Smart blu ray - PC games

If I buy a drive smart blu - ray, I'll be able to play PC video games on my TV screen?

Hello

Please write to us.

We do not have to buy a Blu - ray player alternatives if your Laptop/Desktop CD/DVD is playing content Blu - ray-compatible and the same content (games/films) can be transferred to the TV via VGA, HDMI, but if it does not support Blu - ray technology, then I recommend you to buy an external drive for CD/DVD (USB) that supports.

Once we have the DVD player connected to the computer, then we can use this article to http://windows.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows/connect-computer-tv#1TC=windows-7 (it applies to Windows 8) to connect to the TV.

And if you talk about something like this http://www.sony.co.uk/hub/blu-ray-disc-player, then I recommend you contact the manufacturer of the device because currently we have no information of the right products to help you with the problem.

Let us know if you have any questions.

  • Media Smart DVD, not so smart... Will play only some blu ray, not all.

When I get a computer with a drive blu - ray I expect to read blu ray discs... all of them. It works with some but not all.

Records, it does not work with, what happens is it will ask me 'Do you want to check updates' and there will be a box to check yes or no. Basically, it will say disc is ready to play, just play to push. Easy right? HELL NO.

If you check Yes, it will make the symbol of the wait little and the request of updates, then come right away and you still ask once, a circle without end to check updates. If you press n, it will go away, then you have a few options, one is to open the menu and see if there is actually an update... No. no updates it. the other option is to do what he says and push the game because he thinks that the blu ray is ready to play. Once I press play it starting to think and appears as "you want to check for updates" again. It's so frustrating. HEY HP, FIX CELA DUMB TRAP CIRCULAR THAT USED LET ME WATCH BLU RAY.

And it is a blu - ray disc video block buster movie. Not some copied disk random. So, I know that it is not the disc.

After spending a lot of time chatting with their service Dept. It seems that this will not work until the next update mediasmart. The technician told me to use Cyberlink power dvd 10 until then, I downloaded the free trial version, and it worked fine. Thus, they have 30 days until my free trial exhausted.  We will have to see.

    Hello

Feel like I am back in the age of darkness of the DVD here... but I'm having a lot of inconveniences to blu ray works.

I bought a reader blu ray a couple of weeks, and it took me a few hours to find corel windvd on my laptop (and it is the player can only blu ray... Nice...) Thank you microsoft/toshiba for he suggests DO NOT when you put the BD)

I mainly work on linux on this laptop, so excuse my stupidity in simple things such as watching a movie... anyway this bluray finally played.

However, I wanted to try a 3d one and bought Resident Evil Afterlife 3d...

3D games, when I want that, 'other' the blu ray play... but that just is the "corel windvd" message and does nothing. The drive starts in 2d, but I don't buy it for this that I have? The parameters for the screen of the computer with Nvidia 3D vision. 3D vision enabled of course.

  • Satellite P770 - model with i7 CPU and blu - ray?

I've been watching the P770 I would be interested in a resolution higher above the P750. The only problem is that he says he will have a blu - ray player, but the option that is currently available is a DVD player.

I know this is that just came out so maybe they will add some soon, what are your impressions? I would get the P770 if it came with processor i7 AND blu - ray. This option is i5 + DVD. :(

    Hey Buddy,

I also checked the new series of satellites P on the official website of Toshiba. I think it will be great notebook series with more recent and powerful and ideal material for the new multimedia features like the blu - ray.

    I checked the specifications of different models P770 and I saw * Satellite P770 - 10 p * with Intel Core i7 and blu - ray disc!
    Here's the direct link:

It also has the graphics card GeForce GT540M Wow, that is as powerful for games :)

  • Qosmio G50-129 - can I have it with Blu - ray?

I was looking for a laptop for a few weeks now and I fell on the Toshiba Qosmio G50-129. I had already seen the X 300 range, which had the quad processor, I prefer, but I did not like the colors of this laptop "boy racer".

