Setting up of Smartphones blackBerry Internet while abroad

I am currently abroad in Austria and I'm trying to set up internet on my blackberry "BOLD". I already bought a SIM with Orange to and paid for an internet package. However, I still can't internet on my phone. Data services are on and the sim card is active. My phone is not locked. Anyone know what may be the problem?

Thank you

Hello and welcome to the community!

So, by what you say, you intend to have full BIS via the Austrian carrier, then you must also be sure that your home carrier frees your BB PIN of their system of BIS. A BB PIN can exist in a single carrier system BIS at the same time... it is often automatic when you do as you have done, but sometimes not... then, contact your home provider to make sure that their BIS system has released your BB PIN.

Good luck!

    Hello world

Well, despite the try, this beginner could not get his BlackBerry has returned to the shop and returned to the use of his sad little nokia. I wanted to ask you one last small question before saying goodbye.

When I first set up my Blackberry, I created a Blackberry Internet service online account. For the life of me, I don't remember exactly why I did this, but in any case, I went to the login screen Blackberry Internet Service (in an attempt to remove the account now that I have returned my phone), but it doesn't recognize my username or my password. It's not a big deal, but I'm a tidy soul and wanted to delete the account. My question is this: I erased my Blackberry before returning and have subsequently changed the passwords for my email accounts: if I still have an account somewhere BIS, Blackberry, in theory, will always have a link to my email accounts? I hope not.

A special thanks to JSanders who helped me when I had problems.

    Now, bye

    Eve

    Hello

You did almost everything you need to clean things up. Change your real email passwords will prevent BIS to access these accounts, even if a BIS account should always exist. To actually eliminate the BIS account, you must contact the support by which you created it... carriers manage BIS accounts for their customers. See this KB for all steps will need to be made when you transfer a used BB:

    • KB05099 Steps to take before selling or after the purchase of a used BlackBerry smartphone

As to why you first create an BIS account, see this FAQ:

The last account in the list is the BIS-level account... you have BIS to enable these services.

    Good luck!

  • Servers blackBerry Smartphones Blackberry Internet and business not connected

    Hello

I have a Bold 9900, v7.0.0.585 and Sunday I lost the connection to the Enterprise Server and Blackberry Internet Service. Displaying status is "not connected". I tried removing the battery several times and also tried the SIM card in my old Blackberry phone but get the same question. I did a test of activation of the radio and got

Hello and welcome to the community!

I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    (1) registry HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    (2) Service reference books

    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then you contact your mobile provider for formal support... After all, it's their network with which your BB is to have trouble communicating.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones BlackBerry Internet Service and Blackberry Enterprise server: not connected

    Hello!

I am currently a user of the Blackberry Curve 8520 and my carrier is FONIC Germany. After trying a few applications, such as the blackberry Messenger or blackberry app World and my email accounts, I discovered that none of them have worked, although the internet explore normal worked as usual.

After doing some research, I spotted the problem:

    BlackBerry Internet Service: not connected

    BlackBerry Enterprise Server: not connected

After calling my provider, they told me that they are unable to connect to the Blackberry Internet Service... They had really no idea what I was talking!

Is there anyway that I can connect my Blackberry to the service without the intercession of my career?

    Thanks in advance!

The service is provided by your operator, then Yes, the only way to activate your blackberry completely is to change carriers.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry Internet Service

I got a message saying I need to update the password to any of my emails via the Blackberry Internet Serviceaddress.

Maybe it's stupid, but I can't find the journal to the screen on the BB site...

Can someone give me the link?  Sorry I'm new on this.

    Thank you

The BIS website is your carrier web page, sign in to your account and update the password, this procedure is only for hotmail accounts.

If you have mail setup icon on your device you can do from there.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry Internet Service does not work because of alleged network problem

Service provider changed APN on cellular network of 'internet' to 'without limitation' and since then, BIS does not work and the host Routing Tables are empty. The AFN was changed no doubt, but still not BIS. Changing TCP/IP settings had also no effect. Service provider has now said that RIM should fix things, one server RIM and asked this, but it doesn't seem to be any progress and whenever I call customer service, I have to explain the whole story. Swopper SIM with another phone with works by BIS, so the phone itself is very good. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

It is now almost a month and there is simply no progress to solve the problem. I was told that RIM would contact me directly, what has not happened. Should I cancel BIS on that number and activate it on another?

