Original title: slow down the computer
Hello world
I am running a Win7 on an hp w1858 pavilion. My computer became very slow (startup takes a huge time and even my internet browser takes too long to load. I use Google Chrome btw)
I also have Norton Security Suite via Comcast which shows that my system is clean, so I don't really know what the problem is. I would be grateful :) all tips thank you
Yes svchost.exe is eating all your cpu about
Cause the most common was that the windows update system stuck
Please go to start and Panel and Windows updates
On the top left click on change settings update.
Switch to never look for updates,
After the above, restart your machine.
After reboot see if these updates are installed if not install it.

After that I downloaded El Capitan, I was satisfied with the content and the speed for about a week. I did a clean install... After 2 weeks of use, I bought the MS Office 2016 and I think after that, I noticed a significant decrease in performance. I mean, like one where I want to throw my computer out the window about 100 times a day. Takes me 30 minutes to start the computer and perform a simple task like the connection to an account on the internet and missing his shot something. 30 minutes! A task that should take 30 seconds.
I don't know where is the problem. I have a late 2008 Macbook Alu 2.4 GHz, 8 GB Ram, disk SSD (130 GB of free space) and the rest is the default value. Is there a solution, suggestion? Is it fair that my computer can't take El Capitan even with the plug I have, or are at - it something else?
Thank you that I advance for any help, I'm desperate with her...

Any suggestions what to try please.
See you soon
Steven.
Hi Steven,
It should not perform the function of the buttons on the capacitive Strip if you disable Task Scheduler fast player - however another option would be to put the service to start manually instead of automatically when Windows starts. To do this, first enable the service from the msconfig services tab, apply the change and then reboot the laptop.
When windows has completely recharged (it will probably slow again), open windows control panel, open administrative tools, and open Services. Find the Task Scheduler player quick entry, right click and select Properties. In the drop-down list next to Start up type, select manual, then click on apply then Ok to save the change. Restart the computer for the change to apply and see if the time it takes to get a usable desktop is always good - if this is the case, then I'd leave the QPTS function defined in the manual.

How can I stop firefox 13 takes too long to load pages
I used to regularly visit http://kol.coldfront.net/thekolwiki/index.php/Special:RecentChanges
I can't stand the ads, well, then I added all sites ad to etc/hosts pointing to localhost.
until recently, the pages loaded fine, the dns lookup has failed in a transparent manner.
I've just updated to firefox 13.
now, every time the page loads I get "connecting to pagead2.googlesyndication.com"for about 15 seconds.
Since everyone loses interest in a page after 10 seconds, what makes visit to this site a bit frustrating.
any ideas how I can change this back to the pre-13 behavior?
maybe try to use adblock more instead of the host file - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/adblock-plus

Firefox 6 browser takes too long to load. Can anyone help?
I run Windows Vista with Norton 360. All software is legal and properly updated. I clean the cache, registry, etc. regularly and defragment on a regular basis. Many sites Web also charge much more slowly than before. Should I remove some of the plugins?
Just for comparison, create a new profile as a test to see if your profile is the source of the problems.
-> Basic troubleshooting: a new profile
-> If this new profile works, then you can retrieve your bookmarks and passwords the old profile.
-> Recovering important data from an old profile
Check and tell if its working.

It's frustrating for me, I tried the cleaning Cloud Creative tool and I uninstalled previous versions of adobe products, and I tried to rename the dll located in the user temp files or completely remove the OOBE folder! I've done everything I can. but still it is not letting me connect to download my last AE and PS apps! Computer is very slow and crashes off is not Windows 7 correctly.
Yesterday, my computer froze to the point of pull me the plug on my laptop. After him have enabled again, I noticed that my computer became very slow. The warning of error IO error can be caused by a defective hardware:
Windows Windows (5352): an application to write to the file "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Search\Data\Applications\Windows\Windows.edb" at offset 70025216 (0x00000000042c8000) to 32768 bytes (0 x 00008000) succeeded, but took an abnormally long time (91 seconds) is served by the operating system. I would check with the manufacturer of your computer to see if there is diagnostic tests that can be run on your hardware.
I also see that Steam.exe is not release handles to your user profile, then I would say you uninstall Steam and reinstall. Event id 1530 is just stating they were unloading the application, steam.exe. This type of errors can cause your user profile is damaged.
Let us know if that helps.

My computer is very slow to download programs, especially at the start. I tried to reduce the programs start, but in vain. Also when I try to watch a video clip, it takes forever to load, and then when he does, she plays in 2-3 seconds intervals. Help
Hi LouisBode,
1 Windows operating system you are using?
2 did you a recent software or hardware changes to the system?
3. What is the brand and model of the computer?
4. what program you use to play the videos?
5. this happens with all the videos that you try to play?
Method 1:
If you are using Windows 7, you can run the troubleshooter of performance and check if it helps.
Open the troubleshooter of Performance
If you use Windows Vista, then try to run the Fixit from the link:

Most of the time, you can use the Task Manager to see which programs are hogging resources. Make sure you click on tab the process, and then on the small button at the bottom left that says something like "show processes from all users".
In addition, switch to view... Select the columns entry and select other readings/o and i/o
You can sort the columns by clicking on the title - this way, you can control what is spking during closing. Get the name of the process that is spking and we can start watching them. Also, try the clean boot here procedure to solve problems: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135

my 27 Imac late 2009 became very slow
My 27 Imac late 2009 became very slow - I think especially after I've upgraded to El Capitan. Otherwise, everything in the computer works perfectly and I m using only 200 I have the 1 TB. Onyx and other tests can't find anything wrong. I mainly use my computer for word documents and to manage his photos about 30 000. The internal memory is 2 x 2 GB. Does anyone have any suggestions of what I could do to speed it up? Thank you.
I wish I had an answer, but all I can do is rather echo to your problem. I have a 19 mid-2007 "iMac, contributed to the maximum with the RAM, 1 t disc hard less that half full, who did the same thing - he has worked with El Capitan until I updated to the latest version. Once that has happened the machine became so slow as to be unusable. It would take ten or twelve minutes to record a mouse click. When I restarted the machine, it took 32 HOURS to start (Fortunately it isn't my main Mac production).
Last week, I tried all the remedies of common sense - by removing unused software, keeping an eye on the activity monitor (there is nothing fancy here), etc. Finally, I did all the stuff start, PRAM, run utilities disk (no noted problem) and even tried to reinstall El Capitan to a bootable USB I did with my first Mac, the reinstall, but seemed not 'take' somehow - he wanted to repeat the installation procedure again and again.
I use the little Mac for Internet, e-mail and (as Karlis2) deal with some of the oldest pictures in my files - I'm sure that I have pictures on Time Machine, so I'm not too worried about it, but this was the first Mac way back in the day, I bought with my money and I'm a little sentimental on and would like to resurrect if possible... I wonder if there is a way to restore the operating system to an earlier version and it would make a difference?

Vista and Windows 7 updated drivers love then here's how update the most important.
This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:
This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:
-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system.
For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,
Description, version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.htmlFor drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update
Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have. Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
each installation.Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
necessary.Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
manually by model.Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

Updates, that leaves about Windows updates but it will not install the drivers that will be generally
older and cause problems. If updates offers a new driver and then HIDE it (right click on it), then
