• Integration with non-Oracle EBS products

  I'm new to EBS (I try to install EBS for myself and also - I'm going through the documentation), and I'm trying to figure out is - it possible to Exchange data between modules of the EBS and non-Oracle applications. I found nice about Oracle API links, Biz adapters and so on and I'm going to study them, but when I'm looking on some specifice modules, then their sheets contatin very limited integration with non-Oracle, actually - I assume that they are carefully selected partners. Then - I wounder, I feel of the documentation that the EBS is fairly open and we can build anything on them or in their breast, but - now I have doubts about this.
  
  Well - from my experience as a developer Oracle-no, I know that data exchange is a fairly common task and it can be a big pluss for system, if its data and services are, for example exposed as web services for inclusion in the larger process and so on. EBS aims in different ways (for example to restrict the user from the bowels of EBS EBS-sphere modules)? Right now I'm doing some specifications and requirements for a research project and I'm confused if I include my software with EBS integration or not, perhaps such integration is impossible?

  Hello

  Open interfaces were for the main entities for a long time, for example for financial services - AP invoices, bank statements, receipts (Lockbox) etc.
  With release 12, there are several APIs / open Interfaces with the general move towards Web Services (although not yet here!)
  You can find "end points", etc. of the API/Open Interfaces to http://irep.oracle.com
  All them above are supported with your standard EBS Support license.

  When you hit something where it is not an open Interface or API, then you move into solutions not supported. All database entities are visible (IE. Open) and the majority of the code is open or extensible. Of course if write you / change any support then moves to your responsibility. Use as much as possible private API (for example the API of PL/SQL using forms).

  So, in addition to the customization and expansion using the standard tools of the EBS UI/backend (OFA, forms, reports, PL/SQL, discoverer, Workflow, etc.), I know of people who have a front-end for data EBS using Oracle APEX (HTMLDB), PHP, c# .net, etc. of the ADF.

  In short, you can do whatever you like exchanging data, but there are moments where you go not supported...

  From what I've seen when you do 'query =' is not taken into account at all when estimating the size of the dumpfile no matter if you use blocks or statistics methods. All I can suggest you do is get the estimated size and then work manually on what percentage of lines you will be back and then just do a simple calculation.

  It depends on the size of your virtual machines, their rate of change, you want to keep, how many points in time how far out, etc. There is no formula for what there are too many variables.

  If you want to have an idea, take an average VM for your environment (rate of change, size, etc.), set the JEREMIAH where you want, run it to the period (for example. If you 6 points per day for 4 days, you will have to wait 4 days) and see what size all snapshots are on the recovering site.

• Change the size of the brush erasing with adjustment brush.

  I find autour and have been unable to locate the shortcut keys to increase or decrease the size of the brush while erasing. Support key is used to change the size of the brush in the brush itself, but when I press the alt key to switch to the eraser, I can't understand shortcut keys to change the size of the eraser. It works for the Panel, but it's a pain. There must be a shortcut for it. Thank you, Eric

  If you draw with a mouse that has a wheel, you can use them to change the size of the eraser. I can do Windows XP at least. If you use a tablet of some sort, you might be out of luck.

• How can I Descreening and adjusts the size of the image target with a HP 8600 n911 premium?

  I recently bought a new HP 8600 n911 premium all-in-one, top of the range HP all in one inkjet printer/scanner.  I can't find the settings that allow me to descreening an image (for example in a newspaper) or to adjust the size of the target image.  Y at - it additional software that will allow me to do that, or did I miss something in the software provided by HP?

  I'm not completely sure on this, but I think that the reason why the software on the all in ones does not include clipping options is because they already have software bundle so much together that add more options could make the software more combersome.  HP made software which includes Descreening options, but it's on the end superior ScanJet scanners of simple function only.  I'm sorry.

  So that other things I noticed, it's text.jsx does not work with UnitValues. It uses the action Manager to work with textRanges. And it seems that Adobe changed the textItem units operating. Therefore, it is difficult to understand what values to use. Text.addNewTextLayer () and Text.modifyTextLayer () seem to what different values for the text of the same size.

  So below is an example updated the PS-Scripts-post on how to create a text layer with different textRanges using the current text.jsx.Note I've hard-coded sizes for that to work as I had hoped.

• Size of the table only includes not Keynote - can not enter directly px

  I inserted a table on a slide, and he made two unexpected things:

  1. You are right. Selecting the Table tab and reduce line and column values will shrink your table, but the table resizing is not supposed to work this way.
  2. Control-click or two fingers press the alphabetical table header and select Add column after from this menu. The new column is added in place, and the other columns shrink and walk left to accommodate the new column, while the table itself does not move.

