Sleep ++

Last night, sleep ++ was still on my watch and worked. I just noticed that it has disappeared from my watch. The app is still there on my iphone but when I look in the app shows sleep ++ app no longer. Any ideas?

The following steps may help:

  • Update sleep ++ on your iPhone with the latest version (via App Store > updates), which ensures compatibility with iOS 10 and watch OS 3.
  • If it is not already installed, add sleep ++ your watch again:
    • On your iPhone, in the application of the watch, go to: My Watch (tab) > scroll down and tap sleep ++ > turn on App Show on Apple Watch.

  • Automatic logoff on sleep? How?

I wonder if someone could help me please?

I need a way to verify that my browser (in this case Chrome) is closed when I put my Mac to sleep, or he sleeps auto.  Unfortunately, as you know, the default behavior is that applications remain open on sleep and the subsequent recovery.  This represents a significant vulnerability for me (for reasons,. I won't).

I have to make sure that Chrome stops when the machine is asleep.  Is it possible to automatically close all apps?  Maybe a script?  Or maybe a way to make sure that the machine automatically disconnects when he sleeps?

I would be grateful for any suggestion.

    Thank you

EDIT: Just think, another option could be a script that runs on the resume of his sleep, and the script logs off the user, who was closing all the apps?  A bit of a hack, but it could work.

I don't know if it is possible to trigger the script just before sleep (but not after)?

  • iMac restarts after sleep

Problems lately with my iMac 27 "5 K. After putting to sleep, it is restarts after about 2 hours.  If I wake up it before that date, it is usually very good. But after 2 hours, it restarts. Sometimes, I find it just be stopped. Most of the time when it restarts itself, it crashes with this gray bar filled about 80% progress.  I have reset the PRAM and EMS, checked all the settings in power management (not set to restart after power failure for example).

Another problem I 'bypassed' which may or may not be related (I'm including in case it is related) is that on El Capitan, my magic trackpad would randomly wake the iMac.  I had to disable the option to allow devices BT wake up the Mac. When I upgraded to Sierra, the iMac still wake up randomly due to an event of BT. After a lot of trial and error, activate the option "allow bluetooth to computer devices" back prevented the wake-ups at random and let me wake up the computer again deliberately with the trackpad.  Very strange.

In any case, I'm usually pretty ingenious to resolve this sort of thing myself, but the Console to Sierra news is terrible. Or maybe it's the system logs that are terrible, because I can't find anything about the causes of previous judgment that might provide a clue as to what is happening here.

So, any advice on how to solve the problem or at least to determine the causes of the previous stop would be greatly appreciated!

  • Cannot restart or refresh my iPhone 7 from the "home" button and the sleep/wake button at the same time

I'm having difficulty trying to restart and update my iPhone 7 using the Home button and the sleep/wake button at the same time, when I do my phone takes a screenshot of the home screen.

Should I turn off my Touch ID?

Basically my home button button and / standby works not together at the same time.

You need hold the House and turn off the button for 20 seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

  • MacBook air crashes after the release of sleep since the upgrade of the sierra

Began to notice that since I upgraded my macbook air 2015 to sierra, system crashes. The trigger is always when I wake the sleep system (whether it is by opening cover or press a key). Issue is intermittent and may not be reproduced every time. I contacted apple support and they recommended resetting the SMC (ctrl + shift + cmd) but that didn't help either. I also did a check of filesystem (fsck-fy) and which seems to be very well so.

I noticed others seem to be faced with similar problems and a common theme that I noticed was that both we seem to have an installed tardisk. Not sure if this could be a factor?

While it is not any loss of data, the question is certainly annoying and disruptive to work.

The same question was observed at about 7 times since the update of the sierra. Containing the report of Etrecheck to the breast

If you have Bluetooth enabled, turn it off before going to sleep the computer.

