Size wide profile

Hello

I guess I am a heavy user of FF - use every day and many - for example a window closed last night who had 48 tablets in it.

my Firefox profile is 2.79 GB. It does not appear to be a problem, but before I try refresh - I wonder if this is excessive?

I use FF 38.0.5 with about 40 extensions and plugins on Mac OS X 10.10.4 with 10 GB of RAM

Thank you

What is taken up this space?

What is the main profile folder or the location used for the disk cache?

Thank you. It is the main profile folder in Users/xvz/Library/Application Support/Firefox/Profiles/abcdefgh.default (user)

I checked about: config and the largest cahce size is ~ 350 MB

But it seems that the culprit is Zotero is also to store its data in the profile folder, which is of ~ 2 GB.

Thank you.

  • Profile of mgmt?

Most people find windows profiles with sufficiently directed re roaming profiles or a 3rd party product should be studied?

I was looking for some suggestions, experiences etc - this is a 4.5 with 200 workstations Win7 view deployment, especially no persistent.

Floating pool, in most cases there is no need to manage a profile.

You can use the mandatory profile and refresh the desktop every time.

Data can go on sharing network and home directory (if necessary).

With pools of criterion, you can use the redirection of profile you on a dedicated disk, or use 3rd party tool or use the profiles in the right way mobile files redirect (+ files offline if you plan to use desktop also in local mode).

The big problem in roaming profile is the speed of the network (and on the virtual desktop, this has been fixed) and the size of profile (which must be quite 'small'.

Using the folder redirection, you can find a simply way to have profiles of 'light '.

Finally, you can use GPOS to manage also the configuration and parameters of profiles and users (or other tools).

  • New camera profile is not "appearance" in ACR, but it does in Lightroom

I recently created a profile of the camera to a Nikon D200, using a graphic picture of X-Rite Colorchecker and the chart feature in the DNG Editor.  I exported the camera profile.  When I go into the Calibration tab in ACR 5.5, the new profile does not appear in the drop-down menu with the other profiles of the camera.  However, when I go in the development of Lightroom 2.5 module, the new profile appears in the menu dropdown there.

I am running Windows 7.  Browse my root drive I find that if I look in the directory Users\User Name\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CameraRaw\CameraProfiles (referenced in the book of Fraser and Schewe CS4 Camera Raw as a location for profiles Vista) I can't find camera profiles, and when I place the new profile here it does not always appear in ACR.  When I look in the directory ProgramData\Adobe\CameraRaw\CameraProfiles\Camera\Nikon D200 I see the regular profile set of camera for the camera, as well as that I created, but as I said earlier, the newly created profile does not appear in the list of ACR.

A side note: I did a few tests with the camera profile names.  I added "XX" at the end of the name of profile Nikon Vivid (not post), and then this profile no longer appears in the list of profiles ACR.  I removed the extra letters and then the profile reappears in the list of profiles ACR.  Seemed strange behavior for me.  I also noticed that the profile that I created with the DNG Editor is significantly smaller that the others are provided by Adobe (28K against 110 k).

Hope someone has a suggestion for me.

Not sure why the profile does not appear in the two ACR and Lightroom when correctly in user-level file... should be. Also note that the reason the folder user level and not the ProgramData folder is only the admin level users can write to the ProgramData folder. Level user folder is the folder proposed because most any level the user can write to the user folder.

Regarding the relative size, DNG Profile Editor and created Adobe DNG - EP written profiles simplified while vender Adobe profiles are highly tuned and adjusted. I suspect that this makes them more...

Just a note, you exit and then restart the two _and_ Photoshop bridge after writing the DNG profiles for your level user, correct folder? I ask because some people have the bridge works without realizing it is running. Sure that the connection of ACR requires both apps either quits and restarted (you should not restart the computer if).

  • Updating of the computer erased my favorites, help!

OK, I had a problem with my computer a few days ago and we tried refreshing the computer. Now, when he said that he would 'Apps' we had no idea Mozilla was considered as an application. So now four months of bookmarks as well as my tabs of the Manager of the season have disappeared. Can someone tell me if the data was saved somehow, and he's hiding on my computer somewhere please?

The usual kind of refreshment on recent versions of Windows moves data in your applications in this folder:

    C:\Windows.old\

You will find this file? If so, can you find the folder:

    C:\Windows.old\Users\your username

If so, your old given Firefox might be in there. To explore more, it would be useful to set windows to display the hidden files and folders. This article has the steps: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/show-hidden-files

    Then search for:

    Your username\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles C:\Windows.old\Users\

Here you can find one or several folders named random semi. Who has most recently updated content is probably the one you want to restore from.

    Bookmarks only

Go down the old bookmarkbackups folder and copy the last two backups in a location such as the desktop.

The restore feature will replace the bookmarks in Firefox by default (and what you added since the reset) with all like bookmarks. If you want preserve newly added bookmarks, use the first, export function before the restore, then the import function later. The following articles have details:

    Success?

    Complete restoration

This post has my suggested procedure to resurrect your old wide profile in your new installation of Firefox. Please note the use of the copy instead of move throughout the process. This allows you to try again if it fails somewhere along the way.

  • I installed windows 7 from XP and reinstall Firefox. However, I have lost the list of favorites. Is there a way I can recover the previous the "Favorites".

Installed Windows 7 Professional custom in the required form XP. All the favorites were lost in Firefox and had to reinstall Firefox.
Explorers has maintained the Favorite list, I had to explore - quite different from Firefox.
Check the programs created separately by 7 to include the XP file. Favorites, registration is not relevant to the list lost on Firefox reinstall.
Question: Is it possible that I can get back the original Favorites listing lost when the 7 install, or is it 'gone with the wind "?

