  But, normally, for the smaller cards, you will need an adapter that is often included, as for the memory stick pro duo.
  I think it's just normal size and you have to put in the middle of the card reader slot until you hear a click.

• I use CF disks and Smart Media/xd 3 cameras when you import images into Lightroom. Get weird file extensions. Appreciate the advice.

  Hello. SWP, I installed and it works fine but there is no icon sheet. I tried the Manager and SMP is activated ok, so is the icon. Can anyone suggest a solution?

  I've done all the fixes listed here and on other similar topics, without success.  I then found that another step was necessary.

  Right-click on the toolbar area and select 'Customize' in the menu dropdown, then select 'Add or remove commands '.  In the window customize the toolbar, select the HP Smart Web icon in the list on the left and ADD it to the list on the right for the current toolbar buttons.  Click on the close (not the reset button) button.

  Then I had to again with the right button in the toolbar area to "Unlock" the toolbars so I could adjust the position of the bar Comand so the icon sheet slipped in the display, then I «locked "toolbars to keep there.»

  Hold down the keyboard Windows key and press R.  In the run box, type msconfig and press ENTER.  Click on the Startup tab and see if HP MediaSmart Photo is listed here.  If this is the case, remove the tick from the box next to the entry and then click on apply to apply the change.  Restart the PC and see if that helped.

• Laptop is a Pavilion dv6-3025dx, Photo smart media opens but displays all the photos.

  When I open Windows media center all the photos that are installed on the computer are still there. They do not come and view the HP media smart program. When I go into a space that is to have a picture but it is empty, I can press on "ctrl and enter" button and image and the file opens in windows media center. I'm puzzled. If anyone has an idea of what is going on please let me know. Thanks, remote

  Welcome to the HP Forums!

  I understand that your HP MediaSmart software does not work properly.

  Try to uninstall then reinstall the MediaSmart Photo software to rebuild libraries from scratch. This should fix the paths of the files corrupt or metadata causing problems.

  You can download it here: HP MediaSmart Photo software. (Assuming you're on Windows 7 yet.)

  Make sure that your photos are not registered in the MediaSmart directory. If they are, move them to a safe place like images or a folder on the desktop.

  I would like to know if it works!

  Open computer and you should see a new drive letter. Can say new Drive X or X to removable disk, etc. Click on it.
