  I am facing a problem when working with Oracle ADF. Here's the usecase for this problem.
  
  1 > I have created a simple bpel webservice that returns data from database
  2 > then created the datacontrol therefor in my adf application
  3 > once I dragged and spent attributes return webservice as "FirstName" and "LastName", etc on a page like jsff datacontrol
  inputText.Removed xml links unnecessary and kept as simple as:
  
  < af:inputText value = "#{bindings." FirstName.inputValue}"id ="it1.
  label = "name *" >
  But the problem is when I run the application, the Web service is called, also return values, but the inputText contour is not there. The values will appear as an outputText.
  
  I have this connection, I should mention that I'm using Windows XP 2002 professional version SP3 and JDeveloper is 11.1.1.3.0.
  
  I tried many things but could not obtain the success.
  
  Any solution to this problem will be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

  This is because Web Services are not editable, but rather ask you to explicitly call a method. To change this behavior, in the data control panel, select the node of the collection that contains the attributes that you have created the form of. Us ethe mouse right button and choose "EditDefinition. Select attributes and open the property inspector. In the property inspector, find "isUpdateable" and assign the value true to the attribute.

  Save the changes and update the Panel (refresh icon) DataControl. The entry field makes now editable

• Oracle Smart View 11.1.2.5.400 prompt bug still not fixed?

  in our company we have 11.1.1.7.140715 OBIEE and we test Oracle Smart View 11.1.2.5.400 (Build 376) on Excel 2007 32-bit and Excel 2013 64 bits to allow our end users work easier.

  Unfortunately, almost all of our reports contains guests and when you try to insert an object in the Excel worksheet, we see the 'object' error reference not set to an instance of an object and Excel crashes.

  Is there a solution?

  In MS Word I pull data from smart view (using the values get functions) data was appeared correctly but it does not display in thousands here I attached the file and marked in the red circle... How can I set the thousands...

  You change the formatting:

  right click on the value, and then selecting Toggle field codes

  It should be in a format something like that {= HsGetvalue ("", "#POV SIZE") |} SmartView12343242342 | {General |}

  in this code, "Général" is the applied formatting, change it to your desired format by the thousands formatting {= HsGetvalue ("", "#POV SIZE") |} SmartView12343242342 | 0, 0. {00 |} for example will give you thousands, commas, with 2 decimal places.

  Once you modify the code, right click again, disable the field code and update smart display to view the results.

  If you don't want the separation by commas or decimal places 0, just use

  If you want the comma and no use decimal 0.0,

  If you don't want any comma decimal use 0,.00

  It's the same syntax of formatting that Excel uses.

• Error when using Smart View install link in the workspace

  Hi all

  We recently definitely use Smart View 11.1.2.5 instead of 11.1.2.1.

  So role the file to our users, we must update the link in the workspace.  I did it, copy the new .exe and file version.xml to our server that hosts the workspace, in the path of file Oracle/Middleware/EPMSystem11R1/common/epmstatic/wspace/SmartView.  I then removed the old files.  Now when I connect to HFM and go to the link, after a period of a few minutes, I get the error "Cannot find a version of the runtime to run this application."

  I tried to restart all of the services, a dead-end.

  No one knows what to do to fix this error?

  This is a known defect in Smart View 11.1.2.5.  HFM Workspace do not recognize as valid an installation link.

  Smart zoom view in slow for a user with office 2010, but the same zoom in fact with office 2007 comes back almost instantly.

  What version of Smart View / APS?  How many lines is returned by the zoom?

  Do you know that absolutely all of the options are identical to get it back ('use Excel put shaped' makes a big difference to big zooms)?

  We cube essbase with Smart View 11.1.2.5.500, users put in place their card smart view presentation technique that extract data from their financial model, my question is that

  When users are ready to send data and connect to essbase, forecast data in the spreadsheet disappear, replace data into Essbase (is there nothing in essbase yet obvious), is any way to avoid this?

  I can add leaf with connection to essbase, then copy the value and submit, it works. But of course, it is not very effective.

  I don't miss something in the smart display setting?

