Smartphones Blackberry Curve 9300 for blackBerry browser does not?

Okay, so when I click on the browser, it comes up with a message saying "Eception exception: webkit shared instance unavailable: null". To exit the application, I have to press the "End call" button then it happens again with the same message. Other applications on my phone requiring internet, work always correctly - I just can't use the current browser. Any help?

Hello and welcome to the community!

There is virtually no diagnosis of those - they are the equivalent of random errors in Windows for which trace the root cause is futile. Basically, here's the last out in the programming code - some event occurred for which there is no event handler in the code. The patch is an update of the code that handles the event... but, again, what is the event is almost impossible. So, there are a few things to try:

Sometimes, the code simply is damaged and needs to be updated - just like a reboot:

  • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

If it doesn't boot properly, then you need to try Safe Mode:

  • KB17877 How to start a BlackBerry smartphone in safe mode

There may be a code updated to the value of the carrier - check out them through this Portal:

The toughest possible causes are a bad application behave. To find it, there are two options. Is to see if you can read the log file:

Go to the home screen. Hold down the "alt" key and type "lglg". (You won't see anything as you type). This will bring up the log file. Scroll down (probably a lot of pages) until you see a line that says "eception execption. Click on this line. The application name will be in the info. Alternative methods to implement the newspapers are in this KB:

  • KB05349 How to activate, view, and extract the the event logs on a BlackBerry smartphone

The other method is to remove the apps one at a time, wait a while between the two (I usually recommend a week), until the problem stops... revealing the offending application. Yet another method is to recharge the BB OS itself, leaving little time between the addition of other applications on the BB in order to be able to determine exactly what is the cause.

Good luck and let us know!

  • Blackberry Smartphones blackBerry browser does not

can someone tell me please how to fix my browser curves its keep from freezing and to say I a Java exception and goes no further

If you can get in the browser, you can try to clean the cache, etc., among the options of the browser.

If you can't, try to get the browser in safe mode options.

do a battery pull.  When the red light goes on the front of the phone, hold down the back button all the time while the phone is in boot.  When initialization is complete, the phone goes into safe mode.
    http://BTSC.webapps.BlackBerry.com/BTSC/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB17877

now, try to clean the browser and do an another battery pull.

How long it has past?  have you installed an app recently noticed this?

If this isn't the case, you can reload your software to see if that will get rid of the error.

  • Classic blackBerry browser does not

I have classic, the browser does not, the pages will not load. any other apps are no longer works. I restarted using the flight up down buttons and the off button. I wish it had a battery out! Help, please!

So, this only happens on your wifi at home, but not when you connect anywhere else? That pretty much answers the question. There is a problem with your wifi at home.

The crash of the browser Facebook message is a totally separate issue and has nothing to do with the connection data or wifi.

  • Smartphones blackBerry BIS does not mail for the last 1 - 2w?

BlackBerry 9000, Rogers. Mail server is an IMAP server that I run, running cyrus IMAPd.

At least a good year, he pushed email instantly to my BB. My server supports IMAP IDLE, and the BIS connection seemed to take advantage of this. Deliver the e-mail was almost instantaneous, and I've always had the buzzing blackberry at least as fast as the e-mail appeared on my desktop computer.

In the past 1 - 2w, it was push e-mail, he acted in the famous mode 'to interrogate 15 minutes. " Of course, which is nothing near as desirable.

I didn't have any (known) server configuration changes, and my desktop e-mail clients seem to use IDLE happily as always. I checked with a manual session IDLE is still supported by my imap server.

Rogers/RIM change something? Any chance they intend to change it back soon?

On your BlackBerry device, go to:

    1. options > advanced > host Routing Table > Menu > register.

2 send your service from your carrier's BIS site books:
    Of your handheld: http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB15402

Go to the Personal Email Set Up icon and sign. Then under help!, select Service books and select send service books.

