Size of the data in ASM file

Hello

What is the command to find the size of the data file in the ASM environment?

Thank you

An easy way to check the registrations to the ASM file is through the asmcmd - command line utility. For example

ASMCMD [+] > ls -sl grid1/dev-cluster/ocrfile
Type Redund Striped Time Sys Block_Size Blocks Bytes Space Name

  • error message about the size of the data store

I installed ESXi 5.1.0 on VMware workstation and interfaced the vsphere client management interface. It's all about

Windows 7 laptop. I am now installing a VMware vCenter Server device image by using the vsphere client. But I have

get an error stating: the capacity of the drive specified is greater than the amount available on the data store. Click Cancel to

back from the value of disk space? How is it determined? I tried to change the size of the data store

but I still get the same error. I do it just with what I have at home, and I'm new to VMware technology.

    I found this KB: http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US & cmd = displayKC & externalId = 1003565

And it seems to imply that the size of the block can be a problem. Block size for the data of my ESXi store is set to 1 MB, which is expected to support upward

up to 256 GB. I can't imagine that I need more space.

On a different note, would you please tell me how I can post a couple of groups? What is the policy on this?

I took a glance at the file unit .ovf and given the size of the virtual disk that is required for the data disk rose from 60 GB to 100 GB with update 1.

It can work to tweak/change the .ovf file, however, in this case I would simply create a larger store of data to meet the requirements for the virtual disks (25 + 100 GB + overhead).

After that I rotate image his 'Date Modified' goes from January 20, 2011 to September 1, 2011. • Size (size of the incompatible displayed ico file) Windows icons

Size (size of the incompatible displayed ico file) Windows icons.

After resizesing my medium to large desktop icons I see several icons are not become larger. Unlike most of my icons, he remained the same size, but instead, they were in the Center and a greyframe. As a result, he started the project of change all the icons in some new. ICO files which would give them the great nice to register in the other size. After that my work was done, I had a nice full Office of the great pretty icons, all of the same size and none inside a gray frame. I reboot (restart) my computer and saw, to my horror, this (see photo) all of a sudden a random amount of icons has chosen to go back to being small and sit inside a gray frame. I don't see any explanation as to what size of icons changed.

I try to change the display settings for size (control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Display) in 125% and 150%. Both times it switches around which the icons are large and small. so apparently no model at all. I restart again and find 2 icons went big and 4 other small. It's an amazing incompatible and it amazes me why windows this. Why can't keep windows icons (ICO) files to their proper size? (all my ico files support all sizes, as far as I know, and they have developed scale perfectly up down before the 1. Restart)

It's incredibly frustrating. MY question is. Can I just to force Windows to use the maximum size, or somehow it resolved so that windows will scale icons up and down properly?

    Hi Benjamin,

    Please contact Microsoft Community.

    Just a few questions first, to get a clear picture of the issue;

    1. What is the size of ICO file? Is - this (256 x 256)?

In Windows 7, App icons and Control Panel items must be in the .ico file format and all should includes following sizes of icons.

    • 16 x 16.
    • 32 x 32.
    • 48 x 48.
    • 256 x 256.

According to the guidelines of the screenshot, there is a difference in size ofcon I have, I suggest you to download the package of icon for the application you want to change the icons according to the dimensions mentioned above.

Note: Display in Windows 7 allows you to make text and other items large, such as icons, on the screen you, while keeping your display to its optimal resolution.

We answer with the result, then we can help you further.

  • Size of the data in a table and the size of the table

I am trying to determine the size of the data in a table and also the overall table size. I use the following query:

    SELECT BOTTOM (a.owner) as owner,
    LOWER (a.table_name) AS table_name,
    a.tablespace_name,
    a.Num_Rows,
    ROUND ((a.blocks * 8 / 1024)) AS size_mb,
    a.Blocks,
    a.Blocks * 8 Blocks_Kilo_Byte.
    a.PCT_FREE,
    a.compression,
    a.Logging,
    b.bytes / 1024 / 1024
    From all_tables a, dba_segments b
WHERE the a.owner AS SUPERIOR ("USER_TEST")
    AND a.table_name = "X_TEST_TABLE."
    AND b.segment_name = a.table_name
    AND b.owner = a.owner
    ORDER BY 1, 2;

Is this the right way to go about finding the size of the data in a table? If this isn't the case, please give your suggestions.

