Smart consumption housing / drain

Hi all I decided to buy and try the case for my iphone but 6s battery I noticed that time associated battery doesn't seem to be comparable at all, with the native stack in the iphone. I noticed that it consumes about 5% every 2 hours even with the iphone in airplane mode stby mode, which, on the native stack, would mean 0% drain. When you surf on safari it takes 1% per half of native drums and I wonder whether or not it is normal or if I can have a less powerful unit (if possible). Can share you your experience with your battery drain dealing with idle or using it, compared to what you might have already evaluated with native battery? Thank you and happy holidays to you all.

Have you any comments please? is not an indirect way to lift the post, but I'm really looking for feedback / help please. Thank you.

  • "no cell coverage" is draining my battery.

my battery has recently started to empty very quickly. I looked in the useage bites and there is a section is called "no cell coverage" that he uses to leasdt 60% of battery in 24 hours.  Yes, I'm in a poor area of cell, but that's not the problem that it is has three identical phones in our House. they do not have this problem, or if they post this "feature". I asked all the apple users I know and no one has this 'no guaranteed cell' listed in the battery settings. Please can you tell me how to turn off or better yet, get rid of it. Thank you very much

It is a new display setting in iOS 9.2. When cell coverage is low the phone increases its power output in order to maintain a connection. A weak signal uses 10 times more energy than the strongest signal, so it can if drain a battery very fast if you are on a call, and it will still flow battery when not online because the phone reports periodically its location on the network if an incoming call can find your phone. In addition to other things complicate, if you regularly lose signal completely the phone to send a page "where are you?" to the network to reconnect. He is sent to full power. If there is no response he reiterates demand periodically, with longer and longer delays between pages. However, if it reconnects and often loses connection, pages are transmitted frequently without awaits liked, yet after draining the battery.

All cell phones work in this way, including the iPhone. In the past, all this happened behind the scenes, if you don't know that the mere fact that your battery doesn't last that long in a weak signal area. With iOS 9.2 (and possibly 9.1) the battery monitor now shows you in this regard. You will only see if it uses more than 1% of your total battery consumption.

Also note that the display of the battery is a percentage of a percentage. That is 60% means that 60% of the use of batteries in the past 24 hours, 60% of the battery capacity. So if your phone is using 50% of the total capacity of the battery (the top display says 50% bar) this means that 'no cell coverage' is used 60% 50%, which is (0.6 x 0.5) 30% of the use of batteries for the period.

ADDENDUM: If you tap on settings/battery screen it will show the actual time that each app in energy consumption spent running in the foreground and background.

  • IPhone smart case 7

I recently bought the smart box for iPhone 7.  The costs of the case perfectly when connected to the charger by itself or when the phone is placed in the case, turned on and connected to the charger. However, if the phone is in the case, which is connected to the charger and the phone is switched off - only the phone will charge and not the case?  I want to turn off my phone overnight, but this way the phone will be charger but the battery case will not?

    Hi goblue2121,

The reason its called a "Smart Battery Case" is because the case is able to detect when there is a phone connected to it and when that phone is drained. Once you wear the case, she just starts charging your iPhone depleted. If both devices are 100%, and you have the case, the phone will initially use the batteries in the case, and change to empty his own cell. If you turn off the phone while its in the case, the case is will not charge that she believes that the phone is drained.

    Recommendations:

    1. Charge iPhone and case separately.
    2. Activate low power on iPhone at night Mode.
    3. Turn on do not disturb & low power on the iPhone during the night Mode.

    The best

  • iPad 2 Air - WiFi but no Internet [BT Smart Hub]

Since the update to iOS10, last night, my iPad 2 Air will not get an internet connection for my new BT Smart Hub.

All my other devices (6, 6 s iPhone, laptop, iPad mini, etc.) are all working well.

