Slow WLAN on my satellite notebook

Hello

My wired desktop is fine, but when it connects to the internet over the wireless, my computer satellite phone is really slow! I've updated the WLAN drivers and it seemed to help, but I'm back to square one with the speed! Any help would be appreciated.

I had no problem like this before and the wireless internet has been slow for about a week now, but since the upgrade of drivers, it was Transiently faster. Do I have to update all the other drivers?
Thanks in advance.

Hello

Usually an other updates are not necessary. I recommend you first check the advanced settings in the WLan card properties.

You can access the properties in Device Manager-> network-> (right click, properties) WLan card controller.
The Advanced tab offers different options that could help to achieve better performance of WLan.

  • Question about RAM expansion on satellite notebook

    Hi all

I am currently looking to upgrade the ram on a satellite notebook. I looked everywhere and couldn't find what model it is, the model number is PSA-00300C8J if that helps.

Now I looked and you can see that the laptop has only 192 MB of ram installed, this seems quite strange to me, I always thought that he came from very specific amounts, 256, 512, etc..

So what I want to know is-

Should what kind of ram I buy?
Can I put 2 gig in there?
How many sticks should I buy?
What can I do with the old RAM?
How much should I look for to pay?

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thank you.

  • Slow WLAN connect to the router - Satellite Pro A200

I have a Satellite Pro A200 - after starting the laptop she used to find the router wireless in good time, but now it seems to have slowed on the right and it may take a few minutes until 1/2 hour phone to find the router!

This doesn't seem to be a signal problem because when the router is found that I get a signal strength full 5 bars. Connection to the laptop the router with a cable shows that no problem also that the connection and internet access is no problem.

I do not understand why the laptop won't find the router faster and you would appreciate the help in the understanding of the problem and how to resolve the situation.

I don't have a lot of technical knowledge so please keep in mind when replying

    Thank you

    Hi Potter (maybe Harry?)  ;)

You can easily find what WiFi card has been installed in your laptop.
More details can be found in the *-> network adapters Device Manager *.
Check this out and you'll know what driver WLan is required!

_Regarding the question with your BIOS; _
This error is known to me, always happens if you n t unpack the BIOS package correctly!

What you need is a WinRAR or WinZip program.
I prefer WinRAR and it helps to unpack all of the BIOS update.

  • Satellite Z830: Sometimes slow WLan

    Hello!

I have the problem that my wifi is sometimes very slow.
It takes 5 minutes to google something.

Home everything works fine but to (for example) in my college, I compared my wifi with laptops similar speed and they were more than two times faster than mine.

The bitrate is allgedly to 180 Mbps.

I use win7 and the driver is real.

    Can someone help me please?

    Thank you!

    > At home, everything works well

Does this mean that your noticed slow Wifi using the laptop connected to the other wireless LANs and only?

In my view, this would mean that it is not a card for laptop or wlan problem but the connection/configuration problem.

Have you noticed the slow Wifi performance using Notepad in battery mode or with an adapter connected?

  • Speed of the satellite - 12L - C850D slow WLAN and LAN

    Help please

I C850D - 12L running Windows 8.1 and as far as I know, have all drivers up to date according to PC world.

I am not receiving the correct speeds both hard and connectivity wireless. Should get 30 + bottom and 10 upward but getting 10 down and 5 up.

I did the usual stuff of BT and they are on the case - they say that my hub receives correct speeds and suggests that it is my drivers?

Another laptop received very good speed of my hub. HUB is the latest issue of BT

    Happy new year

    > I did used * BT stuff * and they are on the case - they say that my hub receives correct speeds and suggest it's my drivers?

I m really confused. You're talking about BT (I guess you mean Bluetooth), but this Toshiba laptop can't stand NOT BT's
The device is equipped with a Realtek RTL8188CE WLan card 802.11b/g/n and with LAN Fast Ethernet 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX card.

    But he can't stand BT

So could you please provide more details or could you clarify this misunderstanding

  • Slow down the WLAN with my Satellite P300

I bought a Toshiba Satellite P300 with Vista. I dislike Vista so instead, I installed Windows XP Home Edition.
The problem is that I have a very bad speed of my wireless network 1.15 Mbit/second, with specifications plus another, I have 10/15 Mbps.

This is a problem and I don't know how to fix it.
Would this card/wireless network in the computer?
After installation of xp, the computer does not find, I try a few things now an Atheros card is in the list.

    Hi krzysiekrk,

To be honest, your ad is a little hard to understand and I don t understand why you installed another wireless network card.
I think that the new WLAN draft N card is not compatible with your laptop so it boot doesn t. In addition, you can use project t N if you have only 2 antennas WLAN. N project requires 3 antennas.

Then ask a service provider authorized in your country if guys can order a new WLAN card compatible.

A few weeks ago, I replaced the card of wireless network from a notebook of s from a friend and it was Intel 3945ABG card too. This wireless network card is still available and it will be produced so it s not one end of product life.

    Hello

Seems that you tried to install the drivers bad for bad notebook series.
Satellite A100-813 belongs to the series of PSAA8E and the laptop was equipped with Wireless 3945ABG Intel and Intel Pro/100 LAN card network card.

If both are of the Intel chips.
Check the Toshiba pilot European page again and try reinstalling the drivers!

  • Can speeds of DVD - I play slower pre-recorded DVD - Satellite P20 801

I have a Satellite P20 801. I think to buy a DVD burner, so I can transfer VHS to DVD hardware. If I recorded it at a slower speed, would I be able to play on my laptop? How can I tell if the DVD on the P20 player can play different rhythms - assuming that's possible?

    Thank you.

    Hello

As far as I know that the recording speed is not relevant for play. You can save on the minimum or maximum speed DVD and the DVD can be played on your P20. My previous laptop was P20 and I never had no problem with this.

    Good bye

  • Is it possible to add the MiniPCI WLAN Module for Satellite Pro 4300?

    Hello

I got a 4300 Satellite Pro and I want to add a WLAN MiniPCI Module. Is this possible and is someone able to provide details where to add this module for example some technical documentation in images.

Robin is right about the upgrade. It is not possible. in my opinion the best solution for you is to use a PCMCIA WLAN card.

  • WLAN makes my Satellite A100 blow

I have been using Satellite A100 for 2 years and never a problem before. I run it on Windows XP pro 2002 SP2.

My WLAN drivers were Atheros. Last night, my cell phone was hang. When I rebooted it and now THAT WLAN will connect to the internet, it blocks my laptop, no key doesn't work, nothing. So I rebooted with WIFI off and reinstalled the other drivers that he used to hang my system. Now what happens is that I can turn on my WLAN only after that I waited for windows load on the system and then I put it and it works very well, if I restart my system with the map LAN switched on my system crashes after loading the operating system.

Please help me. What I can do. I live my life on the internet then can't think of living with it. Please suggest something.

    Hello

That s really strange boyfriend, but maybe you installed updates to Windows or something else and now the WLAN driver is not compatible.
I think you should update the WLAN driver and you can find the latest version on the Toshiba WLAN Portal: http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/wlan/

I hope it's useful for you.
