  I need to load the metadata to Essbase to a relational database.
  Essbase: 9.3, Oracle 9i, ODI 10.1.3.5.0
  I have a dimensional table contains the data in the Scenario dimension. The table has 3 columns: code, alias, consolidation.
  Example of 2 lines:
  Effective law-
  BDG budget-
  
  I created a rule file load_scn.rul to update the scenario dimension in my essbase cube and at the launch of the console of administration services it does not work. Each Member has his alias and it is sign of such consolidation as specified in the table.
  
  In ODI
  I created an essbase data store, a data store for my table and an interface. The interface uses the knowledge "IKM SQL for Hyperion Essbase (metadata)" module and the load_scn.rul of State of charge.
  When I run the interface, it will end successfully, but when I check the Essbase outline, the two members were loaded with the name of name of Member composed of all 3 columns in the table dimensional as a single string line!
  I have a member named ' law, real, + "and another called ' bdg, budget,-'."
  Members have no alias and peacebuilding is the default ('+') and not '-' as shown in the dimensional table.
  
  Has anyone of you had this problem? If so, how to solve it?

  Sounds like in the rule under load in the IKM options you have to have the separator rules comma value and data > defined in the tab, replace it with commas in the rule of data source properties.

  I recently bought a keyboard, sidewinder x 6 Microsoft because of the macro capability, but when I type macros waiting time is recorded and the only way of 'I' can remove this waiting time is to remove every time waiting and it becomes real tedious, so I would just ask if it is possible to change this timeout to zero as the default value.

  In our hyperion planning application cloud 11.1.2.3. We get an error that "the search pattern does not match a member seeking a member in the member selection option in the smart ad-hoc analysis.

  If you are certain that the model and looking the way you do is correct and have tried and tested with other members also... then this could be a bug... Check with 11.2.5.200

  1. log in to the console Essbase Administration Services (EAS).
  2. go to the Essbase server.
  3. right-click Security, and then select "refresh security of Shared Services.

  Try to access OAS and check.

• Hyperion S9 OpenLDAP service starts do not

  Over this last weekend, he had some problems with our software that has been upgraded from backup. Thus, we cannot get the Hyperion S9 OpenLDAP has started. When we try the serivce just hangs and does not end. We have run for 30 minutes without success. We have tried to reconfigure the SSP, but looming as well. We tried to restart the server, but who also weighs trying to start the LDAP service. Can anyone offer any ideas on what we can try to get this service running?

• Import/Export xls error

  I am facing a problem with import/export of xls files.
  Once I selected the system file does return no response even if the file is very small (about 70 KB).
  Sometimes time workbench and web.
  Furthermore, I can not for something export to Excel (i.e. categories)

  Looks like you have an installed Excel add-in. Remove any SmartView Hyperion/Essbase Add-ins of FDM Excel server.

  Great beginning and ensure without supplements are there and try again your process.

  If add-ins to exist, it will be the blocking behavior you're describing.

  Support FDM team is first-rate and Metalink entries are really good too.

  Decided to make a restore point and then got a new Error 1316 regarding Windows Installer

  problem.  Downloaded and executed the http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2438651/ even though it says it's for 64-bit

  machines. It worked perfectly on the 32-bit computer and my laptop now works perfectly and installed Sprint

  SmartView software without any problems.

• Refresh of SmartView Custom Macro

  Environment: SV 11.1.2.2

  Project: Custom refresh Macro

  Problem: Users access multiple applications (data sources)

  Details: I'm working on a refresh macro that is capable of holding of the Nations Unies/PW the user for the duration of the instance of excel. I'm removing the problem of users to continuously enter their Unies/PW Nations during the working day. I have a solution to this problem (Custom connect buttons in the excel Ribbon) but I encountered a problem when I started working on the refresh macro. The user is connected to two applications (APP1 and APP2) using the same Nations Unies/PW and the two connections time-out.