    Results so far:

    Reset the router

Restore the iPad as a backup and a new device

Reset the settings of the network, including the lease

The hub is certainly taking over the iPad, but it won't give him an internet connection. There is no VPN software that I know on the iPad.

If I connect the iPad to another device (namely my phone on a hotspot) while the internet works fine.

Spoke with BT and they said that they see no problem, and as all my other devices work then there must be something wrong with the settings of the iPad. :/

By clicking on the side of my wireless connection, it seems that the router is not to give information the iPad (i.e. there not IP, subnet, router, DNS, etc info).

At a total loss about what to do next - it's my main iPad sunk into the wall to control the House so it needs to work!

Hello. You have enabled an access control on the router? Maybe you need help again to the iPad. Have reset you network settings, settings > general > reset > reset network settings? I guess you can see the network. What happens when you enter the password? Looks like you are having problems connecting to WiFi, no internet.

  • Solution of as influenced by identityservices battery Drain / Messages

iOS9 battery draining - in regards to the identityservices and Messages - affects IPhone, look at and OS X Devices

Some people have problems with the battery drain on their iOS devices. We have two sets of iPhone (each a 6s +) / Watch combinations - each running the latest versions - 9.3.1 and 2.2 respectively. On watchmaking and the iPhone battery drain has been noticed about five days after the release of the 9.3.1. I took the devices in the genius bar - they have worked on them for three hours - have many things to watch - restored like new. They also have to reset all the settings on the IPhone - all to nothing does not. Both devices had abnormal battery drain. They agreed to leave the ticket open for problems not solved.

I found a post that suggested the signing of all services. I tried on the first combination of iPhone and watch. It seemed clear the issue. I tried it a day later on the second phone - battery drain still very badly on the second set - it did not work. Tests showed that the watch itself (corresponding iPhone not tuned on) not not drain - drain you only while the iPhone is in. And the iPhone itself drained.

Next step: I ran Xcode instruments on iPhone still questions. I ran the monitor of activity several times for different periods. Run the latest showed the system task: identityservices consuming more than 5 HOURS CPU time in a period of 9 hours sleep. Safe to say that the task system was draining the battery. The iOS log lists the iPhone that task in the form of your CPU time excessive - and that the thread, the cause is linked to a message store. I did more research and found that this system task seems to have created problems of battery in another version of the IOS too.

I also found that the OS X version of this task (identityservicesd) created a countless number of error messages in the console log on two of our OS X devices (iMac and MacBook). He also ran the battery down on the laptop - quickly. Weapons of this information I instrumented again iPhone. I started to stop every iOS device - (two iPhones and two iPads) one by one - when three of these aircraft have been closed the identityservices task fell to minimal use of CPU - is no longer than 50-90-105%. In addition the corresponding task on the OS X iMac and MacBook stopped spitting out error messages.

I rebooted each iOS a device once they have been fully charged. The task of "runaway" system (identityservices) is back to very low use. On the iPhones battery life now - after being in mode standby for five hours - very low consumption 'use '. Not doing much with phones as five hours. Previously, its use was almost equal to the wait time - it was a low ratio. Now, it's an a very high ratio - about a 1 to 10. For those who like % - after five hours, it is 97%.

Regard to watches - we turn those and soon back on IPhones and see how they do. I'll post a report on those later in the day.

UPDATE: watches are now running to the normal battery level.

Error messages identityservicesd on OS X machines indicated that the error was associated with a particular 'ID of Machine' (not the same as the serial number appearing on). I'll see if I can track this number down to a specific device. I don't know how to find the Machine ID on the devices iOS - or watches also. Perhaps one of the devices was a problem - most likely turn off all devices and caches of posts offset by a reboot.

I think that some people may have the same problem - but perhaps do not realize it because they are used for a certain battery life level - or maybe they don't have it not as bad. In any case, I don't think that this particular system should continue to work and consume high CPU when there is a problem.

I hope this note helps people who seem to have battery problems. This isn't for everyone - I consider the following to determine if she could help.