  • The menu bar clock freezes after recovery from sleep mode

After the upgrade to Sierra, I noticed that the clock in the menu bar (top right) show wrong time.  This occurs when the iMac comes out of his SLEEP.  When I hoover the pointer of the mouse on the clock, it would turn into a spinning ball (i.e. no response).  I have to disconnect and reconnect so that the clock in the menu bar to indicate the correct time.  She would continue to work until the next time that the iMac comes out of SLEEP.

    Anyone facing this problem?

Have you tried booting in safe mode (hold down the SHIFT key at startup)? The problem persists?

  • Sleep seems to work, but does not (iPad 2)

For years, my iPad 2 (9.3.5, 32 GB iOS) went right to sleep when I close the magnetic lid. (It's a Yoobao coverage.) Battery would not be overturned while he was sleeping, and everything was fine.

Now in the past couple of days, even if it seems to go to sleep when I close the lid (I say "seems" because I need to type my password when I re - open the cover, although the cover was closed only five seconds ago), yet the battery goes down. If I leave the night in this Pseudo-veille, the charge will go to zero.

Apparently not the battery is dying, because if I have the iPad completely turn off and leave it for a number of hours, there is no appreciable load loss.

Any ideas what I can do about it?

I'm not able to troubleshoot your iPad, but it is still possible to do some significant tests.

First of all, see Removing cover Yoobao made a difference. If this resolves things, there are some covers well recommended to replace your old.

Secondly, to consider whether the recent update of iOS could be the cause of your woes. If so, report the problem to Apple is recommended.

Finally and above all, to change the Autolock 'never' 10 min period ' (settings > general > auto-lock).

  • iPhone disconnect WiFi in case of sleep

My iPhone warning disconnect the wifi when sleep but will automatically reconnect after a few seconds, when I turn it back on. I don't know what happened, but it just started a few days ago.

If it's important, I'm in iOS beta and race 10.1

    Hey pontais,

Thanks for you using Apple support communities. I can see from your post that you are having problems with a Wi - Fi disconnection when your iPhone 6 is not in use while running iOS 10 beta. The public version of iOS 10 was released with the latest version being 10.0.2. To isolate and help solve this problem, we want to go forward and you updated to the release version with the procedure described in this link below:

    Any software beta iOS

Download the final version of iOS

If you have a beta version of iOS and you want to download the final version, follow these steps:

    1. Connect your device to iTunes.
    2. When your device is connected, force it to restart. Press and hold buttons sleep/wake and Home at the same time. Don't release when you see the Apple logo. Keep now until you see the Recovery Mode screen.
    3. When asked, choose updates to download and install the latest version of iOS nonbeta.
An update installation does not affect your settings or content.

Once you have downloaded the final version, monitor your Wi - Fi again and let us know if you experience the same problem.

    See you soon.

  • How to put my MacBook to sleep

I've recently upgraded to a new MacBook, a MacBook Air and have noticed that he's not going to sleep by pressing the power button. Why has this changed? and is there a way to change this? I know that closing the lid and to choose the apple logo and then select sleep will work but I like the the power button procedure.

He should go to sleep by pressing and releasing the button of power once. This does not work on mine, but the button must be held down for approx. 1 second. If I push and release too fast, nothing happens. Immobilized for 4 or 5 seconds makes up the dialog restart/sleep/cancel/Shut Down.

  • Sleep Mode support

It seems that my iPad, iPod is supported when it is connected to the iMAC. Are they the accused when the iMAC is in mode 'sleep'?

It is based on the USB port. Generally, when the computer sleeps, it cuts the power to the port. But in recent years, various manufacturers have put their ports to be always on--largely so they can be used to recharge a phone or other device.

You can check the specifications of your computer to see what he says, or one way is to use something that is visible, for example, I have a wired mouse with a light on it (the laser in the background light). With the help of some ports when the computer sleeps the light on the mouse turns off. On other ports, the light stays on.