  Situation 1: The user opens an excel workbook pointing to APP1 and SV asking the user to connect (SV enter Nations Unies/PW box)

  Situation 2: The user opens an excel workbook and press the button to refresh custom macro.

  I would like the system to enter the Nations Unies/PW the user in Situation 1 and in Situation 2 will automatically connect to the correct data source with the Unies/PW Nations previously entered automatically. Ideas? Thank you!

  I worked on it a little. It looks like the spreadsheet stores the required data source somewhere. If I use HypConnect (empty, gblHFMUserName, gblHFMPassword, empty), the system knows what app to connect to. I have not tested it yet but it works with the usual scenarios. Let me know if you see problems. Here it is in the sub:

• Hyperion Planning Forms opens is not in Smartview

  I created two new forms Hyperion Planning Using Variables of Substitution Essbase.  They make in the workspace with no problems.  But in trying to open with SmartView, I get a (undefinable) error message that explains the shape is not valid.  Have never seen this before and am at a loss for what is the cause.  I changed to hardcode the 'year' and the 'Scenario' instead of SubVars, but still does not.  I use the 11.1.2.3.500 Version.  I have attached the error I get below.

  For a test, can you copy these forms with a different name, avoid the slashes in the naming convention and give it a try...

• Unable to download SmartView.exe (11.1.2.2.500) of Hyperion workspace

  Dear experts Hyperion:

  I wasn't able to download SmartView.exe of Hyperion, workspace-> 'Tools'-> 'Install' more after I've upgraded to the smartview 11.1.2.2.500 version. I followed the upgrade document and put the new version of smartview.exe in the next Hyperion Server directory

  \Oracle\Middleware\EPMSystem11R1\common\epmstatic\wspace\SmartView

  and restart the services. When I connect to, click on the 'Tools'-> 'Install' workspace and get the error says "unable to find a version of the runtime to run this application. I have no problem with the old version of smartview.exe, who had no problem to download on the workspace.

• HFM - SmartView - Macro - download data

  Does anyone have a macro model to submit Excel data within HFM? I am familiar with the old Essbase Addin and how to submit data, but the HFM - Smartview is new to me. We have a budget model that are manually load in several entities HFM and want to automate the process. We tried to use FDM, but it took too long to load.
  
  Question:
  -Can we use the functions of SmartView (HsSetValue()) as part of the macro? or do you need to use the free form? The worksheet that we use now has the functions of HsSetValue already built. I would use if possible. If not, is there a tutorial or explanation of how to format the data and load it? Are their other steps that need to be completed?

  The company today, we would often use macros to automatically open/submit/close hundreds of files at once. You can also do this with the HsSetValue command.

  A few tips:
  Paste the .bas code into a module in your macro

  Code below allows you to use the refresh and the bar small objects such as submit:

• Hyperion toolbar disappears in Smartview

  Someone had problems with the Hyperion button on the tool bar disappearing in Smartview? We are currently on version 11.1.1.1.1 and that you use Excel 2003 and a couple of our users have recently had a problem with the touch of Hyperion that normally appears in the tool bar endangered. Normally, it reappears the next day but I have a user that it won't amount to. She has uninstalled and reinstalled Smartview but still no luck. Does anyone have any ideas as to what we can try and what could be the cause to do so?

• "Hyperion" menu item does not appear in Excel after the Installation of SmartView

  Hi all! When I installed first SmartView, everything was ok - menu item "Hyperion" appeared in Excel and I have established the connection to planning and has worked with the data in Excel with success. Then, once I got to select all the data passing through Ctrl + A, in the form of data open in Excel and tried to copy it to a different worksheet in the same workbook, Excel threw a message about a serious error and informed me that the add-on of Hyperion would disappear. So it has been removed actually. When I reinstall Smart view, the installation went well but the menu item "Hyperion" did not appear in Excel again. I tried to reinstall Excel both SmartView and restarted the system several times, but still the Hyperion menu item does not appear in Excel. Can someone me hint on how to solve this problem? Thank you very much in advance!
