Smartphone blackBerry Curve 8320 of the United States

Hello

A friend came back from the United States and sells its Curve 8320. It's unlocked, but I wonder I have to use here in Ireland as the unit was on a different network than the problems.

Any help would be appreciated

If it is unlocked, you'll have no problems using on any other carrier of GSM network in Ireland, freeing the devices turn off the features.

    I have a BB 8320 curve, version 4.5.0.81

I visited Tmobile, they replaced the SIMM card.  I have a 4 GB memory card, but my phone is constantly in mode ' spinning hour glass "and unable to use.  I thougth maybe it was something to do with the service in the Austin TX area, but it's happened throughout the week I was in Colorado and California.  This makes the phone useless - what to do?

The only solution I found is to remove and reinsert the battery, but it of a pain and was that it does not work.  My phone is spinnign right now!

And Yes, I'm a quickpull on it every night as suggested by T-mobile.

    5077335bytes = 4.84 mb

the 8320 has 64 MB of memory onboard

I keep my 8310 has the same amount of internal memory, to (at least) 5 MB of free space. I met similar problems when my memory was full. Also if you get low on memory, your phone will automatically remove your history of calls, text messages and various other temporary files, you can keep. So what you have is working, but I would not download anything else (unless his little) without removing something.

That said, the hourglass has stopped turning?

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry curve 8520 shows the duration of the call during a call

I was wondering if someone could help me, since a few days my screen every time I do a call is all blue, he does not see the duration of the call or the name which I'll call or called me while I'm in the call! When someone calls me it shows the name, but I respond as soon as the screen goes blue again? Does anyone know why it is, and how can I fix this problem?

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

    Best!

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not activate e-mail upon return to the United States

I have a unlocked BB Torch which I have used successfully for international travel all summer, just to buy SIM cards in different countries.

I returned yesterday to the United States and give my card AT & T SIM card in the phone.  Everything works (calls, texts, browser, BBM, Facebook, etc.)-with the exception of e-mail.  Nothing has pushed on the BB because I put the card in.

I went to Setup-> e-mail-> activate account Email accounts and entered passwords for my two accounts (personal gmail and Google Apps work) but keep getting "sorry, cannot continue your session.  Please log in again. "Tried it more than 10 times with the same error message each time.

    Help.

I had exactly the same question; If you're going to http://mobile.blackberry.com and select your region & carrier, you can then enter e-mail under the banner of connect, then select your email provider (or select other if they are not listed) and you can reconfirm your email account details. Once you have validated, your emails should start to come through, and you can then change your accounts through blackberry E-mail set up the application on the phone. I hope this helps!

  • Smartphones blackBerry PIN to the United States since the France

I will be going to France in September and buy a BlackBerry and the service and wanted to know if I'd be able to another BB PIN of France? Going to cost me something? It cost the receiver anything, if the receiver of the PIN is in the United States?

E-mail pine is part of the sender, and BlackBerry package of the receiver of data. Several carriers have unlimited data plans, so in essence it is 'free' yet you pay a single monthly price for the data plan, which includes unlimited messaging of pine.

Now, if you have a capped package, say 50 MB of data for monthly and you go on this amount, in theory, you could have to pay more.

So it depends. But in most cases, no, you will pay more.

You can PIN message all over the world for no additional or international fees. None.

  • BlackBerry smartphones, I'm in Egypt but my Blackberry 8520 think it is in the United States - cell phone in Egypt numbers start at 0

    Hello

I bought an unlocked phone from T-Mobile in the United States which I use with an inLuxor of sim card Etisalat, the Egypt, where I live now.  I have no problem that the following exception:

I can't use my list of contacts to make calls because the Egyptians cell phone numbers begin with 0 and my blackberry automatically adds a sign before the number as a number of foreigh - which makes the invalid number.  So I have to dial the numbers that I use more again and again.

Has anyone had a similar experience and can advise me how to fix this?

    Thank you in advance.

The smart dialing options are there if you look where I said.

  • Release of the blackBerry "BOLD" of Smartphones in the United States?

Since no one knows when the "BOLD" which will be released in the USA, I wanted to know if anyone could answer to another question. I see that the "BOLD" was published in the Canada. I currently have Sprint as supplier and the 8830. You can buy just the "BOLD" from a supplier outside the Canada. Can I do this and we my current SIM to my 8830 and put it in the "BOLD" and have everything be OK?

No, that would not work. The bold is currently only a device of GSM network.

Your Sprint is a CDMA network carrier. You cannot mix.

The "BOLD" of Rogers will work on ATT in the United States.