This seems unnecessary, but may be the only solution?

Hi all, the problem was solved today by a brilliant person who found the AFN is not correctly set up - after so! many technical support confirms that it was fine.  I guess it may have as some misspellings that are so obvious, you can just find them. After more than a month, I'm just relievd and grateful!

    • Open your BlackBerry browser.
    • Press Menu > Options.
    • Click Cache operations and CLEAR the cache of the history and content.
    • Now, do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry this way: with smart BlackBerry poweredphone, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart.

Please let us know if that helps.

I have a data plan, so this isn't a problem, but whenever I try to log on I get this message "sorry, cannot conigtue your session.» Please log in again. "I tried several times, have sent the registration again then rebooted nothing doesn't. Help, please. I'm tired of this works is not after my accident of blackberry about 20 times in the last 5 days.

Hi, was able to do steps 1 and 2 and deleted the service book, but I can add the service book as always, it detects my email address and requires me to login, but there will not accept my password.

The password he needs is not your password by e-mail. It is rather your password BIS, that you may or may not have implemented with the same credentials as your email address. If you do not know your BIS account credentials, then you must contact your service provider to manage the account for you.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry internet will not work

So I had to get my phone replaced in October, because I spilled a drink on him.

I got a new, but since I did not access the internet, even if we pay £5 a month to get this package.

Whenever I try to use the internet, it is said, your device does not have an accessible wifi connection, or something similar.

So we called Orange several times, and they say that my blackberry pin code has not been changed on my account, and I need to do. But I have no idea how?

And when we jumped in the store, they said they couldn't help me because he had nothing to do with them.

Would appreciate help or ideas regarding this.

    Thank you.

Connect on App World.  To do this, you will need a BlackBerry ID.  As soon as you connect from your new phone, App World will recognize that this is a new phone and you will be asked if you want to make your new PIN the PIN code that is associated with your account.  You are going to answer 'Yes' and BAM... problem solved!

I hope I've been helpful to you.

PS When you came to the store, they should have you said what I just told you.  I'm tired enough to hear about carriers who do not know how to properly handle the phones they sell.

The question is how to configure my BB it uses Wi-Fi to surf the internet and not eating

  • BlackBerry Smartphones BlackBerry Internet Service blocked

Someone bought me a brand new 8320 online recently, I had the service internet blackberry on Monday, September 25. Last night, I realize account I couldn't connect to BIM, so I called my provider and they told me that RIM has blocked my phone service because the IMEI number I have for my phone is actually the IMEI for a BB 8310. How is that possible?

Patty strange things occur. If you can not register on your corporate network, then the device is of no use to you and you may want to return the unit to the seller for a refund.

Otherwise, THE wearer must release the STEM from the old account so that it can be used on your.

That's what it seems to be... but if your operator is said the device is different model... strange, indeed.

  • Setting up of Smartphones blackBerry email, Wifi & Bluetooth

Hi I just got a new Blackberry Curve.

I tried to set up my email but on-site Assistant, it only allows me to set up a work account and I want to add personal email accounts.

Also the bluetooth doesn't seem to work because I tried to send me stuff from my other phone and it kept failing.  I managed to use the bluetooth with my other phones in the past that the phone with it connected fine, so it must be a problem with the Blackberry.

Thanks in advance if you can help

Have all together now.  Thank you

It seems that you have not only to activate the Blackberry service, but you must also configure an e-mail through your network provider to get your own personal emails added on.  That add you on through this email account with your network provider.  He likes Yahoo and Gmail, but hotmail seems to have problems since I do not use that much other that to work I'll stick right with Yahoo and Gmail.

Oddly enough my bluetooth is on now as well and function as sorted got email accounts.
