  I realize that it is illegal to use a part of the (OEM) software that was distributed with the renovated nw8440 Mobile Pro HP workstation (laptop HP Compaq small business) I bought (HP direct) on a different computer (that software provided with).
  
  My question concerns well hardware components (HDD, keyboard, memory modules, speakers, mouse, etc.) accompanying.
  Specifically, is it legal for me to use these hardware components on a different computer (that the software provided with), or even to sell it, give it, or Dispose (separately from the HP computer system it is come with)?
  
  The reason why I ask this is that among the license agreements supplied with the system says something like:

  • The initial user of the product can perform the unique transfer of the product to another end user. ... The transfer may not be an indirect transfer, such as a consignment.

  and I am his retirement that computer (Windows XP) and am not familiar with these license terms.
  
  I just started to use his hard drive in a desktop computer more old we which hard drive has failed.
  
  I think that should be OK license-wise, but it made me wonder what restrictions, if any, I might have on other future uses of this type of material.

  I have worked mainly in the system of security for several years now, but has been approached by my father to help with a project of home office he seeks to complete.  Currently, he runs a Web server of its headquarters which is connected to one of the ports on an old Linksys router.  It works also all the home devices (Smart TV, laptops, phones, etc.) through a port other than same router.  The goal of the project is to separate these two networks (home or office) of bandwidth and security purposes.  He attempted to contact his ISP for a second connection installed, but I guess that their policy allows a connection must be installed in a single House.
  My original idea was to implement secondary interfaces on external port that goes to the ISP but the current Linksys router is so old and only accessible via HTTP/HTTPS is not able to support the secondary interfaces or VLANS.  I expect some tips on the different options on the routers for individuals and small businesses that support interfaces and which would achieve the objective of this project.  I would prefer something that uses Cisco IOS and that can be managed from a command line, but am open to all options.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

• Small team sharing a computer?

  Color me surprised, but I think that I just discovered something on the Adobe CC license that desperately, I want to clarify.

  Hi Jack,

  Networked computers can be part of a workgroup or a domain. The main difference between the areas and working groups is the management mode of the network resources. Computers on home networks are usually part of a workgroup, and computers on networks to work are usually part of a domain.

  In a working group:

  • All computers are peers; no computer has control over another computer.
  • Each computer has a set of user accounts. To connect to any computer in the workgroup, you must have an account on this computer.
  • There are usually no more than twenty computers.
  • A working group is not protected by a password.
  • All computers must be on the same local network or subnet.

  In a field:

  • One or more computers are servers. Network administrators use servers to control the security and permissions for all computers on the domain. This makes it easy to make changes because the changes are automatically made to all computers. Domain users must provide a password or other credentials whenever they access the field.
  • If you have a user account on the domain, you can connect to any computer on the domain without needing an account on this computer.
  • Probably, you can only make changes limited to the computer settings because network administrators often want to ensure consistency between computers.

  • Computers can be on different LANs.

  A workgroup is a network infrastructure of base with a soft security check and there is basically no administrative center central control.

  I recently bought small business Service contracts for my Cisco Small Business networking products. I know that I get support 24 x 7, as well as the ability to open cases taken in charge (I recently tried and it works fine).

  I also know that I get next day material, as well as firmware upgrade replacement for my networking products.

  Here are my some "Getting Started" questions:

  1. If I need a replacement of material next day, how can I go to? Open a case of pension? I saw under the requests of support there is an option for the replacement of equipment.

  2 will I be automatically informed of updates firmware for my networking products, or I have to look it up on the Support Center? I don't know how to upgrade the firmware of all my networking products. Is it possible to subscribe to a list of email or RSS feeds notifying me of updates firmware for my networking products?

• IOS router affordable to small businesses?

  I have vascular have the RVS4000 and am looking at the RV180, but I'm having a problem with the RV180 that the DNS service supports dynamic I need (see here). In this discussion, it seems that would be ideal for me is a router running IOS so that I could customize the client DNS Dyanmic there to fit my needs. However, are there any 'affordable' router running IOS, which is similar to the RV180 suitable for a small business without obtaining a powerful router?

  Here's my basic needs:

  • Router is compatible with DNS Made Easy Dynamic DNS service OR has the ability to customize the dynamic DNS client out there so I can adapt to DNS Made Easy.
  • I have DO NOT need wireless. We have only need and wired Ethernet.
  • I prefer Gigabit Ethernet.
  • We do not currently ProtectLink, so, if it offers the possibility for big, if it not, very well.
  • We have our own VPN service and you do not need to access the network remotely (distance just in one dynamic device using DNS), so if she fine integrated, great, if not, VPN.
  • I wish that included IPS. Our RVS4000 has it, and I like this feature.
  • We go to cable broadband and VOIP through our company of cable, so QoS should probably be included.

  It does not run IOS. About IOS, IOS main routers are pretty expensive. even a basic ASA5505 which is limited to 10 users. I'm not sure at 100% compared to the RV180, but I do not know that the RV042G starts in less than half of the time is the RV180.  WebGUI is so much more sensitive.
