Smartphones blackBerry again: Service BIS BB via Wifi

Sorry to raise this issue again: my BB 9900 doesn't commuicate with BB via Wifi (v7.1.0.523), Wifi is turned on (and connected), data (BIS) is activated, the mobile is turned off.

Neither browser e-mail or BB Messenger work, but for example App World or Dropbox do!

Thank you in advance!

Under these configuration settings, what is the status on manage connections > Services status, of the BlackBerry Internet Service? If it is "not connected", then indeed it does not correctly connect via WiFi.

Thanks to continue!

Indeed, it says: "not connected"!

In addition, you previously suggested that you bought your BB separated from your business, which can complicate management. But, in general place of origin of purchase is then responsible for all warranty on the hardware level issues while the carrier remains responsible for all service issues... and all I can say, it's a matter of service. If other things work very well via WiFi, and it of strictly BIS services that aren't, so in my mind would it be a service rather than a problem with the device.

You are right, but in my experience, mobile service providers are hardly interested in WiFi problems as it is not their case (in a double sense).

But another thought now crosses my mind, especially now reading what you posted as your source of BB's do not your carrier... is this BB now, or has it ever (even to leave before you got it), associated with a BES environment? If Yes, then it could be a latent policy onboard blocks access WiFi... see this:

  • KB30076 How to check for an it on a BlackBerry smartphone policy

It shows 'no service '. I got through an exchange of warranty 2 weeks ago, and it should have been completely new (I hope).

Good luck!

Thank you nevertheless!

  • BlackBerry smartphones send/receive emails to business via Wifi

    Hello

Is there a way to define the place of "BOLD" to send / receive e-mails to company via Wifi when, in a trusted network zone?

Hi Kris_Stuart69 and welcome to the forums,

You should have no problems at all sending or receiving emails (BES or BIS) when connected to WiFi. When your "BOLD" is connected to the mobile network and WiFi at the same time, it will use the WiFi as the preferred connection. You can test this by making that WiFi is connected (connection-> Services Status Manager) and it will show you what service is currently being used for Mobile, BlackBerry Internet Service and BlackBerry Enterprise Service voice. When BIS and BES show free 'WiFi', you would be able to turn off the mobile network and you will always be able to send/receive emails. Once you have done so, turn on the mobile network and you'll see the link always shows as "WiFi" instead of "Mobile network".

    I hope this helps

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Verizon Blackberry Internet Service (BIS) Client - how to create a mail filter

Hello. Thank you in advance for the answer to my question. I am trying to create a mail filter so that the messages do not contact delivered to my BB and instead just go directly to my regular email account. I understand that you can do this function of the BIS, however when I tried to create an account, I received a message that says "Please use your device to access the BIS." I did everything as the message told me, but I don't have the same menu options of my BB that I had to do since internet. The page showed only a list of emails and a choice of 'Edit' and 'delete' for each of them. There was no "Filter" button for me to click. I remember some time ago I could access this page and was able to remove the signing of BB (i.e.. "This message is sent to a BB"), so I know that it was possible to access this page. I don't know why I am not able to access now.

If someone out there has Verizon and knows how to access the BIS, please let me know how. Or if you know how to create an e-mail filtering function, please let me know.

    Thank you

    Fred

    Hello!

To connect to your account BIS from a PC/browser (not the BB browser), go to this address:

Enter your BIS credentials and you will be in your BIS account screen. From there, use this KB to create the filter you want:

  • Smartphones blackBerry BES or BIS?

As my company takes away us from the Treo for BlackBerry platform (which looks like to I receive a Verizon Curve 8330), we will of course use BES (BlackBerry Enterprise Service) for our functions of Microsoft Exchange Server.  I wonder if I'll be able to also use BIS (BlackBerry Internet Service) to connect to my personal email accounts.  A lot of what I've read, including instructions for upgrade of OS HH 4.5.x, seems to lean towards either / or, not so much "both."  Can BES and BIS happily coexist in the same device?  TIA.

Hi and welcome to the forums!

Your device's configuration (corporate law) BES or BIS (individual).

I guess it will come Eden to your company IT dept, as to whether you will be able to add your personal accounts.

You can get a jump on your new BB reading Blackberry 101. Just Google, it's on this site!

If this answers your question, please, take a minute and close this message via the options on the yellow star Bravo.

Thank you very much. Let us know if there is anything you need.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry Internet Service account

    Hello world

Well, despite the try, this beginner could not get his BlackBerry has returned to the shop and returned to the use of his sad little nokia. I wanted to ask you one last small question before saying goodbye.

When I first set up my Blackberry, I created a Blackberry Internet service online account. For the life of me, I don't remember exactly why I did this, but in any case, I went to the login screen Blackberry Internet Service (in an attempt to remove the account now that I have returned my phone), but it doesn't recognize my username or my password. It's not a big deal, but I'm a tidy soul and wanted to delete the account. My question is this: I erased my Blackberry before returning and have subsequently changed the passwords for my email accounts: if I still have an account somewhere BIS, Blackberry, in theory, will always have a link to my email accounts? I hope not.

