Profile of mgmt?

Most people find windows profiles with sufficiently directed re roaming profiles or a 3rd party product should be studied?

I was looking for some suggestions, experiences etc - this is a 4.5 with 200 workstations Win7 view deployment, especially no persistent.

Floating pool, in most cases there is no need to manage a profile.

You can use the mandatory profile and refresh the desktop every time.

Data can go on sharing network and home directory (if necessary).

With pools of criterion, you can use the redirection of profile you on a dedicated disk, or use 3rd party tool or use the profiles in the right way mobile files redirect (+ files offline if you plan to use desktop also in local mode).

The big problem in roaming profile is the speed of the network (and on the virtual desktop, this has been fixed) and the size of profile (which must be quite 'small'.

Using the folder redirection, you can find a simply way to have profiles of 'light '.

Finally, you can use GPOS to manage also the configuration and parameters of profiles and users (or other tools).

  • Issue of campus Solution 9.0: Table prompt Application Center cannot come data

    People,

Hello. I implement Solution Campus with PeopleTools 8,53 9.0 for a University. At the moment, I put implement student recruitment and admissions Module. I made this as the 3 steps below:

Step 1: Configure AWAR > Products > recruitment and Admissions. I've implemented all the data in this part.

Step 2: Student recruitment. This part is not really necessary to do so.

Step 3: Student admissions > lettering > Add Application

The component is 5 pages. In page 4 "Application Data", table prompt Application Center cannot come from the data. Unable to save all the data of the component.

I found that the problem is that the quick table PS_ADM_APPLCTR_SVW is a view involving 3 tables as below:

    PS_ADM_APPLCTR_TBL

    PS_ACAD_CAR_TBL

    PS_SCRTY_APPL_CTR

I type in the Application Center data in Set Up > AWAR > related products > recruitment and Admission > candidates > Application Center of Table, the data is correctly saved in the PS_ADM_APPLCTR_TBL table and returned to the browser correctly.

The table PS_ACAD_CAR_TBL returns data successfully.

The problem is that the table of PS_SCRTY_APPL_CTR returns no data. This table is the SCRTY_APPL_CENTER component. GBL about the Application Security Center. It seems that we need a process for security.

I checked the value Up AWAR > Security > Secure Student Administration > processes that are below:

    -Update of view security

    -Update security - Acad Orgs

    -User management profiles

    -Profiles user Mgmt - clean

    -Access to demographic data

    -Safe use mass replacement

I don't see any process runs about the Application Security Center.

My question is: can all folk fix "Application Center table quickly propose no data" in "student admissions > lettering > Add Application"-page of Application data?

    Thanks in advance.

    People,

Hello. The problem is solved by myself. Table prompt Application Center now come from the data. Thank you.

  • Impossible to apply an ICC profile to display. can not understand instructions for color management

I just upgraded again own computer with Windows7 from my old XP machine.  I have icc profiles for my two monitors.  Under XP, I had nothing wrong with 'apply' or 'associate' or 'use' of these profiles by using the MS color, and both monitors would change appearance when starting a State fully calibrated and profiled.

Now, in Win7, I followed fairly confusing instructions, go to the color management / devices / select one of the screens / click "use my settings for this device" / add a profile box "Profiles associated with this device" using the add"" button.  Then I click on the correct profile in this box and click "Set as default profile".  Nothing happens.  I can put any weird profile as a default, and nothing happens.

I don't even know instructions during the effective application of this profile is supposed to happen, but guess it is when you click on "set as default profile."

"It may be a clue that the color management dialog box fails to identify my poster other than in the form ' generic PnP monitor - NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT" while the control panel NVIDIA and Windows 'Screen Resolution' box both manage to identify the poster correctly and use their own name i, e, Eizo L768 and Samsung SyncMaster.

In addition, 'Identify display' in the dialogue box CM works exactly the opposite of how it works in the other two boxes that is Samsung (left) is number 1 in color Mgmt, but number 2 in the control panel Nvidia and Windows 'Screen Resolution' box.

