  Hi, I use a BB Storm 9530 with Verizon, OS 4.7.0.148, App World v1.1.0.23, (personal) BIS and BES (working).

  I had installed a third-party application (QuickPull Free) via AppWorld, then I started having problems with it so I decided to uninstall it and then reinstall it.  I deleted the application by selecting its icon, and then pressing Menu-DELETE (i.e., I deleted it WITHOUT using AppWorld). Now I try to reinstall it. When I go to AppWorld and My World, he appears as installed. When I select, I get the loading... message with the green bar, but nothing happens.  Help!  How can I get AppWorld to know that it's been deleted?

  Oh, wait... I think that I've missed something in your original post you highlight the icon and fact BBKey > delete? As in, the icon that you would normally used to run PS? If so, it is not always a surefire way to remove an application from a BB. See this KB:

  As the KB discusses, you should check using method 1 if you do with method 2 (which I think you did)... I bet that the app still shows as installed (using method 1).

  I just got a Blackberry 8300 from a colleague who has left the company. Is there a quick way to remove their phone contacts & address SIM on mass books? It's excruciating duty doing one by one! I also have the same problem with having to remove their e-mail settings.

  You can use the clear function to erase all the data from the previous owner. To do so go to Options -> Security Option -> click on the Menu button and select Wipe Handheld.

• Smartphones blackBerry Curve 9320 theme issue

  I recently got the BB Curve 9320 and I have downloaded + installed 2 themes from AppWorld. He says that the installation was successful, but when I go to change the theme new themes do not appear on the theme list. Is there a trick I'm missing?

  Note: The themes I downloaded are compatible OS for bb that I - rechecked before that I paid and also double-checked when I couldn't find the topics anywhere on my device.

  I had a quick glance at all the themes of this person, and each of them has people complaining that the theme does not work.

  So pay attention to everyone... Do not download helina AND check always the comments for all applications, that you can download.

  Rather boring, but that's to be expected.

  I would recommend that you download the OS for your BlackBerry model, connect your BB via USB to your PC and follow the instructions for YOUR model of BB, found at the top of this link... one of those highlighted in yellow State "attention"...

  Go in the e-mail on your device Setup Wizard, select the e-mail account that you want to remove, and you will be able to remove it from there.

  If the icon remains on your screen, go to Options > device > advanced > maintenance book and find the CICAL and CMIME entries with Correo electronico, press the BB menu button and select Delete.

  Yes.

  Highlight the first message to delete, hold down the SHIFT key (bottom left), and scroll through the remaining messages should be deleted.

  Press the DELETE (far right) or Menu > delete).

  In my humble OPINION, the best way to manage the massive file management activity is not via the interface of the device. Rather, mass storage Mode can treat your BB as a USB on your computer and use your computer interface to manage your files:

  After you have installed a theme, my blackberry suddenly stopped working. I can go to the home screen, but when I try to press any button (messages, options, etc.), it will not work. I rebooted my phone by pulling the battery for a million times, but it still doesn't work. I tried to connect my phone to the computer and remove the theme using app world, but app worl will not work. It says that my device is not connected even though it is. Help, please. I just had my camera for a few months. I shouldn't have installed this theme PLEASE please help me I don't know what to do now.

  Try to start the machine in safe mode.

  Remove the battery. While you hold the "Back" button re-insert the battery. Keep pushing the previous button for another 20 seconds or more in the boot sequence.

  If it starts, remove the theme.

  You're right, the theme for OS7 development package has not yet been published by RIM.

  However, in the last two days a developers has sorta broken the key... and released some.

  I have a couple of travel separated coming at the same city. BlackBerry Travel groups them and views them as a journey (looooooooooooong), even if it is backwards and then return and new.

  Is it possible - once the trip was automatically added by BB trip - to separate different routes on separate trips?

  ALSO: If I need a hotel transport or ground, is there a way to get the BB trip stop to remember in the itinereary I need a hotel or ground transportation?

  Here are the steps:

  1. Open, on a PC/browser, BB travel (travel.blackberry.com)
  2. Login with the appropriate credentials
  3. Open the trip that contains the item you want to separate
  4. Select this option, in the menu "Actions" drop-down of the item you want to separate, "Move".
  5. In the pop-up window, select "Move to new journey"
  6. Fill in the details and save
  7. Now, back to the list of all travel, on the very long journey (which now, since you've done the above, one or more detail items less), click on that "Actions" drop-down and select 'change the trip '.
  8. Adjust the dates of the trip so that it is really long trip

• Reset blackBerry Smartphones by removing the battery

  My experience (using the torch) in 4 months was that there was a battery pull to reset the phone. I don't think it's a very good idea, my phone will last far too long in this way, the back cover will be replaced at any time earlier that I expect (2-3 years on my other phones). Y at - it another way for this reset the thing as a software trigger, etc. I don't remember having to do this way in my other phones before.

  I think you can be looking for the simulated battery pull method or restart.  I use this (if necessary) when I have my AGF GRT case on my Torch (usually weekend).

  To restart without pulling on the battery or a 3rd party app:

  Hold down the ALT key, then press right SHIFT and DELETE keys at the same time. Until the red light appears, then release all keys.  This restarts your device and works on all devices with a standard QWERTY keyboard.  There are also applications 3rd party who will accomplish the same thing, but I think it works for me.  I hope this helps. ~ ecm

  PS: I don't think you need to address why you're attending battery pulls.  I usually go without pulls/reboots unless I'm upgrading of operating system or adding / removing apps & themes.

  Regarding your question, there is already a Knowledge Base article that is associated with this error:

  KB34245 : A checkbox, and then a red x appears when a BlackBerry smartphone running BlackBerry Device Software 5.0 or BlackBerry 6 to 7 sends a message to a smartphone BlackBerry 10 via BlackBerry Messenger 7.0.1.23

   

  In my opinion # Workaround seems to be a little hard.  So I prefer you should first try to reinstall the BlackBerry Messenger application and see if it helps with your current problem.

  To make your homescreen go to Options > device > application > locate and delete BlackBerry Messenger from this list.

  Deleted once perform a battery pull reboot by removing the battery while your device is turned on, wait a min. and then reinsert this return.

  Finally, after the reboot, use your BlackBerry browser and go to www.blackberry.com/bbmdownload and download the most recent version available. After installation, restart your device once more, connecting with your BlackBerry ID and check if you are able to send BBM to one of these devices.

  Hello!

  Each time a random strange behavior or slowness comes, the first thing to try is a proper reboot:

  • With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes.

  See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

  If this isn't the case, then I recommend that you try to start safe mode:

  It will take several attempts to get the combination of keys ESC (press/release/hold) OK, so be patient. When properly in Safe Mode, see what happens.

  If the behavior continues, then well... think what happened just before this behavior started? A new application? An update? A theme? Something else? Think carefully that the slightest change can be causal... and try to undo all that was.

  But if the behavior continues mode without failure, you may need to consider more drastic measures - WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload and the process of reloading OS 'skeleton '. To prepare, you should be sure that you have a full backup of your PC... Please see the Backup link in my sig auto on this post for instructions.
