Very slow performance with Windows 7 on i7 Quad I bought my wife a Lenovo E530 i7 quad with screen 1600 x 900 and running Win 7 in September 2012. Previously, she had an Asus Core 2 Duo also with Win 7. The laptop is used to picture (scanning, editing, cataloging) work, family, the navigation and email history. The E530 was desperately slow at the beginning. Not better, not faster than the Asus. Performance seems to vary from slow to excruciatingly slow.
