Smartphones Blackberry-blackBerry Enterprise Server
I get conflicting information on the BES... My provider (Verizon) says that I have to pay an additional sum of $20 a month on top of my map. My employer says that I only need a single license ($100) to my employer. This employer is huge, so it is difficult to get a definitive answer. I don't know if I need to one or the other or both. Each insists that they are right. Can you help me? I would like to really do this right the first time and be done with it. Thank you!
Hi and welcome to the Forums!
They are probably both right. BES is a set of servers located within the firm, for which a CAL is needed... so most likely the one-time fee of $100. But, to use your BB must exchange the traffic on the network of the carrier... where the monthly charges on their part. If the BB is provided by your employer, then let them sort and pay the Bills.
Best.

My BB torch is not connected to the Enterprise server or the Internet Service - How do I fix?
Have you tried a battery pull? Remove the battery, wait 30 seconds then reinsert it.
You are not connected to a corporate server (used for professional e-mail on BES) this will always see not connected.
If you're still having problems, you should contact your carrier because they can check on your service outages, etc.

BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry Enterprise Server
Dear friend,
How we record BES? And if I already save and forget my password and server address how to activate BES on my curve?
Hello
The company option works only for BES services... and those services know they are because they a BES admin (usually inside their business... BES is usually taken) talk to him. So if that's you, then go see your BES admins.
However, if you see only Enterprise in the e-mail Setup Wizard, then you do not have the correct data account registered to your BB to your provider. To use the Push RIM owner messaging capability, you must have an adequate data of your carrier plan. Carriers BIS (BlackBerry Internet Service) host for their BB users. In general, BIS is not available through generic data plans. Several ships make stop what is needed the Blackberry data plan. Whatever they call it, it is the carrier that delivers BIS users of BB - contact - the for assistance. Once you have a compatible BIS data plan on your BB (fees regardless of your carrier will charge, btw), then you will have personal email added to the e-mail Setup Wizard.
Good luck!

I have a Blackberry Bold 2 e-mail accounts (personal and business). Recently, I upgraded my Vodafone contract for only part of SIM and was able to keep my old SIM card. My personal email works fine but the business Edition should be re-activated. Instructions were to validate my password via the Blackberrry using the configuration or via the browser on my computer icon. Both options have failed because of the following:
BlackBerry: received message that Blackberry Enterprise server has not responded to my request. An error has occurred. There are 5 possible reasons being given and I do not know how to rectify one of them.
Browser on my computer: Incorrect ID or password. Made several attempts with different entries (don't know if my ID is my e-mail address and password for that or my Blackberry).
Can anyone suggest how I can do this move? Thank you.
Hello and welcome to the community!
I think you need to talk to Vodafone to ensure that your data plan still includes services / BES-level... such is required for full use of BES.
You should also talk to your BES admins... they, well, all control.
Good luck!

Hello!
I am currently a user of the Blackberry Curve 8520 and my carrier is FONIC Germany. After trying a few applications, such as the blackberry Messenger or blackberry app World and my email accounts, I discovered that none of them have worked, although the internet explore normal worked as usual.
After doing some research, I spotted the problem:
BlackBerry Internet Service: not connected
BlackBerry Enterprise Server: not connected
After calling my provider, they told me that they are unable to connect to the Blackberry Internet Service... They had really no idea what I was talking!
Is there anyway that I can connect my Blackberry to the service without the intercession of my career?
Thanks in advance!
Cervezaduff
The service is provided by your operator, then Yes, the only way to activate your blackberry completely is to change carriers.

Hello
BlackBerry does not provide the service. In fact, it is done by your carrier. Therefore, it would be best to contact your provider for assistance to ensure that they have received your payment and see if they have disabled anything on their end.

Hello
I have a Virgin Mobile USA blackberry. When I go to the Setup Wizard - configuration of e-mail the only option I get is "I want to create or add and address e-mail.
How can I get another option that says "I want to use a professional email with BlackBerry Enterprise Server account" back? This option was there before I activated the phone but is over now. No email account have been setup yet.
I try to use this phone with a business account. I have my Enterprise Activation password, but I have no place to go.
Thank you
Scott
Hi and welcome to the Forums!
Have you tried here:
- Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > Enterprise activation
scott852 wrote:

If the mentioned above is not in your menus, and then threatened to confirm. I suggest that you only contact your operator to make sure you have a BES account at the level of their share.