I'm stuck until I can address this issue, so would be very grateful for any help.

    Thank you

Thanks the geek for your help.  No thank you somehow to anyone from Microsoft.  None of this reflects well on Microsoft; No to the current Windows 7 CM interface design, not the fact that after years of complaints and messing around with color management that they could have finally gotten the mechanics in place, but still cannot explain, or make it possible for mortals to use it, and certainly not the fact that they create these monsters and offer no support to any well-founded None.  Not a response to a MS person here, not a good answer to similar questions scattered throughout the Web, no after sales support during any period after the purchase of a new operating system of MS qualified (it's supposed to be provided by the OEM, but of course, none of them knows this kind of thing, how can you keep waiting if Microsoft don't?).  So - NO support.

I can't believe I fell for the hype and purchased a new Windows System.  I swear to you that this is my LAST purchase of windows.  Microsoft, despite the amazing improvements in Win7, still do not understand.

Here's the answer to my problem, thanks to some photographers and no thanks to Microsoft...

1 ASSOCIATE YOUR PROFILES WITH DISPLAY AND SET as a DEFAULT value

To apply an existing ICC profile (ICM file created by any process of calibration), follow these steps.

Control panel / display / change display settings / advanced settings / color management / color (new!)  / Devices / select one of your displays * 1 / click "use my settings for this device" * 2 / if necessary adds profile applicable to the area of "Profiles associated with this device" using the "Add" button (if your profile is not already listed but is available somewhere on the network or the computer) / click on the correct profile in this box and click "set as default profile."

    * 1 the dialog boxes CM do not label your displays just like the other dialog boxes, they seem to lose the manufacturer and the model number information that is available elsewhere, so your display ABC model nn appears as display: 1. Generic PnP monitor .  Also note that at least on my system, display "1" was in fact display '2' in the other dialogs settings display and vice versa.

    * 2 that could think by selecting 'Use my settings for this device' would mean the Windows using your settings for this device (screen), but apparently it isn't.  That means... Well, I don't know what that means.  Perhaps it means that if you do select not her, even the next step (see below) will not help you.

Good work so far - unnecessarily complex - and tortuous, but has a certain logic.  Unfortunately it is not nothing at all, until you train the secret key.  Well it seems that the above should do what you want, you need to do something that is quite obvious and not mentioned at all in the General discussion of the help and apparently not known by the 67 people who have read my question.  In fact, it is listed in the section to help Ms... at the bottom of the "Description of the color management settings" and after a largely incomprehensible mass of things that appear not to be relevant, there is a link that is not listed in the content at the top and almost impossible to see... To enable or disable calibration loading Windows

2 ACTIVATE THE CALIBRATION BY WINDOWS LOADING

Here's the little hidden from the help file...

    1. To enable or disable calibration loading of Windows, you must be logged in with an account of a user with administrator privileges.

    2. Click to open color management.

    3. Click the Advanced tab, and then click change system default values.

    4. Click on the Advanced tab in the color - default system, dialog management, and do one of the following:

      • To allow Windows to load and display calibrations, check the box use Windows display calibration.

      • To prevent Windows from loading screen calibration, clear use Windows display calibration check box.

    5. Click Close in the color management - default settings dialog box of the system.

    6. Click Close in the color management dialog box.

Not only it obscure, it confounds even by the fact that you are in the same dialog twice, but the second time is the reference color - default system management instead of the color management as it was the first two times.   But only on the second time is the required box enabled to allow you to check or do a system wide setting.  Easy to miss.

Experts of either MS doesn't know about it and can not find in the help files or the other, or that they couldn't be bothered to answer my question.  In any case a) I hope this helps someone else, and b) I hope that Mrs. lift their game to support and actually meets the future to frustrated and powerless people that I was.  Thanks Microsoft for losing a day of my life.

  • DMVPN + isakmp profile + CA

I'm trying to use a "isakmp profile" with a DMVPN configuration so that we can have accounting RADIUS (which I think should be done with an isakmp profile). I can operate using pre-shared keys, but I can't make it work using certificates that I need.