I have not read what is happening in an installation of XP to 7. You can find this file on your system:

    C:\Windows.old

If so, you can find one of these:

    • C:\Windows.old\Documents and Settings\your user name
    • C:\Windows.old\Users\your username

If so, your old given Firefox might be in there. To explore more, it would be useful to set windows to display the hidden files and folders. This article has the steps: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/show-hidden-files

    Then search either:

    • \Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profilesyour usernameC:\Windows.old\Documents and Settings\

  • How to import bookmarks settings on computer that has been wiped with no backup.

I had to "Refresh" the system of windows due to some problems. Without realizing that I needed to make a backup of my files Firefox to retrieve my profile later, I couldn't. I'm looking to see how I can return all my settings and bookmarks with this installation of Firefox without using a previous backup. In addition, the system restore will not work, as 'refreshing' the system deletes those. Thank you.

Have you ever created a Firefox Sync account to copy your data to Mozilla servers? If this isn't the case, it would be what can be recovered on your hard drive or personal backups.

The usual kind of reset in recent versions of Windows keeps your old user folder but it moving here:

    C:\Windows.old\Users\your-user-name\

You will find this file? If so, your Firefox data are probably here - and here's how I suggest to access:

First of all, it would be useful to set windows to display the hidden files and folders. This article has the steps: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/show-hidden-files

    Then click in:

  • Registration of image data to text - multi-column file

    Hello

I'm currently grabbing images using functions IMAQ and am averaging of each image through the columns using IMAQ LinearAverages.vi. I am currently saving these values (IE a size of profile line 1: n) to a text file. However, I have a large amount of images (M) to capture, so I would like to display each image line profile data to an individual column.

At the moment the text file captures all of the data, but in a single column, not very useful for the purposes of post-processing. Can someone suggest a nice way to do this? Records in a spreadsheet file better?

    I would appreciate any advice.

Statistically, some connections fail and frequency will depend on your system how busy is.

Set SQLNET. INBOUND_CONNECT_TIMEOUT to a value greater than 60

    My system:

    SQLNET. INBOUND_CONNECT_TIMEOUT = 120

You can also try adding to your listener.ora file

    DIAG_ADR_ENABLED_listener_name = OFF

In this way they need only connect to sqlnet.log

  • Help! -What creation customer I get this ERROR "To provide a positive whole number for the amount of the minimum balance customer or per cent balance amount overdue type is amount or percentage respectively."

What creation customer I get this ERROR "To provide a positive integer for the customer minimum balance amount or percent when the balance amount overdue type is amount or percentage respectively."

I tried troubleshooting when I saw the other post and created a new class of customer profile, but still get an error, even if I created another profile as below and existing it attached to another customer that has worked, but when I tried to create a new customer it still gives me the error. I use Oracle Applications R12.1.1

Steps I followed to create a new customer profile

= Make sure that the new class of customer profile that allows you to create is in the active state. Cross check the steps below when you define a class Profile of the client... e.g. name: by DEFAULT (and active)

    (* 1) profile of class tab :*

) a FWD billing balance: not enabled

    (b) billing-> tax print (summary by name of tax), consolidation of rule (DEFAULT)

    (c) define the conditions according to your requirement, allow the delivery & terms of substitution

    (d) Dunning set according to your requirement,

    (e) filled in info collectors according to your requirement of credit check enabled...

    (f) reception-> auto cash rule defined as 'Standard '...

*2) Load profile * ended it according to requirement

*3) Amounts class profile* for example say currency defined as 'USD '.

    (a) credit limit: 100000

    (b) limits of credit order: 100000

    (c) minimum amount: 1.00

    (d) statement amount min: 1.00

    (e) do not put any value in the type of exchange rate (for example, monthly, Plan etc...)

    (f) minimum customer balance: Amount-> value: 5.00

    (g) minimum balance Bill: Amount-> value: 5.00

    (h) right to minimum per invoice: 1, the maximum charge per invoice: 100 under the interest Charge

    (i) Reference Type as a set rate, value: 10

    (j) you can avoid using the penalties for now...

Step - 2_ one) open a customer... * go to Bill the site details *-> click on the profile tab-> under class profile field please include new profile class that is created by you (for example, by DEFAULT). (b) go in the sizes tab profile-> Click (Show) on currencies USD-> check the establishment here as well, I could see it.

When I tried to create a new customer using the new profile, it's repeating the same mistake. Help, please.

Thank you for your reply Emmanuel.

Sorry could not inform earlier, I tried at first with my amount of class XX profile newly created for all currencies. But he has not solved.

When I changed the default profile for all the currencies class. It is resolved.

  • Brushes in Illustrator - help please

I've posted about it before here http://forums.adobe.com/thread/789173

My question is the same and the suggested previously resolve did not work.
When I use a custom brush that appears now the brush that I selected in the dropdown in the brush settings pannle meun.
He continued to paint with the defult brush shape.

    Any ideas? Thanks in advance

    Hi Anya

    Thank you for the screenshot.

Maybe you're getting confused on the brushes and wide profiles.

In the screenshoot, you have a way with a brush + a width profile. Perhaps what you want is just the width profiles (like calligraphic and width profile does not together). If you have a calligraphic brush, that you can not see a width profile applied.

    Follow these steps:

Select this line (this way) and turn off the brush (turn off the field where you see the oval 2pt screnshot).

You will reject the brush and working with profile width is chosen.

Let me know if it solves your problem.

    Best regards

    Gustavo.