Hello
Can someone help me with the configuration of email? When I go to email accounts configuration page, it explans that I can activate my business account by entering my address and email activation password. I'd be happy to do it, if I had a company account, which I believe (could. wrong) is that companies are using. I'm just a regular user, do not not the phone via my company - but I can't see another option on the configuration page.
What Miss me? is there another way I can configure e-mail?
With respect, there are two services in the world that use carriers.
1 BIS (Blackberry Internet Service)
2 BES (Blackberry Enterprize Service)
You better call your carrier that what data plan I have. BIS or BES. Once confirmed, then I'll guide more according to your quiery than how to enable e-mail

BlackBerry Smartphones blackberry enterprise service: a must for sms and mms?
I posted a while back that I had a few problems sending sms; I had to take it every day to perform a soft reset before I was able to send sms the sim card and the battery. Finally got my people to service local bb upgrade to the latest version of the software that fixed all my problems... only now I can't send/receive multimedia messages (mms).
my network guys tell me it's because I don't have to subscribe to the company of BB, but I don't believe them because I already had no problem of all sending MMS until the recent software update. I've already owned a BB 8300 curve without company BB who had no problems with the execution of daily tasks - calls/sms/mms.
can anyone say about that?
Thank you very much in advance.
Yep, it's a container of the slow cooker. You don't need to get MMS, a business service messages.
However, you must have a carrier for MMS service book.
1. options > advanced > host Routing Table > Menu > register.
2. with the BlackBerry device powered time, remove battery for a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart
If still nothing...
3. return your books to your BIS service provider site.

Enterprise Server blackBerry Smartphones Torch No. 9810 option
Hello
Please help, I bought a Torch 9810, that does not give me the Enterprise Server option when setting up my mail.
Thank you
http://docs.BlackBerry.com/en/Admin/deliverables/24176/Activate_BIS_device_wirelessly_1490574_11.jsp
Snip
Once the application is running, an enterprise activation menu item appears under the menu advanced on the device (the menu item disappears when an administrator send service books to the device). Ask users to start the activation process using only demand for smartphones BlackBerry Enterprise activation.
then maybe on your carrier it will not be deleted but on AT & T it does when the BES plan not applied.

BlackBerry Smartphones Enterprise Server?
Hello!
I am very new to the blackberry community... My account is through AT & T, but I bought the 9300 from Amazon Wireless. I tried to get my email/facebook put in place. But in the Set Up Wizard, when I go to Set Up Email, it asks if I want to use a professional email with Blackberry Enterprise Server account. And if I click NEXT, it asks for a password.
What is this Enterprise Server? And how do I get my email on my phone!
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Enterprise activation Smartphones blackBerry 8900
I can't activate my Curve 8900 (new) to synchronize wirelessly with Outlook.
We have a Blackberry Enterprise Server and I was delivered with the (new) password.
I entered my e-mail address and password, but it gives an error message that says "contact your administrator" which is not really intuitive. I also tried adding the details of the server but had the same problem.
The first time I synchronized via my laptop and it worked, then when I removed the cable and experienced what precedes, I even if I did something wrong during installation so I wiped the blackberry and tried again. Same problem as above and I have not connected to the laptop yet.
I checked with our company, which has confirmed that my SIM card is enabled for data. The collection starts when I put it in an old Blackberry device.
Any advice will be really welcome.
Thank you
Jacques
Just got the word from Vodafone that the account has not been activated correctly... Thanks for your advice

BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry and Smartphones are interchangeable on e-mail networks?
I am a user of BB Curve which is changing jobs to another employer who uses the Motorola what. Can I use my curve if the employer does not use a Blackberry corporate email server? In other words, the BlackBerry and Smartphone are interchangeable on the e-mail systems?
You can use the curve not BlackBerry Enterprise server. But you can use BlackBerry Internet Service and integrate professional email address via POP/IMAP/OWA and still continue to use BB. Your IT will know if they have access POP/IMAP/OWA.