BTW, this in a 10g version.

You probably want to use the DBMS_SPACE package. In particular, the procedures SPACE_USAGE and UNUSED_SPACE to get an accurate account of the use of space in a table. Your application may give you a relatively accurate estimate if the optimizer on your table's statistics are reasonably accurate estimates. But there is no guarantee that the optimizer statistics are accurate.

If you want just an approximate answer and you're comfortable that your statistics are accurate, this query may be close enough. If you want a specific response, however, use the DBMS_SPACE package.

  • Purge of the records of the Table and the size of the data file

    11.2.0.4/Oracle Linux 6.4

We want to reduce the size of the DB (file size of data), so that our RMAN backup size will be reduced. So, let's create stored procedures that will purge old data in huge tables.

After you remove records, we will decrease the tables using the:

    change the movement line of table ITEM_MASTER enable;

    change the waterfall table retractable ITEM_MASTER space;

    ALTER table ITEM_MASTER deallocate unused;

The commands above will reduce the file size of data (see dba_Data_files.bytes) or it will reduce the size of the segment?

Only the segment formats will be reduced.  Oracle has never reduced the sizes of data file automatically.  You would have to reduce them.  You may not be able to reduce the size of data file if there are extensions to the 'end' (highwatermark) data files.  In this case, you will need to create a new tablespace and move all the objects for the new tablespace OR export, drop, create tablespace and import.

  • Is there a maximum size or the limit of text file during storage and data transfer?

    HI -.

We used WriteExtFile and AppendExtFile to store data in a CSV text file in a data folder in the same location as the executable files of Authorware.

    WriteExtFile ("data\\"^"Variable_Names.txt", Survey_Variable_Names)

    AppendExtFile ("data\\Survey_DATA.txt", Survey_Data)

As a general rule, we always put our executable files on the hard disk of the computer (c) due to some issues we had with an incompatible network drive in the past.  Have the files on the C: drive, eliminated any network problem.  Our data has accumulated would be always stored on the C: drive as well.

Now, we need to store a backup copy of the data on a server, on the C: drive.

My question is: is there is a maximum file size that can be "read in" and then "written" using Authorware?

My thought was to use ReadExtFile to read the content of the 'Survey_DATA.txt' file and use WriteExtFile to write these same data on a drive on the network, by adding the date and time at the end of the name of the file as a backup file.

I used this logic, which is working to write on the "P": network drive

    WriteExtFile ("P:\\Survey_Project\\BackupData\\DATA_BACKUP_"^Backup_Date^"_"^Backup_Time^".txt", Survey_Backup_Data)

Of course, the size of the original text on the C: drive file will continue to grow because "AppendExtFile" is used to add the data of every investigation file in the data file (CSV, each record on its own line).  If the size of the file we will read again (ReadExtFile) will also continue to grow.

Is there a limit to what we can read in and then write back?

    Thank you!

    Scott

My apologies, it has been a few years...

CopyFile is a function that you can load the WinAPI.u32

Once loaded, use it like this

    Success: = CopyFile (FileLocation ^ "Sourcefile.txt",)

    Destination ^ "DestinationFilename.txt") "

Remember that you must include WinAPI.u32 with your packed files.

  • Size of the data file

    Hello

If I allocated 1 GB to a tablespace, but common usage is 500 MB. And if I had to copy this tablespace to another location, what will be the size in the transfer? 500 MB or 1 GB?

If I summarized the size in v$ datafile, this will give me the total size of all the data file?

    Thank you.

    Hello

As I said on your other thread:

In order to write in the shared directory/documents, your application should request action "access_shared" and it must be granted by the user. Make sure you have

    access_shared

    in your bar - descriptor.xml.

Also note that the shared documents folder may not be the best place to write the application log data. There is one connects / in the sandbox to this effect, or the application directory data / directory if the information should be persisted. The documents/shared/folder is designed for documents that the user creates or interacts with.

    HTH,

    Christian
