• Get Smart View to connect to the planning

  Version is 11.1.2.
  
  I've installed Smart view using tools-> installation-> Smartview to workspace. After which opened Excel, click sharing of connections and changed the url to the < servername > correct: 19000/area of work/SmartViewProviders.
  
  After that, I am prompted to log in with my user id and password. Apparently I can connect without any problems.
  
  My question is what now? My shared and private connections pane has a menu drop-down with 'select the server to go ahead', but nothing is listed. My open-> active connections is empty. Nothing happens when updating. AND:
  
  http:// < servername >: 13080/APS/SmartView gives me a 404 error. I checked to see if Analytic Provider Services ran who it was. I restarted the service anyway, still the same issue.
  
  Also there is a difference between installing Smart View of workspace vs download and delivery facility?
  Any guidance appreciated.

• MaxL Script to clear the data between two dates

  Hi all

  I need advice to clear the data between two dates, I have three dimensions in my sketch, 'eno', 'hiredate' and the 'actualamount '.

  Now I need to erase the data between the date range, up to now, I have this script,

  Fix ("HireDate", "Eno")

  These scripts only clears on a specific day, but I tried to write the script to clear between two dates, I surfed on a few sites, but no clear answers, finaanly came here, kindly help in this regard.

  Have you not tried the format of "startdate":"enddate" for example "August":"September."

• Select several entire rows in the data grid does not work

  SQL Dev 2.1.1.64 on Windows XP.
  I can select an entire row in the data grid (or the result of the query) by clicking on the left with the line number column. I expect to select several lines by clicking and dragging, but it won't work. He worked in v1.5.

  * Click the line number of the first row, then shift + click on the line number of the last row
  * Click on the first cell in the first row, and then drag to the last cell of the last row
  * Click the line number of the second line, and then click the first cell in the first row and drag until the last line (most like what you want)

• Unable to connect to the server with Smart View essbase

  I'm having trobules connection Smart View to make ad hoc analyses, but perfectly I could establish a connection with planning and navigate web forms in Excel.
  
  The address that I use to connect to Essbase is: http:// < server >: 19000/aps/SmartView and planning url is http:// < server >: 19000/HyperionPlanning/SmartView
  
  I have already used these URLS in another server with the version 11.1.2 but now that I'm trying to connect to a server with v11.1.1.3 I can't. Whenever I connect to planning to see forms a prompt appears with the message saying that "I connect to a server with an earlier version" but I could work perfectly with the forms. When I connect to essbase, I can see the apps but I can't just do any analysis adhoc.
  
  Could someone has an idea of what could happen?

  SmartView 11.1.2 is not compatible with Essbase 11.1.1.3.

  Test the new version of Smart view 11.1.2.2.310 on Office Excel 2010.  In Shared connections I show three Essbase servers

  Through the Regional service, ago only EssbaseCluster-3.  This file or search is connections shared pointing to 1 and 2?  If I try to open them, they give an error "unable to connect to the Essbase server.

  How can I remove these?  Click on the option delete is not available...

• When you perform queries Smart View Ad hoc, changing the selection of the Alias in the Essbase himself Ribbon

  When running Smart View Ad-hoc queries, selection of the Alias in the Essbase Ribbon does not.

  When I start a new query, the Alias in the Ribbon of Smart View is always set to None; but often, not always, the selection will change itself no default - usually after I refreshred/zoom a few times.  He starts a time past, I change the selection of the Alias in the Ribbon in none, but it changes just itself by default again.

  The option to display the name of the Member is defined on behalf of members only.  (This is the default setting for this option and I usually begin with all the options, by default).

  This problem started after that we went to 11.1.2.2.

  If neither know why the Alias / None change automatically in the Essbase Ribbon?

  There is a way that you can set for your connection

  When you use shared connections to connect to your application, you do a right click and say "Add to private connections". Once you have added to your private connection, right click and click 'Set Alias Table'. You can do this on a connection that you have added to private connections

  Like you all most probably know, it is possible to update the information on the database for an Essbase cube (that is to say, to hold relevant information like when a cube was last rebuilt or recalculated, etc.) so that to view the notes in question databases when you connect and seleting a cube Essbase using the Essbase snap.
  
  So, my question is I would like to know if Smart View is equivalent functionality to be able to read the notes of an Essbase cube database.
  
  I searched using smart view but could not find something in this direction but thought someone here might know whether it is possible to do something like that.

  Unless it is in 11.1.2 (will watch these daily Readme files now), this feature is not in SmartView.

  I know you can hit him just behind the classic login window.

  I don't think this is addressable through the Spreadsheet tool box, although the old VB API has a function EsbGetDatabaseNote.

  At its core, DW is all just a text editor. All the available controls would be based on the server model you are using. I'm not at all familiar with CF, but I don't think he uses complex types "control". It is a scripting language and DW can generate scripts that can create a grid of output.

• SmartView Essbase connection on the default port, must connect to 6423

  Hi all

  We have Hyperion 11.1.2.2.30x installed and configured with full SSL everywhere.  With this, we have Essbase successfully listening on 6423 (6423 only, we have disabled 1423) safely and all components (planning, EN, Calcmgr, etc.) are in communication with success too.  Thereby when attempting to connect to Essbase via SmartView, we receive an error stating ' unable to communicate to < essbaseservername >:1423.  The issue is that SmartView trying to connect on the default port (1423) instead of the safe harbour 6423.

