Slow EM12c, accessing a thing

Enterprise Manager 12.1.0.5.0

Number of databases all the 11.2.0.4.0

I can access any page in the MS for all instances (performance, administration, etc.) except for the 1 page to 1 instance.   When I try to access Administration > planner of Oracle to see jobs for this particular database, the EM hangs for a long time, at least 10 + minutes, all the other instances will return this page in 1-2 seconds.

I can access all the associated Scheduler views this instance directly in sqlplus without any performance problem.  I see no performance problem with the database itself, theres only about 50 work there anyway.  Any ideas?    I tried EM reboot, did not resolve.  Nothing in the logs that I can find

I'll answer myself, executions higher sql shows the request coming from the MA in 11 minutes, something wrong with the way in which his mark, I'll solve it from there.  Nothing to see here, move along.

    Hello

    I use V14.0.1

    I had simliar problems both at home and at work while using Firefox. IE and chrome works very well in these two places.

    While I am at home, and not using any proxy, it worked after disbaling spdy i.e. network.http.spdy.enabled set to false.

    However, when I'm at work (by browsing through a proxy, Ironport in this case) and it does not work. I noticed that it is not only the keyword google search or google sites, but none of the https / ssl working site. He invites me repeatedly for authentication of the proxy, and even if I type my proxy username and password, it does not work.

    I have been with older versions of firefox for a while and have not had this kind of problem before.

    I "ve got a month several old X 505 870 with 4 GB of memory and TWO Hitachi 7200 RPM SATA II 500 GB hard drives." The system is mainly used for initial review of digital images, with each image being about 20 MB. To access the images to display previews is noticeably slow. YES, the system is set to the best of my abilities. YES, both drives were and are REGULARLY - defragmented show 0% fragmentation. YES, I threw the original o/s with all the trial versions, stupidity and boiled and installed W7 64-bit. YES, all the pilots I know are up-to-date, including the Intel storage drivers. NO, other than Side-By-Side periodicals errors that appear every day, I get application or system errors.

    In Bridge or Lightroom, I don't get bound to the CPU, but this thing beats a bit on the disks and takes MUCH longer than the desktop system to display pictures. YES, the office is a slightly faster processor, but it
    a also records standard 7200 RPM for images, and it is MUCH faster to retrieve and display images in Bridge or Lightroom...

  • Windows 8.1 ReadyNas with sync - when online very slow file access

    Hello

    I use the latest firmware 6.4.2 and network of NAS drives, I use with the Windows synchronizes 'offline' feature to make them. Operating system is Windows 8.1. I'm the only user with the 8.1 and only synchronize the network of NAS drives. Access the NAS online with the NAS is terribly slow, that sometimes it takes 2 minutes just to access a folder that is not on the first level of training, but at a lower level. I have no idea what kind of question it is. It occurs in two cases during the active sync, and also when I'm 'just' online in the network that is a gigabit ethernet.

I had thought that nothing of him at this time and thought it would work the next day. I was wrong. "I tried to access my control panel, but the same: Windows has stopped working ' warning had popped up, followed by the" Windows is now restart. " That's when I tried to get it working again. But in the Google search, you told me to look for something on my search for start and run as admin, and then type "sfc/scannow" into something and press ENTER. "." I hope there is another way, other than that, because this does not work for me. Then I did a reboot of the system, to two hours before, in what has been recommended because I didn't know how to change it. • virtual machine a very slow disk access

    Hello world

    I have 3 servers running as

    virtual machines (VMWARE Workstation 6.5).  One is a SBS 2003 Server

    and the other 2 are Win XP.  They are all around 250 GB each, with 1 GB

    RAM and they are on a host of Windows 2003 (32 bit).  MEM and CPU

    its use is quite low.

    3 all virtual machines are incredibly

    slow to copy the files to them.  Copying files to the host is without

    problem.  I tried to break it up into partitions of 2GB, and made

    nothing.  I know that on Linux hosts, there is an option to disable writing

    caching, which apprently helps, but I do not see this avaiable for

    Windows installs.

    No idea what I can try next?

    Thanks in advance,

    Theo

    You can disable the write cache by: computers, hard drives, properties, hardware, Device Manager, each drive, properties, political. Usually, the write caching speeds up things at the risk of corruption if it is not completed in writing if the machine breaks down.