  • Blackberry Curve 8320 unlocked blackBerry smartphones

    Hello

I have not actually bought my Blackberry yet, but I'm looking into it right now. I want to buy a unlocked Blackberry Curve 8320 which was previously on AT & T or T-mobile (I'm a couple more different). Anyway, I wanted to buy a Blackberry and place it on a data plan with Rogers Canada. I'm doing this because I want to be able to use BBM, so I think I need a data plan.

I buy the Blackberry separately because I want to be able to use overseas when I use another GSM SIM card for example. I know doing it on contract is cheaper, but I don't want to do that because I will be locked on a 3 year contract and I won't be at the Canada for 3 years.

I just want to know if the Rogers data network will work with a Blackberry unlocked as I described above. I asked Rogers customer service and they said that they cannot confirm that the Rogers data network will be to 'connect' with the unlocked Blackberry because it once belonged to another provider and I should buy a Blackberry from Rogers. I don't know if they just said that if I would buy the Blackberry from Rogers rather than elsewhere. I know the unlocked Blackberry should work fine with a regular for calls and SMS GSM SIM card and all that but I want to know specifically about BBM - ing.

Sorry, my question is so long. Thanks a lot for your help!

While Canadian companies may be different from their American counterarts I do not that the differences are only significant to materially affect my response.

When you buy a 'new' locked onto a support device will be offered the device at a price at a price significantly lower than the retail price recommended for her.  That's what prescribed contractual lock in as they recover for the duration of the contract, the difference between what you pay and the cost.  They're subsidizing the price in order to collect a healthy monthly fees for access.

All U.S. carriers require a data plan for smartphones in addition to any general "plans" for just minutes and text packages etc.  I guess that Canadian businesses require the same.

In order to use BBM you need a dataplan carriers which is what allows your device use the features of the BIS (Blackberry Internet service) requiring Blackberry data push, e-mail, all what is "data".

This is a new in the box device purchased by your friends at Rogers.  They sold you a Blackberry and they dance as they listen to the registry will chaching.  This is music to their ears.  This is an item being sold and it is "locked" to Rogers.  Of course, for each month of your servitude under contract happen to dance again once the Registry continues to provide them with more chaching.

You bought a camera from them, you can use it at this stage only with them.  They will be as you might or might not be aware subject to various and assorted penalties if you tire of their service or their absence and take your business elsewhere, or try.  Costs of early termination can easily exceed your initial cost plus for a premium, in a credit institution, violating laws governing wear.

It's what keeps dissatisfied customers even with the carriers that are less satisfactory.  It is just too expensive to leave while allowing some, but not all carriers for you 'sell' the balance of your contract to another.  If Rogers of permits that are unknown to me.

If you buy an "unlocked" device it is expected of the band is compatible with Rogers (GSM/CDMA as the case may be) perfectly capable to be activated on their network.

Their after-sales service is to use a euphemism, blowing smoke.  They know perfectly well that a device unlocked regardless of its origin.  They won't make you a device for which they do not receive rewarding chaching first and make run on their network.  Since you did not pay a subsidized price for the device that you are not obliged to a three-year plan or some length Rogers requires for locked for new devices.

While they play stupid indeed hoping you will buy them and locked himself in a service contract.  It's guaranteed money for thirty-six months.  It's a lot of money.

Assuming you get to admit only a 8320 unlocked (GSM) will play well with their network that you can buy a phone, monthly data on the plan without being locked in a period of time.

You will absolutely need the dataplan however, at least the minimum plan they offer will prevent access to the services that make it a Blackberry.

Of major importance for you in as long as purchaser of a used instrument is the only one not is indeed "unlocked" but the PIN was released by the former owner and the access to its carrier, T-Mobile or AT & T.  Every Blackberry is assigned a unique PIN that lives with her forever.  For example, if I want to sell my unlocked Blackberry Storm I will have to make arrangements for the release of the Verizon PIN so that a subsequent purchaser can activate the storm on Verizon (my service provider) or such that it is unlocked any service provider, as it really is a universal device capable of activation on a CDMA/GSM/UMTS network or Global.

I would like to buy a used if and only if it is verifiable that the PIN was released by the previous owner/carrier.  With the instrument in hand, it can be checked on the device or not it is unlocked.  The output of the SPINDLE must be verified by the previous carrier and I'm too cynical, but I wouldn't take the word of the seller unless it was a very trustworthy family member and even then, I would like to politely ask for verification.

Rogers wants money on your part.  They want the money upfront to sell you a Blackberry and they want the contract guaranteed money for the long term for the months down the line.  For Rogers, it's win/win.

You can, even if it's an expensive to buy a new device of Rogers at the MSRP and not you will not lock in a three-year contract.  The majority of carriers who does not advertise that the difference is more than lost long-term do not lock you in their.

I hope this helps.  If I appear cynical, it's because I am.  Carriers are there to increase their profits and integrity is lost in the maze.

