I am a BB user.

Local people telecom I took limited BIS plan IE if I exceed 3 MB of use per month.

I have u/stand is E-mail only plan working BIS IE not on wifi.

So in order to limit my consumption of 3 MB for my web browsing I use wifi, I have connection

both at the office and at home.

The question is how to configure my BB it uses Wi-Fi to surf the internet and not eating

My limit of 3 MB.

Its very simple. If you want to browse the internet, switch wifi :-) There is no automatic option to set the connection to different services.

    • Open your BlackBerry browser.
    • Press Menu > Options.
    • Click Cache operations and CLEAR the cache of the history and content.
    • Now, do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry this way: with smart BlackBerry poweredphone, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart.

Please let us know if that helps.

  • Configuration of the browser for Smartphones blackBerry Internet Browser Choice only?

I've just updated to the new OS. I tried to upgrade an application, and he said that I had to use the BB browser. I went to change the config in the browser and now I have no options but the Internet browser. Before I had the choice of IE, Firefox, and BB. I got it on IE the last time I was in the Config of the browser. I press the menu key and tap internet browser and still no option. I tried to find a solution for this but had no luck so far. Any suggestions?

Hi and welcome to the Forums...

What version update you? There are different versions for different carriers.

You did pass, go in the browser,

BBKey > Options > browser Configuration

If so, this selection of albums has only two. More below on this page is "Browser Identification", where you can select FF or IE.

    Hope that helps!

  • Smartphones blackBerry Internet browser does not

The Web browser on my phone did not work. Whenever I try to load a page, it is not complete loading. What could be the problem?

Try this: open the browser, press the Menu key > Options > Cache and clear cache operations.

Now restart: with the BlackBerry device powered on, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart.

After that return, you are running, try the browser again.

  • Smartphones blackBerry Internet browser does not support the different ports of problem...

I'm a computer programmer who needs access to certain IP addresses on my network from the outside.  He kick back for me: 8080 unsupported.  Clues as to why this is happening and y at - it a cure?

    Thank you

    Mike cope

This document has got to be updated. Port 8080 is the port that I am connected. I opened the administration remotely on my router, which was on port 8080. I then tried to connect via my "BOLD". Note that WiFi was off. It connected properly.

Note that I was not using https. Your using https? Maybe is the combination limited?

I used 4.6.0.266 (451), in which case there might be a difference.

  • 'Blackberry Internet Browsing Service' to push the service on device with BES

Hi, expert, from this link: http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-Push-Development/Push-registration-returns-rc-1000..., we have the Service book called 'Blackberry Internet Browsing Service' or 'BIS-B '. In service to push page, I saw that too.

It worried me a little. Let's support our agent for device with BES with Push using the blackberry infrastructure. "Blackberry Internet Browsing Service" will still be available for the device associated with BES? If this isn't the case, it would be great forced to use infrastructure Blackberry push service.  I tesed on my device that is associated with a BES, but I'm not sure it will work for all cases. Any confirm on that?

Pushing to BES only devices is done via the Server BES not BIS push server. This is why companies like the solution BlackBerry because they control their own devices and have the option to only allow the 3rd third party to interact with devices. Some companies allow BIS books on device of service and others not - his company policy.

    Hello

I have a Bold 9900, v7.0.0.585 and Sunday I lost the connection to the Enterprise Server and Blackberry Internet Service. Displaying status is "not connected". Hello and welcome to the community!

I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    (1) registry HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    (2) Service reference books

    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then you contact your mobile provider for formal support... After all, it's their network with which your BB is to have trouble communicating.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry Internet Service account

    Hello world

Well, despite the try, this beginner could not get his BlackBerry has returned to the shop and returned to the use of his sad little nokia. I wanted to ask you one last small question before saying goodbye.

When I first set up my Blackberry, I created a Blackberry Internet service online account. For the life of me, I don't remember exactly why I did this, but in any case, I went to the login screen Blackberry Internet Service (in an attempt to remove the account now that I have returned my phone), but it doesn't recognize my username or my password. It's not a big deal, but I'm a tidy soul and wanted to delete the account. My question is this: I erased my Blackberry before returning and have subsequently changed the passwords for my email accounts: if I still have an account somewhere BIS, Blackberry, in theory, will always have a link to my email accounts? I hope not.