    Make sure that your VM folders are NOT protected by AV of your host program. To test these things, you can turn it off.

    Disconnect the CD drive in the virtual computer.

    250 GB is a very large virtual machine, have they been defragged?

    If you run all 3 VM at the same time, it's 3 GB of memory, how the host there?

  • CS6 Adobe installation is very slow if access to the internet is blocked

    Hello

    I noticed that our facilities Adobe CS6 (using package AAMEE) were surprisingly slow (as in five hours on a fast machine).  I have worked for the cause of the problem and am posting here in hopes it helps someone else has the same problem - in addition, if someone from Adobe is reading this, it would be nice to get it fixed, at least for future versions. :-)

    The problem is that our machines have no direct access to the web sites on the internet, i.e., port 80 traffic is blocked by the external firewall.  I discovered that Installer CS6 tried repeatedly to contact various websites, including crl.verisign.net, probably in order to validate digital certificates on the files in the installation package.  Each such attempt was set to expire before the next was made.  Firewall Configuration Windows to block these attempts reduced at the time of the installation of five hours thirty minutes.

    On Windows 7, this command allows to install a firewall rule that blocks traffic outbound port 80:

    netsh advfirewall firewall add rule name = "block www" dir = action = block protocol = tcp remoteport = 80

    Once installation is complete, this command deletes the rule:

    netsh advfirewall firewall delete rule name = "block www.

    For later versions (Adobe CC and beyond) you should block port 443 as port 80.

  • Qosmio X 770-13 G - slow Internet access

    Hi all

    I just purchased a Qosmio X 770-13 G with Windows 7.
    WIRELESS data transfer is very slow, even using a high speed AP (tried on several locations) and after you disable the anti-virus program.

    Using the Config Free Watch 6Mbps program second download speed, but even to download a file 4 MB PDF takes several minutes.

    Update the software of the BIOS and the WLAN driver did not help.
    Does anyone have the same experience?

    one - minutes, but the problem persists - deletion of IP inspect and these

    command solves the problem.

    ANY ideas on how to fix?

    Sincerely,

    You inspect http traffic in particular? If Yes, I would like to remove this and just inspect other protocols and tcp and udp in general. Inspection of http is really useful if you want to stop the Java applets arrive, which to be honest, that almost person does. If you do not have something like this, remove the inspection of http as it slow down considerably.

    That said, 12.2 (8) T has had a lot of performance improvements put into it for the CBAC specifically, you can also try the upgrade than or later to see if it solves the problem also. See http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/software/ios122/122newft/122t/122t8/ftfirewl.htm

  • Why VMWare ESXi 5 slow down access to IBM M1015 / LSI 9240-8i RAID?

    I build servers for virtualization and wanted to go with VMWare ESXi 5. I configured RAID10 on 4 discs attached to the IBM M1015 internal RAID controller (similar to LSI 9240-8i) and installed ESXi without any problem. Only problem is that copying data to the data store (on the RAID array) on the host is slow - about 20 MB/s. And I get about the same speed when you try to copy data to a shared folder on the guest virtual machine. The host network is auto-négociée with switch 1000Mbit 1000Full and I used vmxnet3 vm card in the guest computer.

    When I install MS Hyper-V on the same exact server with the exact same table RAID10 I get around 110 MB/s speed to copy data to the Hyper-V host.

    I used the latest drivers available for each system:

    ESXi 5 - LSI_5_34-455140.zip\scsi-megaraid-sas-5.34-1vmw.500.0.0.406165.x86_64.vib

    Windows - 5.2.112

    I have even updated the firmware card 20.10.1 - 0077.

    This card is entry level but recommended on different places for ESXi. What I am doing wrong? Am I missing something?

    Thank you

    As I mentioned earlier, ESXi does not have caching at the level of the BONE, unlike HyperV.

  • Satellite L350D-213 - slow INTERNET access

    Hello

    I have a Satellite L350D-213 and recently had installed BT infinity. When I run a test of speed through several sites I get an average of 10 Mbps and yet when I use an ethernet cable I 38 Mbps.