    • Check your iOS log (settings |) Privacy | Diagnostics & use) for an entry that starts with: ExcResource_identityservicesd-2016-MM-DD...
    • If you have one or more of the above - the chances are that this may help you
    • Turning off all IOS devices (and maybe your OS X devices too - not sure if this is necessary) and feed them back on one by one.
    • Simple - for us it was very efficient
    • My concern - this can happen again if the tasks system is not changed.

My plan is to submit a bug report to Apple to document this behavior as son

For reference, here is an example of messages that have been continuously (~ 5/s) being produced in the log of OS X console during periods of exhausting high battery.

I have this same problem on my iPhone running iOS 9.3.1 6. I have not noticed any additional drain on my Apple Watch if. My iPhone battery life was fine before today where he went from 100% to 0% after having not used 8 1/2 hours. The only thing I did differently from any other day, it's Add airtime to my phone (I use Tracfone prepaid service). But this type of battery drain is not never happened before.

It doesn't look like my iPad 2 Air, MBPr 2014, and iMac 2013 (all updates running) seem to have no effect on my iPhone (and vice versa). My Apple Watch seems to have an effect minor on it, where the identityservices process will draw upward when the watch is connected at the start and then things will calm down back with occasional changes, but nothing drastic or "abnormal" (compared to the iPad).

One thing I noticed is that my old Apple devices (a 2009 iMac and a MacBook Pro 2008) send the process identityservices on my iPhone skyrocket as soon as they are turned on and connected to the wifi, and then once they are off the process comes back down. And with the iPhone locked, connected to Wifi with Bluetooth, when you are connected to the activity of Instruments monitor. Turn my iPhone market again (several times) has not changed anything. Even after the phone is dead earlier battery drain is always the same.

Thanks for all your advice! I'll try and see if I can get it working again "normal."

I'll also try to restore my iPhone and set up as nine (do not restore backup) since I restored recently to go to a backup and thought he could have problems with the backup that I restored from the phone display incorrect numbers for the size of the backups and what was actually be saved. I will update this post to see if things change after restoring my iPhone.

  • Apple Smart Battery box

Hey I have a question about my Smart Battery case I noticed while using the phone in the case when both are charged at 100% the phone empties slowly, even if it is connected to the case which empties as well I would be 100 percent in the phone but would increase gradually to 99% to 98% etc while the phone is supposed to be in charge in the case. but when I do not use the phone and its in my pocket or sit on a table or a desk, the battery remains on 100 percent on the phone and the case until he exhausts which is how it is supposed to work, but I think it's usual life drains real phones battery while using the phone for music Facebook I reload message email etc even if his charge of the case is this normal behavior

    Thank you

This support document examines the case of smart battery. Charge your iPhone with your Smart - box Apple Support

It is not included, but I remember reading more on somewhere else, and it seems that when you use the phone, it uses the phone's battery and the case will charge the phone when you stop using the device, like the day before. I don't think it requires the device while using it. According to the document of support, you should see the status of the two batteries of the lock screen and the use of intensive applications on the phone to increase charge time. I'll try to find where I read that, but encounter difficulties right now. I'll post again if I find it.

  • Unable to completely battery life after 5 days without power drain

I have an Air of the Ipad. Recently, I was interested to do some tests on the active state of the unit after removing the power of the battery of security.

My goal was to completely drain the battery of life so that I can see how long it takes.

Too my surprise the camera shows even an indicator of low battery on the screen every time I press and hold the power button. This State lasts for about 5 days now.

    My concern is that:

    1. What functions are operational in this low power mode and
    2. How would it effect someone who wanted to completely drain the battery if they felt that the operational device would be a threat to their security.