A special thanks to JSanders who helped me when I had problems.

    Now, bye

    Eve

    Hello

You did almost everything you need to clean things up. Change your real email passwords will prevent BIS to access these accounts, even if a BIS account should always exist. To actually eliminate the BIS account, you must contact the support by which you created it... carriers manage BIS accounts for their customers. See this KB for all steps will need to be made when you transfer a used BB:

    • KB05099 Steps to take before selling or after the purchase of a used BlackBerry smartphone

As to why you first create an BIS account, see this FAQ:

The last account in the list is the BIS-level account... you have BIS to enable these services.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones BlackBerry Internet Service and Blackberry Enterprise server: not connected

    Hello!

I am currently a user of the Blackberry Curve 8520 and my carrier is FONIC Germany. After trying a few applications, such as the blackberry Messenger or blackberry app World and my email accounts, I discovered that none of them have worked, although the internet explore normal worked as usual.

After doing some research, I spotted the problem:

    BlackBerry Internet Service: not connected

    BlackBerry Enterprise Server: not connected

After calling my provider, they told me that they are unable to connect to the Blackberry Internet Service... They had really no idea what I was talking!

Is there anyway that I can connect my Blackberry to the service without the intercession of my career?

    Thanks in advance!

    Cervezaduff

The service is provided by your operator, then Yes, the only way to activate your blackberry completely is to change carriers.

    Connected to BlackBerry: give up.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry Internet Service

I got a message saying I need to update the password to any of my emails via the Blackberry Internet Serviceaddress.

Maybe it's stupid, but I can't find the journal to the screen on the BB site...

Can someone give me the link?  Sorry I'm new on this.

    Thank you

The BIS website is your carrier web page, sign in to your account and update the password, this procedure is only for hotmail accounts.

If you have mail setup icon on your device you can do from there.

  • Smartphones blackBerry Internet cant access...

Since yesterday afternoon, I am unable to access an internet browser or open any link on my torch.  I have not turned on wiFi.

The device seems almost to 'freeze' when I tried this action

Any ideas?  I have cycled off and on again...

    Welcome to the forums, Mac!

Many pesky problems like the one you describe can be solved by a hard reset, which means removing the battery when the device is turned on.  We will therefore try and see if that fixes what ails your device.

Remove the battery for a few minutes, then replace it and see what things look like when the device is restarted.

  • Hotmail of Smartphones blackBerry through browser problems 9000

I always accessed my account hotmail via the web browser so could write emails, send and respond. Yesterday for the first time I can no longer respond to emails or write new ones in my hotmail account. Strange.

There is nothing wrongwith my hotmail account because I just used in on my laptop to check the problem therefore lies in the blackberry service legacy, software or internet through the BB.

Someone had the same problem or ideas?

    Thank you very much

    Phil

It may be that HotMail did something with the code of their Web site that has changed the way it interacts with mobile browsers. You may need to adjust the settings of your BB browser to find all that it could be that the Web site requires. There are a lot of settings, including the ability for your BB identify the site as a BB, IE or FF browser – which often gets pesky to work sites. Sorry, but there is no way to give you the exact settings, you can set everything simply play with them (in an orderly process) until find you the right combination. My guess is that they removed the possibility of a mobile browser to do what you do - and could be corrected by adjustment of your BB browser to identify as IE or FF. MY HUMBLE OPINION

  • Setting up of Smartphones blackBerry Internet while abroad

I am currently abroad in Austria and I'm trying to set up internet on my blackberry "BOLD". I already bought a SIM with Orange to and paid for an internet package. However, I still can't internet on my phone. Data services are on and the sim card is active. My phone is not locked. Anyone know what may be the problem?

    Thank you

Hello and welcome to the community!

So, by what you say, you intend to have full BIS via the Austrian carrier, then you must also be sure that your home carrier frees your BB PIN of their system of BIS. A BB PIN can exist in a single carrier system BIS at the same time... it is often automatic when you do as you have done, but sometimes not... then, contact your home provider to make sure that their BIS system has released your BB PIN.

    Good luck!
