Slow internet browsing

Why is my computer slow while browsing and unable to watch video clips without interruption, on any site?

Uttam,

Slow computer / browser? Check here first; It may not be Malware

Uttam, there is the 'old' trick to open IE without any add-ons.

I believe you can find it in accessories (Start ==> Accessories ==> System Tools ==> IE (no add-on)).

If your performance is improving, then it is likely to be one of your add-ons that is causing the performance decline.

If IE then open normally, using "manage the add-on of ' to temporarily turn off each Add on, one at a time until performance improves."

If you get to this point, so it's your decision to permanently remove the annoying add-on.

I am experiencing VERY slow loading page when you browse the internet, regardless of if I use safari, firefox or chrome.  speed tests tell me that my download speed is very fast, but sometimes it takes 10-15 seconds to switch between pages.  don't ever some pages load.  When I download a large file, it goes fast.  In addition, this issue seems to be absent when I use other devices on the same network.

I suspect that something is wrong with my Mac Pro (mid 2010) with a 3.33 GHz 6 - core Intel xeon processor, 32 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 ECC memory, with more than 500 GB of storage free (except 2 TB).  I am now under OS X El Capitan 10.11.3 in recent weeks.

I know everyone says Mac don't you malware or virus, but I am not convinced that I picked something.

any thoughts on what I can do to find and fix, please?

    Thank you all!

  • Recent problem with very slow internet browsing on all browsers Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit

    Separated from this thread.

Hi all I'm having the same issues as Theresa in the thread above split. I have Vista Home Premium 32 bit service Pack 2 with all the installed updates (automatically done!).  Within 3 months, this PC at home that was formerly an excellent navigation device became very slow when you browse using IE, Firefox or Chrome. It takes 30 to 50 seconds to load any web page (Yahoo, eBay, etc.). I followed all the instructions suggested to Theresa in SafeMode by Bill Smithers. Resulted in nothing other than a few cookies and Wetherbug I killed. I also run McAfee total protection and Spybot S & D every 3 days with nothing found.

I have reset my browsers to the specifications of the factory without change.

Comcast is my internet provider high speed and my speedtest returns 65 - 75 MB/s download and 11 Mbit/s upload very regularly. I connect directly to the bridge. I had Comcast out and they swapped unity Arris of a unit of Cisco beefier but that changes nothing. Other devices on my network domestic perform very well and do not have this problem.

When I browse a site the CPU spikes up to 88% use in 45 seconds and is stable at 50% usage 1.7 GB memory.

The only thing I can infer is at this time that something happened to the operating system during automatic updates or some other setting has been changed.  I could use any help or suggestions you may have! Otherwise, I love this OS and have not had any problems. Thanks, Dhoffa

  • No matter what internet browser very slow/no work, but other applications such as online games online, torrent works fine.

    Hello world

I have a weird problem, my internet browser is very slow/unresponsive, but associated other online apps work perfectly. I tried chrome and internet explore. It is not the problem with the internet, I passage of Time warner to Comcast cable and both times the problem persists.

I play several games online, such as starcraft and steam games, and it works normally.

I'm running a windows vista 64-bit home premium with service pack 2.

    running an i5 processor

    and 2 Sata hard drives.

    Hello shinji_45,

The performance of Internet Explorer problems are usually caused by defective modules. I suggest that you run Internet Explorer in Mode Add on No and check if you have the same problem.

    To do this,

    a. Click Start, point to programs, point to Accessories, point to system tools.

    b. click Internet Explorer (No Add-ons).

    c. If this resolves the problem, follow these steps to isolate the browser add-on that is causing the problem:

    a. click Tools and then click Internet Options.

    b. click on the tab programs, then click on Manage Add-ons.

    c. click an add-on in the name list and then click on disable.

    d. Repeat step c until you identify the add-on that is causing the problem.

If this solves the problem, this could be caused by an adware installed as add-on.

If this still does not address the problem, reset the Internet Explorer settings. Reset the Internet Explorer settings.

To use the feature reset the settings of Internet Explorer in the Control Panel, follow these steps:

    a. Quit all programs, including Internet Explorer (if it is running).

    b. Click Start, type the following command in the start search box and press ENTER:

    Inetcpl.cpl

The Internet Options dialog box appears.

    c. click on the Advanced tab.

    d. Under Reset Internet Explorer settings, click Reset. Then click again on reset.

    e. when Internet Explorer finishes reset settings, click close in the reset Internet Explorer settings dialog.

    f. restart Internet Explorer.

Don't know what could really be the cause Chrome is slow. However, since browsers are slow, you should start solving this problem in the browser.

  • Second slow internet connection of the user

    Hello

I'm having a problem with the user accounts on my computer.
Recently, I decided to use the second user account I had, as my main so I made this account administrator. This is because the first main user that was admin had some problems with loading upward (would say that it was not loaded correctly, and after a search on this problem, I thought that this user has been altered) so after the second admin user, I moved all my files etc. However, although the second user account works fine, Internet connection takes awhile to load when I login to it and Internet browsing is much slower than the navigation, I experience on the other account.
I have not deleted the first user account (which now is not admin), but I'm not on it.
Someone could think of any reason why this could happen? This is because the former user still exists?  Or could it be something to do with the start-up on the second user programs?
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thank you

Internet Explorer settings can be defined by default very easily.
    Go to tools-> Internet Options
You will find different tabs as general, security, confidentiality, etc.
Visit the unique tabs and you will find Reset buttons or omissions.
