• Help! Skype won't connect!

  A couple of weeks ago, I started having a problem from Skype on my computer. Version 6.16, whenever I try to run Skype, the login screen flashes for a split second, but leaving the State of Skype light in the system tray (win7 he calls the "notification area") at the bottom of the screen.   my Skype is not load either, just refer to my Xbox. It was working fine last night, I used it until a little after 03:00 I also have Skype on my Tablet and it works very well, so there must be a problem with the xbox version... any suggestions?

  Hey there guys! I just wanted you to know that I'm having the same problem and am waiting for a fix. I've messed around with different things to try to find a solution that has worked for me so far. I cracked Skype on my shot and it connected successfully and I was in a call successfully for some time now. I hope this helps!

• Skype won't ring on incoming calls

  Under "Audio Settings" I put "Ringing" for my PC as well as a USB speaker speakers.

  Under "Sounds" when I click on "Play this sound" for a ringtone he works and plays by the selected "ringtone speaker."

  Tools-> Options-> Notification settings. "Enable Skype for Windows desktop notifications" checkbox is unchecked.

  Hello all, I have several problems on my Skype. I use Skype on Windows 8. I had these problems once or twice and I fixed it usually simply by deleting the program and it redownloading. I had the question once again and I'm not for most everything to remedy, but nothing works. The issue or the problem im having is pretty simple, I can't CALL, MESSAGE, or the STATE of MY CHANGE. Whenever I message someone something it simply never sends and the loading thing keeps circuling around and around and never sends. When I send a picture tell the truth, it is 'impossible to download/send. When I try call call never rings and just stays there forever and I can't put end. usually, I have to restart my Skype out. The latest issue is change my status. Usually, when I change my status the program does nothing. Basically, those are my questions for my Skype. I've seen other people having the same issue. Some people helping gave them some tips. I followed the steps to solve the problem. I tried first by la - press the key Windows and R and type in %AppData%. He said renaming the folder Skype 'Old_Skype '. I did, but unfortunately another problem occurred. HE says that you cannot rename this file is open in another program/place I do not know where because I already closed my Skype and quit out of it. The second thing I did was-press the Windows key and press R and type in % temp%/skype. Then I had to remove a folder called 'DbTemp '. The same problem still product - you cannot delete this file because the file is open in another program/place. I decided to rethink and to get the new Skype for windows. The initial problem was still there. I can't call or message or change my status on one of my Skype (Skype Desktop and Skype) modern Windows. I gave a thought and said if it was my computer. I denied that thought because my internet browser and the regular PC games still worked and operated very well. So I said what happens if it is just my Skype profile itself? I also countered this thought by the fact that I was still able to use Skype on my mobile phone. THIS ISSSUE IS REALLY A PAIN KILLER. I USE SKYPE TO COMMUNICATE WITH FRIENDS AND I CAN'T CONVINCE HIM TO USE ANOTHER PROGRAM INSTEAD OF SKYPE.   Is your login on Skype online status? The status icon next to your name should be green with a white check mark inside.

• Had to reinstall Windows and now Skype won't let me open a session.

  So the SSD, I had 10 installed windows on seems to be dead (the PC crashed and then wouldn't start on the correct hard drive. The hard drive also would not put in evidence in the BIOS any SATA port I used), then I reinstalled since on a backup drive (after cleaning it of course). Everything else works fine, 0 connection problems, got all my main programs installed and works again. But it seems that no matter what I try, the Skype app won't let me log on.

  This is the latest version, and I'm running IE11. I tried to reinstall, turn off the firewall, remove the file "shared.xml", removal of temporary internet files on IE... None of this fixed it. I also tried to create a new account from microsoft and it still wouldn't let me connect.

  Other ideas are appreciated.

  Thanks for your reply, but it turns out that all I had to do was to reset my router. I feel so stupid, it's usually one of the first things I do when troubleshooting connection problems - it just crossed your mind for any reason any. There was no error in any case, he just said that he does not recognize the sign in details, as it would if you enter wrong password.

  Creating a shortcut on Skype (C:\Program Files (x 86) \Skype\Phone)

  The right click on properties, then adding /legacylogin at the end of the target section
