Smartphones blackBerry 5.0.0.681 update error?

Hi, im new. I recently bought a 8900 nine of my friend and it is awesome. But I tried to update in office reach the 5.0.0.681 software, but in the middle of the process it stops and reads "a fatal error has occurred." Any ideas how I can fix this problem?

    You should try the manual method... from a PC, you can install any compatible OS package (for example, for your BB model exact number) of a BB via this procedure:

    Note Although written to "recharge" and the storm, it can be used to upgrade, downgrade or recharge any BB device model - depends on the operating system package you download and install on your PC. You can even use a different OS package carriers simply insert, between steps 1 and 2, the deletion, on your PC, a file named PROVIDER. XML. remember that you remove from your PC, no matter what other packages devices OS BB as having more than one installed on the PC can cause conflicts with this procedure.

    If you are on a MAC, you are limited to only your sanctioned carriers OS packages... but can still use any level they currently have to sanction. See this procedure:

    I tried to install from the CD and on the Web the Blackberry Desktop Software, but I get this error (1720 package windows install).  I really want to be able to connect to my Palm Desktop software to transfer my contact, appointment, etc...  Instead of enter singularly.

Please, what can be done to remedy this disorder. COS I already tried to uninstall the software and reinstalled again still with no positive results.
    P.S: it works fine before. The blackout began about 3 weeks ago.

    • Connect to the BlackBerry Desktop Software and allow handheld to connect. If you are prompted to update, cancel the upgrade for later.
    • Go to device > delete > SELECT DATA > select this option to remove the Social flow and smart card data bases and follow the rest invites you to complete.
    • Now, you can go back and click to update the device through the Desktop Manager, or restart the BlackBerry in normal mode and continue on the upgrade of the air.

    Did not help.  He said he didn't have not been updated for my "BOLD", using 4.6.0.167.  I solved the problem by wiping the device and just import my contacts without any of the apps of the storm.

    I rather guess that you have an error app conflicted with the loading of the OS (or boot).

    Same thing happened to me with an incompatible application, a few days ago the loading progress bar would only go about 3/4 of the way and stop.

    Try a brand new OS installation, wipe the device first. I would say to install OS 6.0.0.246

    You change the option in the configuration of the browser for something other than blackberry.  You can change it to Internet Explorer or Firefox.  I've noticed this problem when I try to access my Bank Web site and the web address think that it is accessed from a blackberry browser and not a general public.  Now when you download things like themes that you get from a site of third party... where they send you a txt message to click on a link you must replace blackberry.  Here are the instructions for how to do this:

    Open the browser

    Click the button (Menu) Blackberry

    Scroll down to Options

    Click on the browser Configuration

    Under the browser Indentifcation change to Internet Explorer or Firefox

    Then try again ringtone site.

    After a backup the date indicated under the last backup maitains the same thing, that is September 9, which is the date of my first update after installing this version. What can I do to fix this?

    BTW, 'last synchronization date' will update itself correctly.

    Hi, I installed Desktop Manager v4.6. in Windows Vista Business edition. When I try to use the Media Manager, he told me that the Blackberry Media Sync is not installed and he asks me if I want to install it.     This thread has steps to allow the upgrade of your operating system 5.0. That's how I upgraded my 8330 to version 5.0. I'm still undecided on if I'm going to stick with it or go back to 4.5.

    What version of the os is on your device? Just use the universal search and type "version". Then tap the result under the heading 'Options '. The version of the OS is on the 3rd line and starts with "v".