    Your desktop PC: http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB02830
North American carriers - scroll down to select your carrier
Carriers worldwide - find your operator from the list

    3. with the BlackBerry device powered time, remove battery for a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart. This restart, even if you have already done this, is often necessary to install the service books.

If it does not help after one day, remove and re-add your email to the BIS accounts.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry 8520 does not charge when the battery is empty

I use my blackberry curve 8520 for 5 months before selling it to a friend. He forgot to charge the battery, and now my Blackberry is empty and does not load. I tried to load a full battery of half and it works. The phone is not responding to synchronize eather. Does anyone have a solution?

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

BBs will not work without minimum charge. I recommend to leave it on the charger for at least 2 hours before trying anything.

In addition, these batteries do not like exhaust totally... is it possible to make the battery unusable if they are drained. So, if she will not accept a charge, then, is probably not good longer, and a spare battery must be obtained.

You need to develop that little more... it's kinda a sparse description.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones blackBerry 9810 does not start correctly

My 9810 does not completely start and don't connect to my desktopmanager no more... it opens a screen where I see 'blackberry platform 5.0.0.469'... and I use a blackberry 9810 with an os7... Please, what should I do... It's annoyingly awkward... Thank you

You are able to reboot your device in SafeMode as shown in KB17877?

I guess, because it is taken in a reboot cycle, when you connect to the desktop software it does not have a stable connection to reinstall your software?

If this is the case, remove the battery and keep it off when you connect to the desktop software. You will get a pop up that the device cannot connect and there should be buttons retry, update and cancel. Select Update and you will then be able to reinstall the latest version of the device software.

When the load progresses, you will see a step that says "waiting for initialization of the devices '. At this point, insert the battery and recharging must complete.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry Messenger - does not

OK, I wonder if someone can help me here,

I have a Blackberry Curve 8530, and I installed on Blackberry messenger, but for the past few hours, he did not send the messeges and began to irritate me, I made 3 firing battery, without result, I uninstalled and re installed and once again no effect, and for now, I am seriously considering Jacking it taking the phone to the store and demanding a new contract because it is F * KED what is the point of having a blackberry you can not to use BBM, hell that's supposed to be serving, hell, I pay a lot for my contract and its supposed to be included, then, what do I do then, take back and say 'give a better phone' or demand a refund of RIM and BB for the loss of use?

    Comments and suggestions please

Do you have a BlackBerry data plan? A standard data plan will not be enough for BBM access, this is the first place to check. If the phone has done this since you guessed it, confirm that you are on a BlackBerry data plan with your carrier.

The next step if you have confirmed that you have access to a BlackBerry data plan is to go to Options > Advanced Options > host routing, Table and then press the BB Menu button and select Save now. Then, go to settings > e-mail settings, login if necessary, and then press the BB Menu, select Service books and resend your Service books. If you have problems with this, call your carrier as they can do for you.

    I hope this helps!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry Protect does not end on Pearl

Pearl 9100 wife was struggling to save on BB Protect software, lately. It used to work perfectly fine before, but now it seems to start the backup, and then he abandoned after about 90% completion. Also, the backup is extremely slow. The Pearl is connected via my home Wi - Fi router and we connect broadband 25 Mbit/s, so there should be no problem of speed at all, I think.

Hmmm... OK... the next thing to try... the safe boot mode:

    • KB17877 How to start a smartphone BlackBerry in Mode safe

It will take several attempts to get the combination of keys ESC (press/release/hold) OK, so be patient. When properly in Safe Mode, try and take a BB Protect of backup. If it works, then well... think what happened just before this behavior started? A new application? An update? A theme? Something else? Think carefully that the slightest change can be causal... and try to undo all that was.

If it doesn't, then still more drastic measures would be ensuites online (p. ex., wiping, reload the operating system, reload the OS 'skeleton', more drastic wiping, etc..).

At some point, you will need to decide if you want to pass official support, you would get from your mobile service provider, which can escalate your case RIM.

Good luck and let us know!