  • Automatic synchronization of blackBerry 10 BB10 works does not in roaming in the United States

Our Canadian users with Blackberry Z10 devices have reported that when they travel to the United States activesync does not work automatically. They must go in the settings of e-mail, stop pushing and then turn it on again manually synchronize their devices. It is the same for users connected through COMICS or directly via ActiveSync.

Have already checked political active Exchange is set to false for "RequireManualSyncWhileRoaming." Users have downloaded the latest software updates on their devices. We have no problems with iOS, Android, and Windows Mobile devices. Auto-Sync works absolutely fine on a trip with these devices in the United States.

Have reported this problem to the Support of Blackberry and got one of the user to generate and sent diagnostic Unit reports while he was in the United States. While we're waiting for Blackberry diagnose these reports want to know if someone has encountered similar problems and if they managed to solve it.

Any help or comments in this regard will be highly appreciated.

    Thank you.

We were able to solve this problem by making a security wipe and reconfiguring email activesync on the device of the Z10. The device updates released a few weeks back probably solved the problem on the device, but it was not effective until it has been cleared and reconfigured.

  • Coverage PINK Blackberry Curve 8330 BlackBerry Smartphones Will come up on my Blackberry Curve 8320?

So, I want to buy a pink lid for my Blackberry Curve 8320. However, when I look on eBay or Amazon, pink rugs say they are for the Blackberry Curve 8330 (I know that Verizon is out with the pink telephone). Is there a difference? Should be always on my phone?

(I mean the real case, not only a pink rubber or case cover to put on my phone)

    Thank you!

Yes, as long as you ALSO replace the keyboard AND the small part that is under the keyboard.

If you have any questions or need to order extra parts, I suggest you call and purchase of Horizon Wireless, they will sell you the correct thing.

  • Questions of blackBerry Smartphones BlackBerry Curve

Hello everyone, I'm about to buy my first blackberry and I have a lot of questions.  I plan buy 2 different people the storm and curve.  I'll start with the curve since it is the one I will use.

    Is there a html browser?

I can google things and visit all the websites, I want? Like youtube, myspace, forums, hotmail?

Can I connect to my laptop and use it to access the internet when I'm somewhere that does not have internet for my laptop? If so, is it easy to do?   (Access to the Internet for my laptop is a breaker of a big deal for me at the time to decide which phone to buy.)

Can I access my account from outlook express from BB curve?

Does anyone have the curve and the keyboard is easy to type with.

The curve has 3G technology and what is anyway and why is it important or not important?

And what the heck is bluetooth? I honestly don't know what or how it works.

Hello and welcome to the Forums of Support BlackBerry.com.

    STG says:

Hello everyone, I'm about to buy my first blackberry and I have a lot of questions.  I plan buy 2 different people the storm and curve.  I'll start with the curve since it is the one I will use.

Is there a html browser? Yes. Out of the box if it has OS 4.2 on the device, not ideal for browser HTML, but yes,'s done it. The best full browser comes with the operating system upgrade to 4.5

I can google things and visit all the websites, I want? Like youtube, myspace, forums, hotmail?

Almost all. You'll need OS 4.5 on the curve for streaming video to youtube, go to 'm.youtube.com '. There is no flash drive on the BB, so Flash sites don't do so well. Mobile optimized sites, or sites WAP sites are even better.

Can I connect to my laptop and use it to access the internet when I'm somewhere that does not have internet for my laptop? If so, is it easy to do?   (Access to the Internet for my laptop is a breaker of a big deal for me at the time to decide which phone to buy.)

Yes, on most carriers you can "attach" your laptop for the BB as a modem. Some carriers charge extra for this service - for example ATT and Verizon do, Tmobile does not work.

Can I access my account from outlook express from BB curve?

Why? You must configure your e-mail in order to PUSH directly on the BlackBerry. That can only make sense to you, once you're running. You will not access your account Outlook Express on your PC, but rather the service Blackberry RIM will go to your email provider and 'recovery of email' and 'push' to your BlackBerry.

Does anyone have the curve and the keyboard is easy to type with. Millions of people have the curve. It is quite easy to type with. I used a wide. The keyboard is very nice.

The curve has 3G technology and what is anyway and why is it important or not important?

No, no 3G (although the 8330 on Verizon basically since their EVDO network is basically 3G.

  • Where can I buy a phone in the United States?

There is no information on the Web site on the search for a phone of a person living in the United States. The United States are not yet in the drop-down list and I went to Best Buy and a few other places when it may be available and they said they had not heard anything. If I can't buy it in the United States can I import and put on an American plan?

Ensure that the carrier takes in charge the sim cards and allows smartphones on the network (not a CDMA phone/sim only carrier - that does not work)