Can someone point me to sites or information thereon. His great concern for me because there are a few scenarios where there is a risk of abuse if the device still has power long after that the power cable was pulled from the unit. Because I don't know what kind of functions are available in this low power, one wonders if the device is still able to carry out certain functions. If it becomes very difficult to get the device int0 a physical state of no power, there is a possibility of the device could be turned on or have some features work in mode low consumption that could restore the State of wifi, or who knows what.

I thank very you much for your time.

First of all, completely drain the power from a lithium-ion battery is one of the worst things in the world for her. You may damage the battery. Insofar as what would be active, once the power is drained very deeply, it may only be able to open the unit, but if it contains an authentication code, he would remain in the locked state, unless the person knew the access code. I don't know of any place that would indicate what other resources would be available for the device, but I doubt that it would be able to start a large part of what.

  • Actions by default Smart

Is there a way to set a default state of active Actions? I want a rule where it detects if no other rule/State is active while it applies to my default settings.

Simply set your 'default' values in the settings pages. When no Smart rules are active, your settings "by default" are in force. For example, if you want a default ring volume to about three quarters, then set accordingly in settings/sound/Volume/ringer. If you want the volume set at 100% then at home, then create a rule to intelligent Action to do this. When you arrive at home, the active rule and the volume increased to 100%, when you leave the House, the ends of the rule and the volume comes back to your default three-quarters value.

  • To maximize independence, should I fully charge my case smart battery before the first use?

I just got my smart box and I'm looking for advice on maximizing its battery life/performance.  Instructions for my iphone says to fully charge the phone prior to activation, but I heard that it is better to let the battery drain completely before recharging.  Suggestions?

Instructions for my iPhone says to charge the phone before activation

It's just to ensure that you don't miss power while activating.

but I heard that it is better to let the battery drain completely before recharging.

It is the case for nickel-cadmium batteries, but not for the batteries the lithium in the iPhone.  Load them when you want.  It is not good to let them go completely dead unnecessarily.

  • 2-axis... 1 switch House? Find reference

I use a card of e/s NOR-7330 movement, to which it is a Council of I/O UMI 7764 motion. This card is used for the stepper motors closed loop. Currently, I am trying to write a VI that, for each axis, turn each screw lead until running personalties on the screw in the switch to home and once they make the position can be reset to a value of knowledge, basically reseting this House switch in a position of reference / reference. The goal is to get away with just using 1 switch House, for 2 axes, is it still possible? Is it safe to do, or help would be rear limits and a House move work better?

I ran the find reference VI with little luck. This will simply an axis until it hits the home button, but immediately running the engine in reverse. What I read I suppose it's considered the race before or back, instead of a switch at home? IM assuming that something in my MAX settings is incorrect, and I was hoping that someone with more knowledge would be useful. It would be great if I could run 1 axis to the switch House assign to a relative position of the switch House, then do the same for axis 2.

    Thank you

Almost any Max setting may be overriddin in LabVIEW.  You have a lag move together, that's why your axis moves after finding the switch house edge.  I disable the switch House to the MAX and then use Smart turn in reference to find parameters.  Do not have one a motion compensation or reset in MAX position.  Use the reference find VI, then when that VI is complete, you can make a move of compensation and/or reset the position using LabVIEW.

  • Energy consumption

How much energy a computer consumes approximately per hour (LCD) when we Disconnect?

Also if anyone can compare the energy between disconnection and sleep or stopping, it would be much appreciated. Thank you.

As much wood as a woodchuck could chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood.

Who wants to say, not much.

The "logout" 'sleep' and 'shutting down' terms are not very accurate, especially the last two.  A precise answer to your question depends on the number and type of components which continue to receive and use the power in each of the different States.

For example, if you "log off", basically everything is still working but there is no charge special calculation on the CPU.  On the other hand, if you "shut down" but let all plugged into a power source, there are still energy consumption (see below).

You might be interested in the following site, which offers a sort of rough estimation of energy consumption for different configurations of workstations House--> http://www.apc.com/tools/ups_selector/index.cfm