  • Apple 4th Gen tv - "sleep" mode

With the last s/w update, my Apple TV is not in sleep mode when running applications. It worked well with the prerequisite s/w. The most notable are the runtime of Netflix and NF completed streaming. If I exit NF at the main menu, "sleep" mode works very well.

I contacted NF, and they said that this is not something they can control or effect.

Any suggestions on how to remedy this situation?

Works fine on my system. What is happening exactly?

  • Sleep at random after black background

If I restart the system, everything is fine... I get the silver on my Apple TV 4gen background. However, after that the system goes to sleep and then I wake up the background becomes black and although I can see my apps installed I can't go to the app list/dock and see one of them (for example: a double click on the TV button on the remote control). Again, if I restart the system it will well again (see screenshots). No idea why this is happening?

Try the following steps for the Apple TV 4, check if things work after each step if necessary, before you try the next.

    1. Restart the Apple TV (settings > system > restart).
    2. Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL cables for 30 seconds.
    3. Restart your router. (Also try to remove the power cord for at least 30 seconds)
    4. Reset Apple TV (settings > system > reset > reset all settings)
    5. Restore the Apple TV (settings > system > reset > restore)
  • Problem getting my WiFi connection after the mode 'sleep'

After my computer wakes from sleep mode, I click on my WiFi network every time to get on the internet.  If I restart my computer, it detects my WiFi network and connects ok.  It's just at the time when it wakes from sleep.  I tried many solutions that people have posted for example to remove some files from my SystemConfig., but have had no luck.

    Hi joycefromil,

I understand that your Mac has problems automatically re-login to a Wi - Fi saved after wake up from its sleep. I can understand the concern here; It seems that it would be a bit tedious to have to re - connect manually whenever you wake your Mac from sleep. I'm happy to help you with this problem.

As a first step, try to remove your Wi - Fi network in the preferred networks list and then add again using the steps here:

macOS Sierra: choose the preferred Wi - Fi networks

Try to test for the problem to see if it persists. If so, I recommend that you try to start your Mac in safe mode and test for the issue. Once you're done test in safe mode, restart your machine normally and try test again to see if the problem has been resolved.

If the problem persists in safe mode, try to create a test on your Mac user account to see if the problem is here. This will help to further isolate the issue. Take a look at this Web site for more information:

  • Sierra on iMac sleep restart OS

Select the day before leaving the iMac, or when sleep occurs when the value in energy saving; Sierra of OS - macOS 10.12 (A 16, 323), Darwin 16.0.0, system restarts on hitting escape to wake up.

    Hi SteveSJS,

I see that you are having problems with your Mac restarts once you press the ESC key to wake your Mac from sleep. I understand you want to your Mac to wake up from its sleep without problem. I'll be happy to help you.

The first thing I want you to do is a SMC reset, and then test the issue out by putting the Mac to sleep and wake it again.

Reset the management system (SCM) controller on your Mac.

If the problem is still there, please start Mac up in safe mode and then put your Mac to sleep and wake up then as you normally would. Check if the problem persists. So go ahead and restart your Mac to pick it up on your normal user account.

Try safe mode if your Mac does not end commissioning

Alternatively, you can test to see if this problem occurs in an another user account on your Mac. For more information on the implementation of a different user account, please see:

How to test a question in another account on your Mac.

  • Sierra crash when after the "sleep mode"

My MacBook Pro (13-inch, mid 2012) after update of the sierra accident when, after the "sleep mode".

I try to reset the SMC sama NVRAM but always crash.

    suggest to solve?

    Thank you

When you say 'crash', what do you mean?

Probably something that runs in the background. Open the black Apple at the top left. Select system, then users and groups and login items Preferences. All deleted in this window.

You can add applications and programs back to the points of connection with a window to see what is the origin of the crash.

You can also start the computer start-up (hold down the SHIFT key when you start) which will make the computer start with no 3rd party apps. If that solves the problems, just disable the third-party applications and add back one by one until the problem occurs again.