Spoke it seems to be fine (it goes to IKE_P1_COMPLETE and I see no problem in debugging). It is only at the hub where the isakmp profile is set up where we have "% CRYPTO-6-IKMP_MODE_FAILURE: fast mode processing failed with the peer to 5.0.0.20.

Both devices are definitively authenticated and registered with the certification authority.

I have attached what, in my view, are the relevant config of the hub and speaks and debugging of the hub (edited to remove identifying information).

    Any help appreciated,

    Ray

Looks like your routers are unable to find a profile matching not ISAKMP to match peer. You could try to create a certificate mapping which refers to the OU of the cert to indicate to what IKE profile to use the router. You can do this by using one of the following ways:

    1. create a certificate mapping by using the command "map of crypto pki certificate. In this command, specify a corresponding setting on (such as "name of the object OU = mgmt co"). Then, according to your profile of IKE, 'match certificate.'

    2. According to your profile of IKE, simply change the command "match identity address 0.0.0.0" for "corresponds to the identity Mgmt Group."

Either way, I think that will solve your problem. In addition, it is not in your config file, but you can also change your 'ca trustpoint' config to specify that the keys are for the use of IKE only ("use ike") and which touches the pair to use ("rsakeypair").

  • What is the maximum number of profiles remote/local allowed on windows 7 enterprise?

I have a 1000 3000 operators workstations environment to work around the clock (24 x 7) on 4 different sites. Usually, 3 operators will be assigned to a particular workstation, which will work on this subject in their respective work. However, sometimes due to defective machine or change the shift schedule, some operators will have to be reassigned. other scenarios, such as the permanent change of location of alternative sites is also possible.

I would like to know if there is an upper limit on the windows profiles on the workstation, or it is limited only by hard drive space, so that I can plan for the operation of the administration required e.g. profile Mgmt.

  • Remove the ' system VLAN "Nexus 1000V port-profile

We have a Dell M1000e blade chassis with a number of Server Blade M605 ESXi 5.0 using the Nexus 1000V for networking.  We use 10 G Ethernet fabric B and C, for a total of 4 10 cards per server.  We do not use the NIC 1 G on A fabric.  We currently use a NIC of B and C fabrics for the traffic of the virtual machine and the other card NETWORK in each fabric for traffic management/vMotion/iSCSI VM.  We currently use iSCSI EqualLogic PS6010 arrays and have two configuration of port-groups with iSCSI connections (a physical NIC vmnic3 and a vmnic5 of NIC physical).

We have added a unified EMC VNX 5300 table at our facility and we have configured three VLANs extra on our network - two for iSCSI and other for NFS configuration.  We've added added vEthernet port-profiles for the VLAN of new three, but when we added the new vmk # ports on some of the ESXi servers, they couldn't ping anything.   We got a deal of TAC with Cisco and it was determined that only a single port group with iSCSI connections can be bound to a physical uplink both.

We decided that we would temporarily add the VLAN again to the list of VLANS allowed on the ports of trunk of physical switch currently only used for the traffic of the VM. We need to delete the new VLAN port ethernet-profile current but facing a problem.

The Nexus 1000V current profile port that must be changed is:

The DenverMgmtSanUplinks type ethernet port profile

    VMware-port group

    switchport mode trunk

switchport trunk allowed vlan 2308-2306, 2311-2315

We must remove the list ' system vlan "vlan 2313-2315 in order to remove them from the list" trunk switchport allowed vlan.

However, when we try to do, we get an error about the port-profile is currently in use:

    vsm21a # conf t

Enter configuration commands, one per line.  End with CNTL/Z.

vsm21a (config) #-port ethernet type DenverMgmtSanUplinks profile

By example, if we look at the port-channel 2 more in detail, we see orphans 3 VEM-related sound and it has no ports associated with it:

    Switchport monitor is off

Members in this channel: Eth3/4, Eth3/6

Final cleaning of "show interface" counters never

    102 interface resets

We can probably remove the port-channel 2, but assumed that the error message on the port-profile in use is cascading on the other channel ports.  We can delete the other port-channel 4,6,8,10 orphans and 12 as they are associated with the orphan VEM, but we expect wil then also get errors on the channels of port 13,15,17,19,21 and 23 who are associated with the MEC assets.