    Is that what I can do to increase the speed of the wireless connection? Alternatively it is possible to update my card to use a Wireless N card?

    Thank you

    Hey,.

    What operating system you are using?

    You may need to disable management feature in Windows to energy WLAN power management. Have you already checked this?

    Alternative, you can try to update the WLAN driver. Portal Toshiba WLAN, you can always find more recent and pre-tested WLAN drivers from Toshiba:

  • Table external slow access of compiled PL/SQL, quick of SQLPLUS

    I'm under Oracle Standard Edition One 12.1.0.1.0 Windows x 64.  Small and simple external table queries since met PL/SQL are run very slowly with a second 18 delay, but the same sqlplus queries run very fast, both on the same instance.  I ran Profiler DBMS and debugged PL/SQL to confirm that it takes 18 seconds to query the file header record in an external table in PL/SQL, but the same exact sqlplus query runs in 0.07 seconds.

    This seems very odd.  I searched online and OTN, but I can find no example of why this would happen between the two access methods in the same instance.  Something is suspended until the execution of the external PL/SQL table compiled very hurt to be 18 seconds vs 0.07 seconds of sqlplus.  Before you buy the license Oracle I tried the table external access on trial Enterprise Edition on a laptop Windows x 64 where approaches both the PL/SQL and SQL executed just as fast (0.07 seconds in this case).  The main difference now is Standard Edition and Enterprise and production running on a Windows x 64 server.  I have no parallel enabled in the environment.

    The log file of external table displays this information message:

    KUP-05004: WARNING: disabled source Intra concurrency because select parallel is not sought.

    I think it's just because I'm not under parallel access on the external table.  The message is the same if the questioning of PL/SQL or sqlplus.

    It seems to be something coherent overall of all external PL/SQL tables in this case, because I studied 3 external tables and they all almost exactly 18 seconds later to PL/SQL vs sqlplus, even if number of rows of tables outside and requests files access to them are different.

    How can I know which slows down access PL/SQL method and correct to my production programs?  I created a test case and ran to share results:

    I create an external table of test:

    -Create table

    create the table TEMP_EXT

    (

    Field1 VARCHAR2 (10),

    VARCHAR2 (10) Field2.

    field3 VARCHAR2 (10)

    )

    external organization

    (

    type ORACLE_LOADER

    STRATESIS_DATA_DIR default directory

    access settings

    (

    RECORDS DELIMITED BY '\n '.

    BADFILE STRATESIS_LOG_DIR: 'temp.bad'

    STRATESIS_LOG_DIR LOG file: 'temp.log'

    NODISCARDFILE

    FIELDS TERMINATED BY ', '.

    SURROUNDED OF POSSIBLY "" "

    MISSING FIELD VALUES ARE NULL

    (Field1, Field2, field3)

    )

    location (STRATESIS_DATA_DIR: 'temp.txt')

    )

    reject the limit 0.

    I already have the directories above put in place in the database.

    I create a file temp.txt in the above data directory. It has two rows:

    Field1, Field2, field3

    2field1, 2field2, 2field3

    I create an autonomous PL/SQL procedure (not in a package, but I get the same result if I put it in a package):

    create or replace procedure tryplsql is

    l_field1 temp_ext.field1%TYPE;

    l_field2 temp_ext.field2%TYPE;

    l_field3 temp_ext.field3%TYPE;

    BEGIN

    SELECT field1, Field2, field3

    IN l_field1, l_field2, l_field3

    OF temp_ext

    WHERE field1 = "field1";

    Dbms_output.put_line(l_field1 ||) ',' || l_field2 | ',' || l_field3);

    end tryplsql;

    I run as a sqlplus pl/sql procedure:

    SQL > exec tryplsql

    Field1, Field2, field3

    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.

    Elapsed time: 00:00:17.68

    SQL > spool off;

    It takes almost 18 seconds?

    I performed the simple query of sqlplus and it's quick:

    SQL > select Field1, Field2, field3 from temp_ext where field1 = "field1";

    FIELD1 FIELD2 FIELD3

    ---------- ---------- ----------

    Field1 Field2 field3

    Elapsed time: 00:00:00.01

    SQL > spool off;

    Very fast 0.01 second.