I thought that the G50 was a reasonable compromise - the high-end core 2 duo processor 800 GB of disk space and lots of features. Only two issues I have with this machine is the 32-bit version of Vista (why don't they provide 64-bit - I'll never understand this) and the lack of Blu - ray.

Now, I'm not a fanatic of DVD or something else that I appreciate that the Blu - ray is the format that is there to stay. To this end, I have a small collection of DVD Blu - ray that I can play on my PS3 and my DVD Blu - ray player hooked up to my surround sound system.

Can someone please explain to me why Toshiba produced this stunning notebook G50 - 129, but for A £1 499 it does not include a Blu - ray player? Are they crazy? I don't like that they have lost the race format by backing the wrong horse, I expect to get the Blu - ray on A £1. 5K laptop!

Unfortunately, Toshiba you lost my business as a result of this omission. Too bad you didn't just accept that Blu - ray is here to stay and accept him as most of the other manufacturers.

    Hello

As you know different notebooks from different manufacturers have different material combination.
Is that Qosmio G50 doesn't support Blu - Ray player, but this machine has other benefits.

It was equipped with the Toshiba Quad Core HD processor, that can turn ordinary DVDs in HD quality.
So you can play DVDs using the internal player and you will get an almost the same quality as a Bluray drive.
In this case you don't need to buy a new BluRay drive, but you can watch the DVD movies in HD quality!

However, I searched here in the forum for similar and found issues these topics:
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=39557
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?MessageID=139719

It might be interesting for you.

Finally, I must say that I would not buy a laptop just because of the Blu - Ray player.
For me it s more interesting a CPU, graphics card, RAM, because these are the parts that are needed for games, multimedia, etc.
Of course, the blue ray player would be a nice extra but I have a PS3 too and it was already fitted blue ray player

If this player is not really necessary for me

    Welcome them

  • Blue ray does not work via the HDMI or VGA output to my TV 52 "

    HP HDX X16T-1100

    Vista 64-bit

    512 MB NVIDIA GeForce 9600 M GT (driiver 7.15.11.7948)

HP Media Smart seems to have asked on 3-11, so I can only assume it is the latest version. Gawd knows where you fined the version number on it.

When I put a Blue-ray disc in the smart software HP Medic works very well. I can see and watch the movie. When I try to connect my TV via VGA or HDMI I see that the menus and the HP Media Smart interface. There is just a black screen where the movie should play.

The thing works very well for a regular DVD via HDMI or VGA... problem seems the disc blue ray only.

    Thoughts?

Nevermind I got it. There are two ways to fix.

The TV as the primary monitoring, or extend the desktop to the 2nd monitor.

  • Blu - Ray DVD read problem

HP Media Smart is not reading recently bought Blu - ray DVD.  DVD Blu - ray with dates of production before 2012 plays very well, but when I try to play DVD, I get the message of ' check for updates ', and I can't get past this fast.

Model - HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook

Operating systems - Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit Service pack 1

    BIOS - version F.27

HP Media Smart DVD - version 4.2.5122

I checked the codes region and other recommended measures to make sure that I use the latest version of the software.

    Any suggestions?

I just checked the link and it's OK, but it should result in only 1 file which is approximately 138 MB.

  • Satellite Pro L870-149 - query Toshiba Blu - Ray player

    Good afternoon.

I bought the laptop above a month ago and have just tried playing a Bluray disc for the first time using its built-in Bluray player, but nothing plays.

By default the autoruns drive the integrated Toshiba Blu - Ray player, which is loaded up with success. However, nothing happens when I hit play, I can't see the list of chapters and I can not load all of the menus on the disc itself.

Disk can navigate in Windows Explorer and there is no mark on the disc itself (it's a drive new, bought at the shop), but I don't have any other disc BluRay that I can use to check if it's the disc or the drive.

The built-in player or the player itself's restrictions on the game bought at the shop of BluRay discs?
I should also mention that I have ensured that I have selected the correct region during the initial installation of the player.

