  • Include pictures of art Council in packed links folder

Is it possible to include images placed on the Board of the art in the links folder packed? Which means include all images when the packaging is not only the links in the document.

Here's my weird workflow as well. Perhaps someone could suggest a change that would improve the process.

1 - designers lay out the editorial features not knowing if the images will be on color or b & w pages (don't ask, I wish I could change that).

2 color images are placed in the layout, but the b & w versions are placed on the art map - directly left or right of the page containing the color version.

    3. features can sit for days until the time for paging.

4-production artists paginate pages as ad-logs are completed.

5 - images for editorial content are swapped, when necessary, for n/b - place the original images of color on the art map.

6 features are packaged for delivery to a team of web production which copies and pastes text and images into the web templates.

6 - If the color images are swapped for b/w when printing paging and packaged article they are not available for the web production department.

I joined a tenacious team that I finally convinced to move from Quark 4... but they can't let go of this process of art Council. Suggestions, comments or feedback is greatly appreciated.

    Just a thought.

Increase the size of the sludge to include images and see if they are taken when they are packed and then

I think tha response to that is no, but packaging DOES not pick you up what touches the background area lost. This mans defining a bleeding gives you a lot of space on the pastebaord which will be possibly included in the package, but it also means that using purge guides and the document bleed settings of the print and export dialog boxes is no longer valid, an inconvenience because you can easily add a new set of rule guides for the purge and set the dimensions of the purge in the dialog boxes.

Or get REALLY sneaky and define as huge purge, then set the slug as the size you want to use for the purge. When you print or export, do not set a bleed, but include slug area. The big downside to this is that the lost background area is included in the view when you fit page spread or adjustment in the window.

  • Bug when duplicating or dragging art Council.

Whenever I try to reproduce an art Council (option + do drag) or simply trying to move an existing art card dragging, I lost my field of vision and am moved somewhere else to the point where I don't even know what I was working on. Often time it brings the jury art with me and drops in a place I don't want that. It does if I click SHIFT or not.

Duplication and sliding boards of art are part I often do so, of course, that it is a huge point of frustration. I have the latest version of PS for CC. Anyone know how to prevent this?

Normally, you cannot see the actual canvas in the documents of the artboard. It is intended to be hidden. We try to give the illusion of an infinite canvas, but practically everything in Photoshop requires the existence of a canvas well-defined terminals so that everything can be placed correctly. Hide us just under the side of the artboard and we silently change things from the time that move around.

You can see the limitations of the Web in a number of ways, as light grids (while we fix this next version), or turning border canvas (preferences > Interface > Standard Mode screen - border = line, also being fixed in next version). With or any of these Visual cues, you can see the real canvas extend when you drag things off the edge and shrink when you make things more close to the Center. The intention is for real canvas hidden to always contain all your works of art and allows it to be fully visible.

Zoom in and out does not change the size of the hidden canvas. Only work within the document can do that - that's why I suggested the trick of placing small pieces of the work to the 4 corners of your planned work space.

Edit Add: and just to get on the same page terminology-wise, there is only one canvas in a Photoshop document. Work plans are in fact groups of layers with special properties, most obviously clipping delimits and a bunch of special behaviors attached to them. While you might consider several paintings in the document, under the hood are so not.

    Hope that helps.

  • rounded corner art Council/cultures / equivalent

    Hello

I'm a total newb to illustrator.  I am trying to print a picture on 8.5 x 11 (in cs5) inside a bounding box which act as a guide for cutting.  Of course, I also need the ability to scale and move the image inside this bounding box.

My research indicates there was a function "frame the area' which would have adapted, and that this feature is now called"art cards ".  The problem is that my area of crops, or the art Council, requires rounded corners on one side, so two right angles and rounded both corners.

I guess I could just create a form with the required dimensions and radius of curvature, and then to position my image.  Then I can print and cut along this form outside the border, however I thought it is a more elegant way to do it.

Is there a 'standard' way to do this kind of thing?

In this case, it was not clear, I will be cut by hand.  Have a 'form' to serve as a cutting guide would work, but I'd rather sort where the region has just cut and then I cut along the border of the demarcated regions.

    Thanks in advance,

    Cliff

If you do not need to send the file for commercial printing, simply create the shape you want to use for cutting and apply it as a clipping mask to the image. then print.

For commercial printing, create you the shape, cuddle with a spot color and set it to overprint.

  • Need help! Will pay! Need a script that will change the size of the art on several files.

I'll PayPal someone MONEY right now for this script. I have more than 400 files to process.

System/software: Adobe Illustrator CS6 on PC
    Filetype (s): .ai

I have more than 400 .ai files that contain work in all different sizes. I need a script that resizes the work at certain height or width specifications below.

Some of the height of the work is greater than the width, some of the width of the work is greater than the height.

If the overall of the art vertical height selected is greater than the width, I need the new height to be 166,6 pt
If the horizontal art width selected is greater than the height, I need the new width to 166,6 pt

The value of the width/height unchanged at 166,6 pt must be limited to the new values.

If possible, I also need to change the size of the artboard to 216px x 216px. He is currently in 512px x 512px.