We are looking to see if there is an easy way to fix this on the MSM, or if we need to break one of the rising physical on each server, connect to a vSS or vDS and migrate all off us so the Nexus 1000V vmkernel ports can clean number VLAN.

You will not be able to remove the VLAN from the system until nothing by using this port-profile. We are very protective of any vlan that is designated on the system command line vlan.

You must clean the canals of old port and the old MEC. You can safely do 'no port-channel int' and "no vem" on devices which are no longer used.

What you can do is to create a new port to link rising profile with the settings you want. Then invert the interfaces in the new port-profile. It is generally easier to create a new one then to attempt to clean and the old port-profile with control panel vlan.

I would like to make the following steps.

Create a new port-profile with the settings you want to

Put the host in if possible maintenance mode

Pick a network of former N1Kv eth port-profile card

Add the network adapter in the new N1Kv eth port-profile

Pull on the second NIC on the old port-profile of eth

Add the second network card in the new port-profile

You will get some duplicated packages, error messages, but it should work.

The other option is to remove the N1Kv host and add it by using the new profile port eth.

Another option is to leave it. Unless it's really bother you no VMs will be able to use these ports-profile unless you create a port veth profile on this VLAN.

  • How to export the list of devices in the Profile Manager?

    Hello

is there a way to export the list of devices in the Profile Manager on a mini mac running OS Server 5.3?

    Thank you

How to export data from device in the Profile Manager

How to export a list of devices and their info?

  • Remove device management profile?

    Hello

My friend has an iphone 6 and it hes a company certificate (Swisscom). 1 minute after activation almost all applications disappear, and you can only make calls and take pictures.

Is there a way to remove this kind of profiles?

Nope. It is the purpose of the profile.
DEP he made sure that the iDevices purchased by the company is recorded in the DEP always apply the strategy of the company via a profile (using an MDM server) when you set up.

The only way to change the restrictions is to ask administrators to the Swisscom MDM server - they can modify and manage anything remotely. I'm not familiar with Mobileiron (MDM server provider) - perhaps that he may try you on https://mds01.swisscom.ch/login.html with his credentials of the company? But the chances of him being able to manage the device in this way are very thin.

My condolences to the Swisscom employees if this madness is standard. There is certainly no need to cripple a phone in this way, unless you work for an agency of 3 letters or something.

  • Some keys stop working after the update of the Sierra (only for a specific profile)

After update to Sierra my keyboard worked well for a while.  But at random, U I O P J K L keys stopped working.

The bug only shows 1 profile. If I create another profile new profile keyboard works very well.

Anyone know what that sometimes caused that and with the fix is?

    Hello ExcelsiorPath,

After reviewing your post, it seems that several keys do not work on a single profile. This looks like an option that may have been changed.  I recommend you to read this article, it may be able to help solve the problem.

If the other keys do not work

You may have accidentally set an option that changes your keyboard works.

    • Choose the Apple menu > System Preferences, click Accessibility, and then click keyboard. Make sure that slow keys is turned off. If slow keys is enabled, you will need to keep a key longer than usually before it is recognized.

    • Choose the Apple menu > System Preferences, click Accessibility, and then click mouse and Trackpad. Make sure that the mouse keys is turned off. If the mouse keys is enabled, pressing the keys in the numeric keypad moves the pointer instead of entering the numbers.

    • Choose the Apple menu > System Preferences, click keyboard, and then click input methods. Select "Show the menu in the menu bar." Open the menu entry, then make sure that the correct keyboard layout is selected.

To display the keyboard layout, click keyboard, and then choose "See the viewers for emoji keyboard symbols in the menu bar."