  In environmental assessment, we have added a provider using the secure connection (< essbaseservername >: 6423: secure) that we are able to use in environmental assessments, but in SmartView is always looking for 1423.  No idea where this becomes SmartView and or how I can get it to connect to 6423?  Thanks in advance for any help you are able to provide.  In addition, all other connections through SmartView (SSL) are able to connect successfully.

  If SSL is enabled by the EMP for Essbase configurator and the value of setting SSL configuration in the essbase.cfg then when you connect to Essbase in Smart View the safe option should be available for example "EssbaseCluster-1: SURE.

• Smart View adhoc unable to present data

  "We try to present data using smartview adhoc"send data"button."  However, instead of the values hard-coded in the data cell, we use a formula to calculate the value to be submitted.

  for example, in cell F24, instead of typing in 200, he uses a cell containing the A10 * 2 formula for calculating a value at present.  When I click on send data with this formula, it will not submit the data.  I know that the intersection points are valid because if I sumbit a hard coded value it is sent successfully.

  It is a question of a previous post from another user. The original solution, said that this bug has been fixed in the 11.1.2.2 version however I use SV version 11.1.2.3.4408 and has the same problem.

  I found that if I use twice the button submit data, data can be recovered. Is it normal to click twice on the button submit data or this bug has been addressed?

  To change the values to zero, it must go to smart display on the tab options options data, and select submit zero (you may need to change the #Missing to #Numericzero to make it work

  It is preferable to refer #missing to the database instead of the zeros as zeroes are considered datavalues and are stored as opposed to #missing which is not. Zeros can inflate the saze of your DB and everything slow

• Error when using Smart View install link in the workspace

  Hi all

  We recently definitely use Smart View 11.1.2.5 instead of 11.1.2.1.

  So role the file to our users, we must update the link in the workspace.  I did it, copy the new .exe and file version.xml to our server that hosts the workspace, in the path of file Oracle/Middleware/EPMSystem11R1/common/epmstatic/wspace/SmartView.  I then removed the old files.  Now when I connect to HFM and go to the link, after a period of a few minutes, I get the error "Cannot find a version of the runtime to run this application."

  I tried to restart all of the services, a dead-end.

  No one knows what to do to fix this error?

  This is a known defect in Smart View 11.1.2.5.  HFM Workspace do not recognize as valid an installation link.

  There is a big difference between OdsOpen and Navigator.ConnectDataStore...

  OdsOpen ' ', 'STORENAME', 0, 0
  corresponds to
  Dim store: store set = navigator. ConnectDataFinder (STORENAME)

  OdsOpen 'AOP5', 'IOR_STRING', 0, 0
  corresponds to
  Dim store: store set = navigator. ConnectDataStoreByParameter ("AOP5", "IOR_STRING")

  And here is the difference. When the store variable goes out of scope the ASAM ODS Corba session is closed. This would also happen if you cancel your

  OdsOpen with the OdsClose which must correspond to it. Otherwise, the session will remain open until the server time out.

  In your case, this means that the session with your IOR no longer exists after the script is finished.

  What would work around?

  • You will need to create a global variable in a command from the user and to entrust the open air. The global scope will remain open until you call close or nothing set.
  
  
  • You open the store in Navigator which will remain open until you shut up. (navigator. Display.OpenDataStoreByParameter)

  There is an additional difference.

  • OdsOpen establishes a connection to the server for each open call you. Take a look at the file-> ASAMDataService and watch all your stores open with client and server resources
  
  
  • Navigator. ??? will not open a new server connection if the parameter string is equal. So if you want to open it twice add some xml 1 ...

  Anyway, the best way to work the way you do it is openeing the store in the browser GUI. Second best is the global setting, but it is more difficult to implement.

  Most imports or ASAM scripts which I know work with a single open... and its end when the script is finished.

  It is unclear what exectly arrived, but looks like a change was made in the dimension entity planning (not EPMA) and then deployed (successfully).

  In essbase, we see that the entity dimension has only one member left for the appropriate plan types, as in the planning.

  If you remove members and then push that yes the essbase data is deleted, if you need back then you will need to go back to your restore process.

• alleged connection to the data store local preventing vmotion

  I have a VM that signals a connection to the local data store on its host, and therefore can't do vMotion elsewhere.  The virtual machine has two virtual drives, which are both on a SAN storage.  The virtual machine has been previously connected to an ISO on the local data store, but it has since been replaced by client device.  He always insists that he's using something on this data store, however.  I've looked through the vmx file and don't see any reference to it.  I also tried to remove the data store, but he claims that the file system is in use.  The hosts have been recently updated to esxi 6.0 U2, and it's the only VM that now seems this behavior.  Any suggestions on what could be the cause?  It is a server important enough in this environment, and be locked into a single host makes me a little anxious.

  Turns out it was because of an old cliché.  If you get an ISO from a data store and take a snapshot, the virtual machine will keep a link to that store of data even after changing the client machine.  As soon as you delete the snapshot, this relationship goes, and access to this database is therefore more a review when searching valid hosts.
