  Please provide the exact point of the software & OS installed on your system. Also check if it is there any update available for the software after going through "help > check updates.

  You can check after connecting this scanner locally to the system if asked its connected on network & then look for the same thing.

  I just newly installed Tiger on my PowerMac G4, and now it does not recognize the DVD/CD drive.  I did all the updates and it does not see the DVD in the DVD drive.  It works perfectly before a new clean install DVD of the Tiger.

• InDesign 2.0.2 will not load after years of work very well

  We publish a book (200 pages with many photos in color etc) and near of: completion.  We use InDesign 2.0 for a long time without any problem.

  Last night, all of a sudden, InDesign 2.0.2 would load at all.  He "quit unexpectedly" and a report has been published.  We are using Mac OS X 10.4.11.  All other applications and Mac OS X are working very well.

  As a point of reference, my husband connected to my computer separately and was able to open InDesign 2.0.2 and the file we saved the day before.  However, we must complete the book under my user name as all the work has been done there.

  Could someone please help.  We are under fire from the Publisher a delay.

  I regularly use the ScanToEmail app on my OfficeJet 6600.  Today I receive the email with subject 'Scanned document of user HP ePrint' ePrintCenter as usual, but no file is attached.   Usually this works very well for example the scanned document is attached.  There are no errors on the printer or elsewhere.

  Also, everyone knows about this problem?

  It seems that the HP servers sometimes catch (the printer sends the scan HP Server and then the server will automatically send it to you).  It's working now.

  I also found workaround to use the phone App.  Which worked perfectly - scanner of the printer directly to your phone and then send from there or whatever.

• At the opening of some Web pages I get a msg 'unable to connect to the server', but it works very well in startup

  The last few days during the use of the internet, some Web pages will not be not open. I get a msg of error saying 'unable to connect to the server', but it works very well with other sites such as Facebook and YouTube.  This happens when I use Safari, Firefox and Chrome.  Yet if I'm in Safe Boot mode it works fine.  I exaggerate the App installed VPN and when I am in normal mode and connect to the VPN exaggeration, all Web pages work correctly. I searched the net for days trying to find a solution but nothing I tried worked.  I'm not very computer savvy either so don't know much of what I do with this technical stuff.  I emptied the caches, but that did not work.  Following the advice of an answer to another question on this forum that was similar to mine, I went into the Terminal and performed a diagnostic test.  I don't understand all the information in this essay so hope someone here can decipher. The report is quite long, but this is the beginning of the pasted below.  Help, please!

  If a problem does not occur when it is started in safe mode, then you have already determined that the problem was isolated to a few 3rd party software running on your Mac.  Take a look at the information below to start with the removal of some elements of start-up and connection and see if the problem persists:

  Test your login items

  1. Choose the Apple menu > System Preferences, and then click users and groups.

  2. Click on your account under the current user name, and then click connection points.

     Make a list of the login items, you will need to remember later.

  3. Select all the elements of connection, and then click the button Delete .

  4. Choose the Apple menu > restart.

  5. If this solves the problem, reopen the preferences users and groups, add the elements of connection one at a time and restart your Mac after the addition of each of them.

     If the problem persists, follow the steps above to remove only the last element of connection that you added.

  This is caused by a liberal hijacking of APDivs (aka layers) for a main page layout.  This isn't what APDivs were intended.  That's why Adobe them removed from DW.  Unfortunately, not soon enough.

  I think you're the best option is to start over with a pre-built CSS layout that doesn't contain positioned elements.

  Either way, Flash is dead now.  Most of the people cannot display Flash media more.  You can convert the HTML5 video or use YouTube to host videos now.
