• BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry Torch synchronize with iCal

  For some strange reason my Blackberry Torch will not synchronize with iCal.  I have new items entered on iCal which don't tranasfer despite the fact that I have synced to the phone with my Mac.  I am Lion, Blackberry desktop version 2.3.1 and I iCloud off on my Mac.  I tried the device Option forget, deleted iCal calendar items and to set up a new calendar and events imported again.  Still no luck.

• Conflict of blackBerry Smartphones BlackBerry Desktop Manager with Sprint Smartview

  I was using BlackBerry Desktop Manager (BDM) 4.6 under Windows Vista Home Premium 64 - bit for my BlackBerry "BOLD" syncing with my contacts, calendar and tasks Outlook 2007 files. I used Verizon VZ Access Manager with a Pantech USB modem to access the Internet. No problems.

  Recently, I had to switch from Verizon to Sprint for Internet access and use now version Sprint SmartView 1.20.0016.0 with a Sierra Wireless Compass 597 EVDO Modem #2 (model #C597), assigned to Modem Port COM13. SmartView is started, it stops the BDM. If I take the BDM with SmartView running, the BDM will open. I can start the synchronization configured, but the program stops after a few seconds - not error messages. If I stop the SmartView program, the BDM is executed without incident (although it is very slow).

  I uninstalled 4.6 BDM and downloaded BDM 4.7, to try to solve this problem. Unfortunately, the BDM needs access to the Internet to put in place the initial synchronization settings and I can not always run the SmartView and the BDM.

  Does anyone have advice for me? I would like to be able to run both programs at the same time - and really NEED for initial installation. I've seen other users have reported the same issue in other forums, but have not seen all of the posted solutions. Thanks for all the proposals/solutions.

  This problem has been resolved in Sprint v2.22.0042.0.

  My Blackberry Bold 9900 stopped sync with Gmail. I only synchronize e-mail, contacts, or calendar. I mainly use Gmail site on my PC to read and delete emails. I have more than 70 unread e-mails on my Blackberry that were already deleted from the Gmail Web site. The option 'balance' has no effect. I can receive new Gmail on Blackberry messages, but if I have to 'Mark as read' or 'Clear' an email actions does not sync with the Gmail Web site. The same is true if I 'Mark as read' or 'Delete' an email on Gmail Web site. The actions are not synchronized with the Blackberry. I have 2 Android devices and a Windows Phone that syncs with Gmail without a problem. I just have the problem on my Blackberry.

  My device information:

  BlackBerry Bold 9900

  7.1 bundle 2435 (v7.1.0.862, platform 5.1.0.662)

  Reconciliation of BlackBerry e-mail settings:

  Delete on: mailbox & Pocket

  Wireless reconcile: checked

  On conflicts: mailbox WINS

  Gmail settings:

  Inbox, and garbage are included in IMAP feeds

  Also, I tried to delete Gmail from Blackberry account. When I did he told me he would remove all Gmail messages from the phone but it moved all the Gmail unread messages in my main mailbox. (I keep Gmail and Exchange separate emails on my Blackberry). It is also impossible to select multiple messages at the same time to remove if they are not in a consecutive order.

  With a strong carrier network (for example, not only WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message from your BB... Please wait just before moving on to the next step):

  1) register HRT

  • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
  • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

  2) Remove and return Service books

  • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
  • If you do not have access CMIME, continue deleting
  • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
  • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

  3) restart

  • With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes.
  • See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

  I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then you should try remove and re-add your configurations for the relevant accounts. Otherwise, you should contact your mobile provider for formal support.

  Yesterday morning my phone completely dead, when I put it on charge a battery sign appears on a black screen with a red cross through it.   Your battery is drained. You can try to connect more time (Yes, I mean more than a day), if the battery continue to receive charges, you will be able to use it normally. Otherwise, you will need to consider ordering a new battery.

  I just bought the new speaker phone VM-605 Visor BB where I quite impressed with. The FM transmitter works great except for one thing.

  While listening to music through the music of BB player, it works without any problem. But if you want to listen to music from Pandora, the fm transmitter will stop after 1 min after listening to. It States in the manual that if no audio stream continuously, it will turn off after 1 min.

  Anyone has any ideas for that? Any help would be appreciated.

  Hello world. I'm about to buy a "BOLD", but before I would like someone I hope confirm something for me please (this is the reason why I will stick my iPhone on eBay)

  When I have a pair of wired headphones, alert alert messages and phone call come through the speakers and the headphones. The iPhone only gives alerts text through the headset if they are plugged in and forever, I forgot to unplug the I miss a lot of important texts. I know that I could remember to unplug the headphones, but my brain is old and tired and I'd forget 9 times out of 10!

  Normal mode: ring phone calls through loudspeakers only with headphones attached.  Text messages to SMS alerts through the main speakers only.  BlackBerry Messenger depends on profile settings > advanced > Edit, but the default for normal / off Holster for a new message is 'none', then you may want to change this setting.  In the default case on vibrate.  BB Alert Messenger is audible through the loudspeakers in or out of the default case in Normal mode. It seems that his BB Messenger alerts and new Messages only through the main speakers in Normal mode, but I had a problem receiving messages out of the 8830 World Edition test unit I was using to send to my AT & T "BOLD"... probably because I was trying to send through Sprint.  : - þ

  I had my 8320 for 5 months now... everything was fine until today.  I got a white screen with a hourglass... so I removed the battery and put it again after 30 seconds.  Then 'bam' nothing... no screen at all... just a flashing red light.  I came home and plugged in the charger, thinking that would solve it. Maybe the battery was dead, but he charged for six hours and then I got a green light, but no screen.  Help!

  If you have only had the phone for 5 months, you should be able to take back and get a new phone.

  I hope you made a backup and you can restore your data. If you are unable to return it, you will need to reload the operating system of the device.
