  • Smartphones blackBerry 9360 - internet not working after software update

    All, morning

My 9360 updated to the last OS bundle (update of low priority, but I thought I'd run it in any case) and now the internet does not work - facebook and Twitter will not let me open a session by saying that my data plan does not support the application, BBM does not work and emails are is more in sync with my gmail Inbox.

I'm on a monthly contract to pay with Virgin UK.

    Any advice?

    Thank you!

Hello and welcome to the community!

After an update as well as if things get wobbly, I always offer the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    (1) registry HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    (2) Service reference books

    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If this isn't the case, then you should contact your mobile provider for formal support.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Blackberry Curve Smartphones - question about symbol on the front screen...

    Hi all

I have the blackberry curve smartphone lilac, and recently a little symbol "appeared" at the top of the screen, in the same place as the "new message", "new email address" etc. icons are displayed.

It is a white circle with a white arrow pointing South West and black in the middle of the circle and a small red star on the top right of the icon, the same that appears in the top right...

He now has a small number 2 beside him, assuming that I have now 2 new all what it says... However, I don't know what that means, or how to get rid of!

    Advice please someone?

    See you soon

Katie, Hello and welcome to the Forums of Support BlackBerry.com.

You have two apps in AppWorld who call for an upgrade. Check App World > my world.

And on your BlackBerry, in the list of your key messages, clear messages related to App World.

  • My blackberry 9360 blackBerry smartphones unlock

Will not unlock my blackberry 9360. The number keys work but not the keys to the letter. Its old day! Help, please!

    Hello sannas

Welcome to the Forums of the BlackBerry Support

To unlock your device from a device password, you have already defined, you must enter the password you have already defined. If you experience a problem then first perform a battery pull reboot by removing the battery while your unit is powered. wait for a min. then reinsert back.

After the reboot, you should try to enter the password. If you have a mix of different characters in your password, and you are not able to enter properly on the keyboard for BlackBerry. For example, if your password

    • sannas123
    • And if you enter s > a > n > n > a > s > alt > 1 > 2 > 3
    • the result will be
    • sannas1er
    • You must enter
    • s > a > n > n > a > s > alt > 1 > alt > 2 > alt > 3
    • to get sannas123 on your device.

For example, while on the BlackBerry keyboard, you think you type sannas123, you actually type sannas1er. Please type it again carefully, I hope that you will be able to enter your device. Or else if you can't then your device itself will wipe away for security reasons.

  • Smartphones blackBerry 9360 connects USB

My girls used to connect USB phone and you could see his phone from the computer (iMac, Windows). Now, when she chooses USB he doesn't ask password and connects only to load as if she chose Charge Only.

I don't think it's the computer, the same effect on our iMac and 2 Windows computers. Is there a setting on his phone that needs to be changed, or a updated software (it seems to be completely up to date)

This problem started occurring a couple of weeks.

Hello and welcome to the community!

It is possible that the mass storage Mode was cut on the BB, which would translate as you indicate. Check here:

    • KB13564 How to enable or disable the mode on the smartphone BlackBerry mass storage.

  • Smartphones blackBerry BLACKBERRY 9360, stopworking 2G, 3G can only work

I was looking for something on the bones engenier screem after my 2G on my blackberry 9360 stopworking, I have not bring change on this subject, I did but I tried everything I could to make it work again...

Right. Without knowing how you have arrived at this screen, I think calling the carrier (from another phone) or by holding the unit to the store is a good idea.

  • 'Delete' in the music blackBerry smartphones went after the 7.1 update os

I have curve blackberry 9360 a few weeks ago, I've just updated OTA... I didn't notice new features but a few days ago, I was about to delete a music file (which was I copied from my computer and downloaded from free file-sharing sites) of my music player and tada , there is no way to remove them from my music library... I tried to use the file manager, but delete also went there, tried to press the "Del" key, but no luck... I am able to delete the pictures and videos, but only music is not, why is this?

    Oh, I had...

I can't remove it through my camera because the folder "music" (which is automatically created by my phone) has read-only attributes... I tried to change it in my pc by unchecking the read-only properties option, but my phone continues to set this folder read only... and so what I did is I create another folder named "music files" and put all my MP3s, so I can now remove from the file manager and music player...