    Help, please! I'll pay!

  • Pixel size of current art

I have an Illustrator image that I need to submit by 2400 pixels wide. I tried to 'export for the web', but do so includes the jury art format letter (and mostly empty) as part of my real image. It appears as a dotted rectangle that surrounds the actual image which is only about 1/10th/the size of the Board of Directors art. How can I determine the exact eight and the width in pixels of the image less art Board? So, how can I save the picture, and not to the art Committee, at 2400 pixels wide? Thanks in advance for your help.

Choose: File > Document Setup... and set the unit th Pixels

Select what you want to export.

In the transformation Panel make sure that w and h are linked and type: 2400 px in the w box.

Choose: Object > plans > selected Art coupon

Export at 72 dpi (you can choose to use work plans)

  • How to make my picture centered for newly created art Council? Align the tool do setting not at all :(

    Hi guys,.

So I have a pdf file that is located in an A4 format.

Printers have asked that I have create a bleed of 3mm on the edges.

I know I have the ability to bleed when you create a new page by selecting A4 and just add 3 mm in the substantive area lost.

I was told the opposite is to simply create a template to all the width and height of the A4 + 3 mm.

When I select file/location and open the image, it will appear at random anywhere on the screen...

I select with him has highlighted (blue line around the image) and try to use the panels to align without result.

    It does not move...

It is too difficult to try to get it centered manually.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

Are you sure you really studied the manual?

Find the small drop-down list in the Align Panel where you can choose to align to the artboard?

  • The "size of Board art" seems incorrect (1/2 actual size) when you try to modify the work plan?

Anyone had this problem before? Im working in CS4. When I try to "change artboard" to change the size of the presentation of the document, the size seems to be incorrect? In fact his appearance as a 1/2 size real. By example, if I created a new ink paper the size of the bed as: 4.25 "x 5.5" instead of 8.5 "x 11".  In the preferences, the units all seem to be configured correctly. I am able to create a box to size accurately, but not the work plan? It's never happened before. I feel that I have changed something by accident in the preferences? But can't seem to find a solution. Any help would be most appreciated. Thank you.

  • [AI - CS4] How to add an art Council to existing document?

    Hi all

can anyone suggest me the addition of a new work plan for existing document? I found no Palette of the artboard in CS4. But in CS5 it is given.

    Thank you

    D.A.

The Panel to the artboard is new to AiCS5. In CS4, a new work plan can be added by doing one of the two:

    1. choose the work plan tool and click-and - drag in the area of canvas of the Illustrator document.

    2. choose the work plan tool, click on the button "New work plan" in the control panel. Then select the size you want in the list of presets of the artboard in the Control Panel, then in the area of the canvas that you want to add a new work plan.

    I hope this helps.

  • Accuracy of calibration art Council

Does anyone know how to get the size of the artboard beyond to decimals. I don't see a preference to change this. Plans of work in CS3 were able to go to 0.0001 "why in CS4 they round.

I think that it is only a function of the display by rounding. For example, if I type in 3,5555 "for the size it rounds up to 3.56", but I think the size is still 3.5555' (at least I hope it is).

    OSX 10.5.6 CS4

This came a few times now and the consensus is that you are.  Who knows why they thought it was a good idea to remove a decimal?  Maybe they thought that nobody working in increments of 1/8 inch...

The other issue that has developed as it is a limitation built into Illy: no matter what he shows you, is to think of the points.  How many decimals it keeps when it made its conversion internal?  We do not know.  Enough that it is ever bitten someone bad enough to be mentioned here.

  • File upload does not complete on mobile for the size is greater than 1000K

I have a plan webCommerce 10 users.  We have several forms, some allow users to download 2 files attached by form.

If I read your documentation correctly, the max file which can be downloaded cannot exceed 250 MB per upload. According to the link here:

    User manual

However, when you submit a form via a mobile device (for example) even a 1000K file is not present and there is no feedback as to what is happening.

Users we have said that they cannot just fill out the form and eventually abandoned.

    Issues related to the:

    (1) the 250 MB per upload is correct? Is this true for all types of files and devices, all relevant documentation would be useful.

    (2) graphic while downloading file loading, is built in a place, or what needs to be written as a custom code?

    Thank you

Could be sitting all sorts of different things, without me there research code etc. it's hard to say... Will be something for you to do, making you have no script in your console errors, etc.

But it is good that you made a 7.5 MB raw and downloaded form test like that now hows you is not the out-of-shape box BC... That's what all my points were so you can start working towards the question of fixing.

  • Art Council

It seems that I have a NACK for difficult unanswered questions lately.  I hope I can get some answers, this time, so here goes.

The guys that I work like Page Maker.  For me, the difference between Page Maker and InDesign is like the difference between the slavery/severe restrictions and freedom to create and design, for the most part.  Anyway, he likes tobe able to place things on the artboard (the white space next to the page, on which he works) in Page Maker and have it at its disposal throughout the entire document.  Another words your work plan does not change even if your text document etc. flow changes from one page to another.  So, I need to determine how to do the same thing or something similar in InDesign.  In other words, if it's possible.  Anyone know?