A special thanks to JSanders who helped me when I had problems.

    Now, bye

    Eve

    Hello

You did almost everything you need to clean things up. Change your real email passwords will prevent BIS to access these accounts, even if a BIS account should always exist. To actually eliminate the BIS account, you must contact the support by which you created it... carriers manage BIS accounts for their customers. See this KB for all steps will need to be made when you transfer a used BB:

    • KB05099 Steps to take before selling or after the purchase of a used BlackBerry smartphone

As to why you first create an BIS account, see this FAQ:

The last account in the list is the BIS-level account... you have BIS to enable these services.

    Good luck!

    BlackBerry registration: No.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones BlackBerry Internet Service and Blackberry Enterprise server: not connected

    Hello!

I am currently a user of the Blackberry Curve 8520 and my carrier is FONIC Germany. After trying a few applications, such as the blackberry Messenger or blackberry app World and my email accounts, I discovered that none of them have worked, although the internet explore normal worked as usual.

After doing some research, I spotted the problem:

    BlackBerry Internet Service: not connected

    BlackBerry Enterprise Server: not connected

After calling my provider, they told me that they are unable to connect to the Blackberry Internet Service... They had really no idea what I was talking!

Is there anyway that I can connect my Blackberry to the service without the intercession of my career?

    Thanks in advance!

The service is provided by your operator, then Yes, the only way to activate your blackberry completely is to change carriers.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones blackBerry 9380 no option "send via bluetooth".

am I missing something? It drives me crazy. I can very well receive files, just cat find a simple way to send files via bluetooth. Even when I goto the send option I get only send by e-mail, etc.

    I'm on 7.0 Bundle 2220 (v7.0.0.513, platform 9.32.0.51)

To do a firmware update or install something? I think its stupid how he does not come with this option as standard, I have also checked my sisters bb torch, which doesn't have the option

Hello and welcome to the community!

    See this KB:

    • KB05409 Transfer a file using Bluetooth technology between two BlackBerry smartphones

If your device is non - BB, then substitute in the KB, the instructions appropriate for your device. Unless you're on BB OS 6 or 7, do not skip the step of "Receive using BlueTooth" on the receiver BB... nothing will transfer if you do. I can tell you that on my BB, if I navigate to a file (for example, image, etc, using Homescreen > media > > explores), and then when I press on the key, I have available ' Send', with 'BlueTooth' as one of the submenu selections... so I'm not sure why yours does not. Maybe if you detail the steps that you try, we might be able to spot something.

Good luck and let us know!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones blackberry enterprise service: a must for sms and mms?

I posted a while back that I had a few problems sending sms; I had to take it every day to perform a soft reset before I was able to send sms the sim card and the battery. Finally got my people to service local bb upgrade to the latest version of the software that fixed all my problems... only now I can't send/receive multimedia messages (mms).

my network guys tell me it's because I don't have to subscribe to the company of BB, but I don't believe them because I already had no problem of all sending MMS until the recent software update. I've already owned a BB 8300 curve without company BB who had no problems with the execution of daily tasks - calls/sms/mms.

    can anyone say about that?

Thank you very much in advance.

Yep, it's a container of the slow cooker. You don't need to get MMS, a business service messages.

However, you must have a carrier for MMS service book.

    1. options > advanced > host Routing Table > Menu > register.

    2. with the BlackBerry device powered time, remove battery for a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart

    If still nothing...
    3. return your books to your BIS service provider site.

I got a message saying I need to update the password to any of my emails via the Blackberry Internet Serviceaddress.

Maybe it's stupid, but I can't find the journal to the screen on the BB site...

Can someone give me the link?  Sorry I'm new on this.

    Thank you

The BIS website is your carrier web page, sign in to your account and update the password, this procedure is only for hotmail accounts.

If you have mail setup icon on your device you can do from there.

  • BlackBerry smartphone BlackBerry Curve 8520 BIS not connected

    Hello

I got a BlackBerry Curve 8520 at work for some reason, my BIS does not work, it says not connected and I can't seem to fix. The here's what I've done so far.

    1. checked with my carrier (MTEL.BG) I have all the necessary data active serivices.

2 rebooted a few times handheld (battery pull and waited 30 seconds).

    3 Resed to factory settings.

Tried to register my device using host Routing Tables (the table is empty), but nothinh happens.

Called tech support and they attempted to register my devide without success. They said that my pocket computer probably have a fault and replace it.

Somehow, I think that my carrier or my own missing something and this should be fixable.

    Any ideas?

EDIT: my phone signal is still on board, but I noticed that colleagues (with BIS job) have EDGE instead.

    Thanks in advance!

Thanks for your reply about THS... I know that other guy managed to do that, but nothing for me. It can have any relationship with the fact that I have on board and that they have on BOARD?

    100% directly related.

Overall, honestly, it's your carrier which should solve this problem. If you bought the BB through the carrier and they can't or won't to solve it not, then by all means in their recommendation of replacement.

    Good luck!
