 fall by opening the first Web site. Version 37.0.2 works very well.

  While doing some research, I think that the problem is with Websense Triton AP - Endpoint DLP.

  In my case and many others that I've seen in various reports of incidents, the failed module is QIPCAP. DLL.

  I use Websense Triton AP - Endpoint DLP version 8.0 Build 2081.

  While they did not me with the code to disable Websense DLP Endpoint, they confirmed that there is a known issue.
  They asked me to run the FF 37.0.2.

  My order Web site requires version 5, 6 or 7 of firefox to run. I think that it be bad downgrade so I will try to find where I can download a portable version safely.

  There is a portable version for the Windows platform and not for Mac and Linux.

  You will need to install the other version in a different directory program via a custom installation.