  Dan is correct.  It is expected when connecting to Essbase of Smartview behavior.  The work around what he suggests is also one I have my team to use.  It has additional benefits.  You can do your work on a single sheet and then copy - paste special values only to the Essbase submission page.  In this way, you can use the formula to create your presentation, but not the formula on your shipment page.  Then, you can create a page of validation to make sure that the data matches between the two.

• Remove the hierarchy without affecting only not in Smart View

  I was wondering if someone was faced with the same question.

  We have an online form with all P & L SG & A accounts used for the planning session and we don't want any kind of indentation, and I'd rather flat. So, we used "delete the hierarchy", and it works perfectly in the workspace. But when we opened that in Smart View, it always shows the indentation in the rows.

  Is this a bug / it's just normal behavior / is because of the difference in the version for planning and smart view

• Smart View Excel Add - In Error Message

  A client was trying to perform Smart View and it crashed. The display then shows the message/question Excel:
  
  «Excel has experienced a serious problem with the snap "oracle hyperion smart view for office, edition of fusion".» If you have seen this message more than once, you must disable this add-in, and check to see if an update is available. Do you want to disable this add-in? "(Yes/no)
  
  The customer has NOT disabled, but rather disconnected Smart View and then reconnected. When they did that, they were hunted Smart View after a few minutes and was then again reconnect.
  
  Is there a solution for this problem? They really need disable the add-in, and then add the Smart View? Please indicate the exact steps to solve this problem.

  Whenever I encounter this problem, I simply close excel, put an end to all the processes related to excel and excel reopens.

  However, said that the problem is known and we have a new bug to the same EXCEL CRASHES when YOU OPEN OR SAVE a FILE [Bug ID 12957863] (September 8, 2011).

• Unable to get the list of Essbase servers in the office with Smart View 11.1.2.1

  Anyone tried connection shared in Smart View 11.1.2.1? I am able to connect to, but it doesn't show all the servers in the non editable drop-down list. I tried with Office 2003 sp3, Office 2007 and office 2010, but none of them works. Also, I tried to find the datasourse.xml file in LWS - aps in the console of shared services, but is not there. I tried the solution given on that link also, but the datasourse.xml file is not in place.

  I found the problem and solved it...

  Cause:
  SmartView is unable to save properly with all other components.

  Solution:
  After the installation of a SmartView, run the Configuration utility and select Foundation-> Web Configuration record properly with all other components.

• Smart View - refresh all ignorant hidden tabs

  I am using a Smart View model that built a colleague, which contains a number of tabs hidden with actual tire and visible data with the release of summaries. When I try to use Refresh to update the data, it seems to ignore the hidden tabs and only try to refresh the most visible. If I show all data labels and refresh again, it works for this tab, but still ignores all other hidden.
  
  Anyone know if there is a setting in Excel or Smart View I need to adjust or anything else that could be the cause?
  
  Me and my colleague who created / used the model using Smart View 11.1.1.3.00 (Build 190) and Excel 2003.

  I checked on the server, and this setting are already there and pretty high.
  
  I put the netDelay and setting on the machine clent also netRetryCount but no luck.
  
  Also when it is tested for different machine even well-executed BR.

  You can try the below mentioned.

  The following registry key needs to be updated on the client computer:

  1. open the registry (start-> Run-> Regedit)

  2. Locate the following section: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings].

  3. create the following new keys to dword with decimal values:

  "ReceiveTimeout" = dword:00dbba00

  "KeepAliveTimeout" = dword:00180000

  "ServerInfoTimeout" = dword:00180000

  4 restart the machine for the new settings to take effect.

  It seems that you use a member called Level0 to the dimension of the responsibility to a value of 3510.8365.0000000 and to represent the child of Member having a value of 60100 etc..
  Remember that you will have to put in the CP_number before the name based on the table alias. So if Timeperiods resembles join TimePeriods cp_101 then your $ $ColumnValue$ $ is replaced by cp_101.Months and bets of $$ $$ColumnValue replaced by 'MS '.

  Make these changes, and then run the query using a sql tool