    I run the following block of sqlplus:

    SQL > DECLARE

    l_field1 2 temp_ext.field1%TYPE;

    3 l_field2 temp_ext.field2%TYPE;

    4 l_field3 temp_ext.field3%TYPE;

    5

    6 BEGIN

    7 SELECT field1, Field2, field3

    8 l_field1, l_field2, l_field3

    9 FROM temp_ext

    10. WHERE field1 = "field1";

    11

    12 DBMS_OUTPUT.put_line(l_field1 ||) ',' || l_field2 | ',' || l_field3);

    13

    14 END;

    15.

    Field1, Field2, field3

    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed

    Elapsed time: 00:00:00.01

    SQL > spool off

    It is also very fast.  In SQL, and even a PL/SQL block sqlplus are fast, but a procedure have complied is slow?

    I have a lot of packages, procedures, functions, etc., running very fast in the DB as long as there are no external table access (no time 18 seconds).  I ran DBMS Profiler on several sections of code - in all cases, that the call to the external tables takes 18 seconds.  I tried to debug PL/SQL and again the request to the external tables takes 18 seconds every time.

    Probably something obvious I'm missing, but I am confused.  Any help is appreciated.

    Support of Oracle has identified the issue as a known bug in 12.1.0.1.   Bug #18824125

    The workaround until patched is drop the PL/SQL as sys (not a good option), or to grant any directory of the user who executes the PL/SQL will be launched.  It worked.

    For disk utility can't handle situations, the best third party is Disk Warriorutility;  Fixed DW only for problems with the disk directory, but most disk problems are caused by the corruption of directory; Warrior drive 4.x is now compatible with Intel Mac.

    Note: Alsoft ships DW on a bootable DVD that will boot Mac running Snow Leopard or earlier. He cannot start Mac that came with Lion or later preinstalled, however, DW will work on these models.

    Suggestions for OS X maintenance

    OS X performs certain maintenance functions that are supposed to take place on a daily, weekly, or monthly period. Maintenance scripts that are run at the beginning AM only if the computer is turned on 24/7 (no sleep). If this isn't the case, then a great solution is to download and install a shareware like Macaroni, JAW PseudoAnacronor Anacron utility that will automate the maintenance regardless of whether activity if the computer is off or asleep.  Dependence on third-party utilities to run periodic maintenance scripts has been significantly reduced since Tiger.  These utilities have little or no functionality with Snow Leopard or later version, and must not be installed.

    OS X automatically defrags files smaller than 20 MB in size, so unless you have a disk full of very large files it little need to defragment the hard drive.

    Under no circumstances should you install operating MacPaw or ZeoBit software (CleanMyMac/CleanMyDrive or Mac Keeper, respectively.) You don't need special software to keep your computer.

    Open Safari, select Preferences from the Safari menu. Click the Extensions icon in the toolbar. Disable all Extensions. If it stops your problem, then re-enable one by one until the problem returns. Now remove this extension as it is the origin of the problem.

    The following comes from user stevejobsfan0123. I made minor changes to adapt to this presentation.

    Difficulty a few pop ups browser that supported Safari

    Common pop - ups include a message saying that the Government has taken over your computer and you pay release (often called "Moneypak"), or a false message saying that your computer has been infected and you need to call a number of tech support (sometimes claiming to be Apple) to get it to be resolved. First of all, understand that these pop-ups are not caused by a virus and that your computer has not been assigned. This "hack" is limited to your web browser. Also understand that these messages are scams, so don't pay not money, call number, or provide personal information. This article will give an overview of the solution to remove the pop-up window.

    Quit Safari

    Usually, these pop-ups will not go by clicking 'OK' or 'Cancel '. In addition, several menus in the menu bar may become disabled and show in grey, including the option to leave Safari. You'll probably force quit Safari. To do this, press command + option + ESC, select Safari, press on force quit.

    Relaunch Safari

    If you restart Safari, the page will reopen. To avoid this, hold the "Shift" key when opening Safari. This will prevent windows since the last time that Safari was running since the reopening.