  • I've just backed up with an external hard drive for the first time, but my profile with my folders for photos, documents, and movies are not there

    Hello

So, I finally got an external hard drive. I formatted for Mac (the device has been verified as being correct), and then he started to do a backup, which stated that a full backup would take 95GB. However, it only supported 19GB.  When I have my 'open' backup drive, I saw that only 'Macintosh HD' received support upward, not my user profile with all my folders containing documents, photos, movies, etc...

I'm quite confused, because I thought that it would save.  I plan on Snow Leopard update to El Capitan, but if something is wrong or I don't like, I'm afraid that I won't be able to restore all my personal files - but only the applications that are on my Macintosh HD.

Should I delete everything in my backup disk and try again?

This is an image of what's inside my external hard drive:

  • MacOS Sierra mobile profiles

    Hi all

I just upgraded my MacBook to Sierra. I used before mobile profiles. Now I don't get any sync on my Mac server more.

    What I found:

    https://support.Apple.com/en-GB/HT206871

That means usually only it not there isn´t is possible to store centralized user directories more? It looks like, but this means generally that is missing an important feature of the server.

Historically there are / were four types of user account.

    1. Only one local user account (stored locally not linked to a directory server)
    2. Login to network Home Directory (stored only on the server, connected to a directory server)
    3. Connection of portable home directory (both stored locally on a server and automatically synchronized, linked to a directory server)
    4. Mobile home connection directory (stored only locally synchronized, linked to a directory server)

As far as I can see only option 3 above now is no longer supported, the other three options are possible so option 2 would be to store it all centrally.

Note: Unfortunately, there are several major bugs in OS X.app affecting the telephone network. These bugs have been known for several years and all indications are that they are still not set in the Sierra and.app 5.2. It is still possible to use this configuration, but you can meet these bugs. Some of the worst aspects affect only using Apple Mail, Contacts and calendar. Other programs are much less affected by these problems.

PS. While Apple is no longer supply their own synchronization of directory under option 3, it is theoretically possible to create your own, for example by running a regular process of rsync between 'local' directory and a location on a server.

  • iPhone 6s recorded with someoneelse's media profile

    Hi all

I tried to find an answer to my questions, but could not find anything with the same details. Here is my case:

I bought an iPhone 6 a couple of days from an online retailer who buys and sells iPhones used companies in bulk. The iPhone itself is very good, it is not locked or anything either, but when I try to add it to my profile support, he refuses to do. Apparently one who used it had linked to their profile. The dealer cannot help me because they have no details on simple users of the devices they buy. I tried to check with services such as checkmend and others, if this phone has been reported stolen, but it seems obvious. (Checkmend not sure but how trustworthy is if).

Of course I have the relevant documents to the history that precedes the proof and the dealer seems correct to, it is properly registered in Germany, their eBay account has a couple of hundreds of positive reviews and Google also gives me everything "bad stories" to their subject.

Does anyone know if it is possible to Apple in charge of save this device to my support profile?

    Thanks for the help!

  • Photos of profile missing in Game Center.

9.3.5 on my iPad and all running for my friends profile pictures have restored initials. How to bring back the pictures?

I tried signing in and out of Game Center, toggle buttons in different configurations, do a reset on the iPad using the different configurations, also reset while the two signed in and while it is disconnected. I'm running out of options, I know what I can try?

the photos are missing also in hayday where important power they quickly identify the players. Please help me to recover my profile pictures in Game Center.

You can probably, at least not immediately. With iOS10 Game Center is still supported, but on these devices running iOS 10 the Game Center app is gone, as is the ability to see the list of his friend. That may be where the photos have disappeared.

The ability to add friends is now at each game developer and since none of my games were updated, I don't know how they manage, but with no general "here is your friends' interface, which seems to be where the photos went to. (I can't yet see or manage all my friends now the only option in the settings to remove everyone, you do not want to do because, currently, there is no way to add them.

Now "wait and see" seems to be the best option. See what shakes with individual game developers