    Thanks in advance.

    Simon

    Hi Simon

Have you tested with several discs of different blu - ray player?

  • Samsung Blue Ray does not connect to internet, but being of other devices.

I used this Blue Ray Samsung drive with this router for over a year without problems. A few days ago I set up parental controls, by downloading the Netgear Genie app on my PC from Windows desktop, on the router, and now Blue Ray does not connect to the internet. However it connects to the router fine. I have 2 phones Andoriod, 1 tablet of Andoriod, a WII Game Console and your Windows desktop that all connect to the router and the internet very well. I tried shut down the drive several times over 2 days and has been turned off at night twice. I deleted and re - establish the creation of a Wi - Fi connection on the player. I even updated the router. and off the Parental control. all this without any success. The DNS and IP are obtained automatically by the player. Any ideas?

    Hi bldroge,

  • BDV-E300 will not play blu - ray

I have the latest firmware published 011 24/05/2011. I can't play the human planet (all disks in the game) or Death At A Funeral. I can play DVDs fine; I can also play other older Blu - ray disc, that I already have.

I was told I need a firmware update, but I'm already at the latest version. What gives?

    Hello
Welcome to the Forums of Discussion of the user.
Or the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer-"Death At A Funeral" out June 2011 or "Human Planet" BBC publication April 2011, have been reported as non-playable for the BDV-E300. Previews play and just errors on the film itself? or are these two tracks totally unplayable.

We sent two titles of these problems of gameplay for review. We offer you to test with another copy of the title even if possible, if one bought recently.

  • Drive Blu Ray for HPE-140F

I am looking for help to find and install a blu ray (game or R/W) drive in my HPE-140f.  Before I crack the case that I was looking to find info on the type of connection of the current drive to use, prefer an internal vs external USB 2.  I did install component PC before, but was hopingto find some information on the addition of components of this machine and the type of the specific interface for Blu Ray player

    Hello

The procedure to replace an existing optical drive or add an additional can be found on the following link.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c01882216

If you replace the existing drive, just use the same power and Sata connections for the new Blu ray player.

If you add the Blu ray drive as an additional device, look for a free power connector is close to the one connected to your existing drive.  You will need to buy an additional sata cable to connect the additional drive to the motherboard.

    Kind regards

  • Blu Ray does not work after upgrade to Windows 7 64-bit

Hope someone can help with this problem. I found a lot of forum and users with similar problems but I can't solve this problem.

I bought this HP Pavilion DV7-1055EA about 3 years ago the drive blu - ray one of the points of sale, it was loaded with Vista 32 bit. After making this computer has 4 GB of RAM instead of 3, I did a clean install of windows 7 64-bit. After which my Blu Ray player stopped working.

When inserting a CD/DVD, the drive works fine and everything is as usual, however when insert a Blu Ray disc windows does not recognize the drive IE "drive is empty".

Different things, I tried to set the inclusion of the problem, reflashing the BIOS, install the latest firmware, re - install the game media, installed PowerDVD but without any change in the symptoms.

Can someone help with this problem? Well, I'm stuck on this one like blu ray readers are not my strong point in computers. Maybe HP (in their wisdom) printed a digital brand on the device which prevents him from being compatible with more recent versions of windows? I talked to HP however my warranty has expired I do not pay £15 for a fool to tell me to come back for win vista (which is the worst OS known to man kind) or that there is no solution available. Help, please?

    Hello

After writing this last post, so I decided to download Nero Info Tool to look at information from drive etc.

The program asked if I could put in a disc to test the speed of running, so I thought... what the hell I'll put in a blu - ray disc and see what happens.

Next thing I know that running speed test took place then everything suddenly the blu ray kicks in life and he was here... smooth as the more calm waters, known for the kind of man... my blu ray film.

Reboot the machine and now the blu - ray player works fine. Any idea on what just happened?