    It will not work in all cases. The SHIFT key must be maintained at the right time, and in some cases, even if done correctly, the window is displayed again. In these circumstances, after force quit Safari, turn off Wi - Fi or disconnect Ethernet, depending on how you connect to the Internet. Then restart Safari normally. He'll try to reload the malicious Web page, but without a connection, it will not be able to. Leave this page by entering a different URL, i.e. www.apple.com and try to load it. Now you can reconnect to the Internet and the page that you entered is displayed rather than the malicious.

    If you need antivirus protection Thomas Reed recommends to use ClamXAV. (Thanks to Thomas Reed to this recommendation.)

    The user Joe Bailey comes this equally useful advice:

    The facts are:

    1. There is no anti-malware software can detect 100% of malware out there.

    2. There is no anti-malware that can detect all targeting the Mac.

    3. the best way to prevent breaches the most is for you as the user is aware that

    the most successful malware attacks rely on sophisticated social engineering

    techniques preying on human greed, * and fear.

    4 Internet pop-up windows telling the FBI, NSA, Microsoft, your ISP has detected malware on

    your computer is designed to trick you into installing their malware thinking it's a

    protection against malware.

    5. some of the anti-malware market products are worse than malware

    go where they are supposed to protect you.

    6. be careful where you go on the internet.

    7. don't download anything from sites, you know are safe.

    8 avoid links that you receive in email, always be wary, even if you get something

    you think a friend is, but that you did not expect.

    9. If there is any question in your mind, then assume that it is malware.

    Troubleshooting Applications

    I recommend that you download a utility such as TinkerTool System, OnyX, Mavericks Cache Cleaneror hiding a Cocktail that you can use to delete the former newspapers and archives, cleaning, etc. Corrupted cache, logs or temporary files can slow down the application or OS X crashes and panics of the kernel.

    If you have leopard snow or leopard, then for similar repairs install Applejackfreeware utility.  If you do not start in OS X, you can boot into single-user mode , where you can run Applejack to make a set of routines for repair and maintenance of the command line.  Note that it takes 1.5 AppleJack for Leopard. AppleJack 1.6 is compatible with Snow Leopard. Applejack does not work with Lion and later versions.

    Basic backup

    For some people, Time Machine will be more than enough. Time Machine is part of Mac OS X. There are two components:

    1. a panel of Time Machine preferences as part of the system of preferences;

    2. a request for Time Machine, located in the Applications folder. It's

    used to manage backups and restore backups. Time Machine

    requires a backup drive that is at least twice the capacity of the

    drive being backed up.

    You can also get an external drive at least equal to the size hard disk internal and make (and maintain) a bootable clone/backup. You can make a bootable clone using the disk utility's restore option. You can also create and maintain clones with good backup software. My personal recommendations are (the order is not significant):

    1 Carbon Copy clone

    2. get backup

    3 already seen

    4 superDuper!

    5. Synk Pro

    6. Tri-Backup

    Visit The FAQ XLab and read the FAQ on the backup and restore.  Also read How to back up and restore your files. For using Time Machine, visit FAQ Time Machine of Pondini for help with all this time Machine.

    Additional tips

    Make sure you have a sufficient amount of RAM installed for the number of applications you run simultaneously. Make sure to leave a minimum of 10% of the capacity of the hard disk as free space.

    Add more RAM. If your computer less than 2 GB of RAM and you use OS X Leopard or later, then you can do it with more RAM. Snow Leopard and Lion works much better with 4 GB of RAM that is their system. Most concurrent applications, that you tend to use the more RAM you should have.

    Always have at least 15 GB, or 10% of the capacity of your hard disk as free space, the largest. OS X frequently accesses your hard disk, so offering enough free space will keep things slow down.

    Check for applications that may be hogging the CPU:

    Before Mavericks

    Open the activity monitor in the Utilities folder.  Select all processes in the drop process .  Click the % CPU column heading twice to display in descending order.  If find you a process that uses a large amount of time processor (> = 70,) then select the process, and then click the quit icon in the toolbar.  Click the force quit button to kill the process.  See if that helps.  Don't forget to mention the name of the runaway process, so you can find the cause of the problem.

    Mavericks and later versions

    Open the activity monitor in the Utilities folder.  Select all processes in the menu display .  Click the CPU tab in the toolbar.

    This problem occurs often because of a corrupted cache or the preferences file or an attempt to write in a corrupted log file.