    Hey people,

Get a little desperate here... Can't go back to the OS 5 coz my desktop (fully updated) software can't seem to connect to the device. The USB connection worked perfectly 10 minutes before I upgraded to 6 ago. My problem is that I can't use the trackpad to click accept on the license agreement, the trackpad seems dead himself, can't scroll or anything like that and the agreement on the screen all the time...
    Please help somehow...

Tried restart the device and the computer, the same situation...

You will certainly need to get your phone to connect to BlackBerry Desktop Software if you're going to get anywhere.  If this is not the case, here is an article from RIM that could help:

  • Problems with BB Curve blackBerry 9360 Smartphones, can not the text, photos, etc.

    Hello

I got my BB Curve 9360 for Christmas and he has got all set up and it was working fine... He loved.  However, about 3 weeks ago I suddenly could no longer text pictures.  This strange thing is is produced both my wifi router broke and was replaced in my house and I also got a new car and added the BB to my Bluetooth on my car.  Two things happened the same day and all of a sudden I can't send pictures... and I've been playing with the phone since then.  Also, my camera seems to freeze place a lot, too, which he has never done before.

Anyone want to take a crack at this?  I would be eternally grateful to have this annoying problem solved.

    Thanks in advance!

  • BlackBerry smartphone reset password forgotten on a curve blackberry 9360

Hi I got a blackberry curve 9360. I entered the password you gave me with it 5 times but doesn't ' t seem to work, so I think it's incorrect. I don't want to keep trying as only have 10 attempts. Is there away I can reset the phone, so I can add new password. I tried to take it to my service provider, but they say they can't do it.

    Thank you

    Chris

Basically, the device seems new, reset to the factory settings and ready to use again.

  • Battery faulty BlackBerry Blackberry Curve Smartphones 9360 and software now corrupted

    I have a Blackberry Curve 9360

Problem started as - battery discharged charge for nothing and switched phone off when you use the browser or a camera.

Phone calls / Email / BBM / SMS ok

Said to try the software update via Blackberry Desktop Manager

Tried it on my laptop but it loaded all company settings and restrictions that use my company (British Telecom)

This included the removal of Blackberry App world and most of my apps

O2 has forced me to make a back up

    Security wiped the phone

This has removed the browser icon

App world and Apps are still reported missing, but they are visible when you look at the applications installed via Options / device / application management

E-mail accounts are displayed when you use the wizard, he accepts the passwords and then fails to remember passwords and takes you back through the new assistants

Is there a way to do a full format of the phone and to start from scratch as doing the wipe of security is obviously not enough to remove restrictions of business who have been responsible for Blackberry App World

As I've been flooded with assistance I edge of Googling.

I backed up contacts / calendar to Outlook

copied the photos / videos / music to help drag and drop through my documents / my computer

And then restored to factory settings.

Some sites say that for this you go in Options/Security/security wipe, but that erases all your data and not the software (which in this case was corrupted)

Factory reset is now pushed 3 buttons at the same time Alt / aA (right symbol) / del

Then Yes, you lose all the preferences / set ups and must use the browser for Blackberry App World once again, i.e. Once loaded, all applications you used to have must be in the view "uninstalled" from Blackberry App World / My World.

After all this, I thought that much, it seems, as battery problem has been resolved, an hour later he died.

My partner has offered to lend me his battery, when we change places I noticed my battery was marginally more roughly in the Middle, mmm battery certainly at its release, the time for a new.

next problem is then to the place to buy, many of those cheap on ebay, but necessarily false/second hand, oh well, keep looking.

    Good bye

  • 9360 curve Smartphones blackBerry battery drains quickly!

    Hi people,

I bought the new BB 9360 curve three days back. The probem that I face is with battery. The battery does not last even for 6 hours. Very disappointing. I use the standard services of BB, with 3G connection. I would like to know if this normal.

Close the applications that you are not currently using including the browser. Choose Menu > close, not the end call button to close applications.

In addition, you have your phone number listed on your 'My Mobile provider' or the carrier. Put your phone number on the internet on these public forums for the world to see, is not wise. To change this, at the top of this page, click my settings > personal profile > personal information and in the entrance of the block of type 'Carrier' the name of your mobile operator.