• Problem of brick wall: clusters, the size of the reference table

  Good morning forums,

  I hit a brick wall with my application and I hope someone can help!

  I have an array of clusters of size for an indeterminate period (the cluster is generic and data contained irrelevant.).

  Entries to the VI are: a reference to the matrix and a Variant that contains the data.

  My problem is that I need to determine the size of these two entries in table and I can't find a way to do it!

  If the table contained a standard data type I can use the class name property to determine the data type and the size of the array returned by the property "select size" to determine the size of the dimension.  With this information, I can throw the variant into the correct data type and use it to determine the size of the array.  If the data is a cluster to the name class simply returns 'cluster' then I'm so not able to determine the size and can't get the Variant.

  I'm not worried about the casting of data (once I've determined the size this bit is childless), I just need determine the size (and preferably number of dimensions) of the array. Is this possible?

• Cannot reduce the size of the VMDK file

  OK, here's my story:

  I started with the growable virtual 40 GB HD default mapped as C:\ on my virtual machine. The HD received complete and had poor performance and I converted it to a prealloue 100 GB HD. It worked OK for a while, but then I created a new virtual HD mapped as D:\ to store data.

  So my problem was C:\ was too big which made backup of the virtual machine of your time, and I thought I have to resize C:\ 30 GB. My first test was to convert it to a HD growable. This remains a 100 GB on the host vmdk file.

  Then, I used the two compacts from the GUI and stop at the command prompt on the convert HD Nope, still 100 GB vmdk file on the host.

  Then I used a disk management program to reduce the size of the c:\ partition with 30 GB and run both shrink and compact again. Guess what, the vmdk file is always 100 GB.

  I'm running out of ideas on what to do to reduce the size of the vmdk file. Any ideas?

  Yes, I did, but I used compact from the GUI and stop at the command line (vmware - vmdiskmanager.exe). At that time I didn't there's a shrink option in VMWare tools.

  In this case try to diminish with the extra partition (temporary).

• Flash increases the size of the Captivate SWF file

  I have a Captivate project that I export to Flash. Flash increases the final size of the SWF file with no items or perform any other edition. For example, the Captivate published SWF is 617KO and the Flash SWF published 1 599 Ko without adding anything. In addition, the JPG settings are of the same quality in both programs.

  I have to make some changes to the code AS that is beyond the capabilities of advanced Actions of Captivate.

  Any ideas that I could do to stop the inflation of file size?

  Having Flash generates a report of size when you publish the swf file so that you might be able to see whence the weight.

  You should post in the forum of Captivate in the case where there are people have similar experiences that can help shed some light on this.

• Estimation of lines wrong with the size of the dynamic partition

  Version 11.1. RAC 4 knots. I met a sql that runs slowly because the bad LINES estimate. Here's the exectuion its plan.
  Please note that the plan is just a part of the plan real exectuion. And I have collected statistics for all the tables involved, so I think that statistics should be updated.
  
  Please see below. CBO estimated that only 640 lines for step 5 and 115 for this SQL totall. But the real result was almost 14K lines.
  I don't know if the CBO made this mistake because of the size of the dynamic partition?

  The 'A-Time' is known to be wrong sometimes. However, the "buffers" are correct.
  So the reading of the partition of the fact Table was 14Mo scan (1804 puts buffer @8 KB each). Which is really not much.
  Yes, the cardinality estimate is off, but for a scan of 14Mo Oracle effort is not very high.

  Cardinality for the recovery of the fact table is based on the statistics of column for the BUS_UNIIT_SKID and the ACCT_SKID. Because Oracle does not know what BUS_UNIT_SKID and ACCT_SKID values will be extracted from the Dimension table that results in the query, it can't really come up with an accurate estimate - even more if the data are biased.

  From the column of table-level statistics, the optimizer knows how many distinct values of BUS_UNIT_SKID exist in the table.
  From the column of table-level statistics, the optimizer knows how many distinct values of ACCT_SKID exist in the table.

  But for a lost combination (BUS_UNIT_SKID, ACCT_SKID) in any unknown partition (the ' unknown' because it does not know the values or the partition during the query optimization) you can calculate an estimate only - the combined cardinality estimate is generally

  Your problem with the complex query is not likely here. You have to restyle the entire query instead of focusing on the estimation of cardinality for this fact table.
  The query can be modified to help identify the Partition - Partition pruning - advance statistics?
  The query can be modified in order to carry out the operations in a different sequence - get first performance and the effort of each step of the query Plan.

  (BTW: the Dimension table reading was the most expensive part of this performance)
