  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry HS-700 wireless headset will dial a number only

I just got a new headset wireless for my blackberry curve. This is supposed to be new, in box. Now that it has set up and connected, when I command for dialing a call, he calls the same number... A number of area code 870 that I don't know. It doesn't matter what I say.

The number was not in my contacts. I looked online and it was in a place in Canada Alberta. I think the helmet that was sold to me as new had actually to be used before and it was a number of that whether he owned previously. I think that nobody has referred to the shop because it could not get other abbreviated numbers.

However, I continue to play with it and tried just by holding down button of the voice for a long time, until the light has stopped flashing. Then I read on the forum while holding the button a good two seconds before trying to make an appeal. Remove the connection, paired again, then hold the button long enough for my cell phone screen to say "call initiating. It now seems to work fine.

    Sheesh.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Urgent help please, I think that I broke completely.

So I plugged my computer and has been in the BlackBerry Desktop Manager thing and I was updating the software of the phone, but in 9 of the 11. Then I looked at the list of things that are done on the phone and he said he would delete BlackBerry messenger. So I unplugged the phone and now it won't turn.

I get out the battery and put that it back in and all that happens is the screen and the keys light up in white and that's it, nothing else.

Any help would be great. Thank you

UPDATE: I plug the computer and started the update, removal of BBM is not on the list of things to delete this time even if it wasn't at the beginning of the last update.

So, if he doesdelete BBM can someone help me please as to how that I get it back?

In other words, if it works once again this update finished.

    Thank you

Yes, you should have allowed him to complete, and then you can go back and add BBMessenger to the device.

So, now, follow the instructions below.

See the link below to download it and follow these simple instructions.

First find your operator and the system operating file that you want to use.
    http://NA.BlackBerry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp

    1. download the OS files to the PC then install on the PC by running (double click) the downloaded file.
    2. go in c:\program files Research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
    3. plug in the BB and double-click on "Loader.exe." It is located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

Once this is complete and your BlackBerry is back up and running, you may need to do a restore of the personal data that you have a previous backup.

  • Problems of Smartphones blackBerry using Desktop Manager with Outlook 2000

Hi all, first time poster here and I'm pretty much at my wits end so I hope that you register here and asking experts will help me solve my problem!

I took possession of a BB Storm 9500 and fight to synchronize a folder of personal contacts within my work email client - Outlook 2000 SP3.  We use MS Exchange, but it is a very old version (5.5 (I think) and will be updated soon.  However, I want to synchronize my contacts folder using the BB Desktop Manager software and I have problems.

DM BB software does not recognize Outlook as a possible source for the calendar - lists that Outlook Express, Yahoo and ASCII Converter.  So I select the ASCII Converter after you export the PST calendar folder in a CSV (BACK), but when I open the field mapping option in the desktop software manager, the 'Email' field is not visible as a mapped field.  I can transfer just about everything (once I changed the listed fields exported from Outlook to match what awaits the Storm/DM software) but I can't for the life of me find where the Email data field is mapped to-he's just not here!

I tried to do a complete uninstall of the DM Software (cleaned up the registry, etc, etc) and reinstalled but still the same problem - does not recognize the existence of Outlook or the Email field.

According to the BB, it's loaded with v4.7.0.78 (Platform 4.0.0.98).

Is it possible to do what I want it to do?  Support muchly appreciated!

    Andy

Outlook 2000 is not supported by Desktop Manager version 4.3, 4.5, 4.6, 4.7 or.

It is supported in the Desktop Manager 4.2 Service Pack 2 version.

You'll either have to update your Outlook, or downgrade your DM.

  • Disassociate from Smartphones blackBerry 8310 Desktop Manager/Redirector previous sync with the laptop I did more.

I recently Sync BB 8310 with BB Desktop Manager and redirector on a computer on which I don't have. Unfortunately, I was unaware of the RIM 'server' of the emails I receive every day (approx. 20-40 emails per day)...

Is there a way to separate my BB from this previous synchronization? Help, please... I am so tired of grab my phone to see another message from the system RIM Argh!

    Thank you.

On your device, go to: Options > Advanced > maintenance book and remove any service books for [office]

I hope that will stop them, since you no longer have access to the old PC.

  • Smartphones blackBerry V6 desktop software / V5

    My phone is a Storm 9530 w / os V5.

Is the software of office than V6 supposed to work with a phone that has the V5? My software has an option to update from V5 to V6, but when I do this it does not click on the "apply" button to update the changes that I'm trying to do over the phone! I installed it on several pc and it does not apply changes on a pc.

The current version on my Storm 9530 is V5. If I try to update my phone, it says there is no update available. Is there an another update for this model of phone, or I just need to keep the desktop V5 software?

    Thank you

Version 5.0.0.41 operating system 9 is the latest version of the Storm 9530 software.

Read the first post in this link and follow the directions posted here, you don't need the desktop software to upgrade.

  • Smartphones blackBerry with desktop V7 sw error

I've upgraded to version 7 and when I backup my BB I get an error right in it and it won't continue. Is this a problem with V7 and should I revert to a previous version?

mmmm, the RMS database contains the configuration of third party (such as the high scores to BrickBreaker) applications. You have any configuration that you want to keep?
If not, you can go to the advanced options of the Office Manager and:
try again to save just the RMS database
    delete this database

I take no responsibility if you lose some data that.

  • Smartphones blackBerry LIST OF BUGS/CHANGES THAT REQUIRE ATTENTION!

In 24 hours here is what I came up with, more will come that I use my phone more. If anyone has any comments/suggestions/things to add on one of them, please do not hesitate to post them here, that way we can get a list of bugs/fixes needed in a single post.

    ALARMS:

-Capacity requirements to set multiple alarms on different schedules (can only define one now). Allow alarms to only occur on one day, if wanted (i.e. Sunday or Saturday). Option for the week is cool.

    PDF VIEWER:

-Zoom feature should not be simply click on the screen, but a slider as well. See page x of y at any time. Improve the transition switch page.

No WiFi? Is this really acceptable?

    Browser:

-Buttons must be returned with the highlight to select, like everything else on the phone.

    BUG:

-Cannot silence the phone by holding down the button mute, except if the screen is locked. Should work in all cases.

-Bluetooth: When I disconnect the headset (from my pc) service, the phone randomly call someone from my call log (generally the last person made or received).

    E-mail:

-Place the option in the menu to "Mark all as read/Opened '."

-Multiple selection? What happens if I want to Forward/delete/move / "Mark as Opened" several items at once?

-Scroll buttons? What is the use of these buttons? They are useless when I can just drag my finger. They have rather to View Previous/Next email in the current folder (much more efficient use of screen real estate). This feature should be available for txt/pin/mms messages.

    KEYBOARD:

-Need for a button to hide (instead of going through the menu to hide) on all keyboards. * RESOLVED * (see below)

    TEXT SELECTION:

N ' is not very intuitive and feature is a little off, needs some work to make it more useful and less speculation.

Slide your finger from the top of the keyboard down, this will hide the keyboard in all screens

  • Synchronization to Smartphones blackBerry w / Desktop Manager deleted all events iCal

I just updated my Desktop Manager for Mac 1.0.3 (version 16) and on the first synchronization of my Curve 8900 (OS 4.6.1.231) he deleted all calendar events in my ical.  All events are on my BB, but none of them are on my iCal, and they used to synchronize on.  Is it possible to fix this?

    Here is the solution

It's an old fix for the same problem since a previous update, but it worked like a charm!  Use OPTION 1, and when you restart your Office Manager and to synchronize your information make sure you MERGE data from your ical has been allowed to go out!
