SMS in Lookout 6.5 object

I am trying to send SMS using the new SMS Lookout 6.5 object and it does not work.

Can anyone send me an example of configuration of SMS object that works?

I even followed a serial between PC and modem and there is a strange standing Lookout sending to the modem.

Help, please

Ivan K.

Problem solved.

I entered the starting number by + and departure must be 00.

  • FieldPoint power settings

Belvedere's going to write anything that is connected to its outputs FieldPoint.  It is expected - at least from the point of view of Lookout behavior.

You can, however, avoid this in two ways:

    1. create a process of 'Initializing' Lookout.  And this as your startup process.  In this fictitious process, don't include any FieldPoint object; but can include other initialization functions, you may want to.  So, you would first launch this dummy and this dummy process, each time that you process / system is ready, start the actual process (which has the FieldPoint object).  In this way, you control exactly Lookout to connect and write to the FieldPoint.

    2. Another option is to not let the FieldPoint object survey until you are ready.  This can be done by using a Timer Pulse object for the datamember of survey (instead of a constant time) and use a Switch (or something similar) in the subject of timer to decide when pulse start pulse.  BUT I remember there was a way to issue back where Lookout wonder all objects of pilot in a process at the start of the process - even if it has been set to interview immediately.

    3. Finally, you can configure the object exits FieldPoint match your start parameters.  Don't know exactly how do you that - maybe switches related to the outputs in e condition that you want, and then save the file to process.  This generates the file state (LST) that would keep these States, the next time the process is launched.  But, if you change these States when using and close the process.  These final statements will be saved in the report file.

I hope that the above gives you some ideas.

    Kind regards

  • Lookout 6.1 Modbus.cbx object - is 03/03/07 latest version?

One of my clients is upgraded to 5.1 to 6.1 Lookout. We become 'too short response' errors on the statistics screen of Modbus. The old system 5.1 Lookout has no errors, using Modbus.cbx as of 16/05/03. Both versions have the gap set Serial Port of reception for 1000 bytes eliminate errors "Message scrambled."

I would like to have the latest version of the object Modbus.cbx for Lookout 5.1 and 6.1.

    Thank you.

  • On carriage 4.5 Lookout 6 source file

I use Integrator lookout 6.0 to write my programs of Belvedere, I have a couple of customers with Lookout 4.5, usually make changes to their files of process on the site, but one of my clients had a lot of changes need to be made, so I made a copy of it and brought to the shop where I have compiled it is source file in my 6 Lookout Integrator software.  Then I saved the files, has brought to the site and tried to recompile, but he is back with a few errors and does not compile.  Is that what I can do to get their program to accept version 6 compile?   I wouldn't have to redo all my work on site using 4.5.  It is unlikely that I can talk to my client in the upgrade at this time of the year.

    Thank you

    Werner

Lookout does not support such use. You cannot compile the source 6.0 lookout Lookout 4.5 file.

Instead of all over again, you can try to manually change the source file (.lks).

First, make a copy of the source file.

Open it in a text editor, such as Notepad. The first lines of serval codes are different. You need to copy headers from 4.5 to 6.0 file source file source.

If this does not work after changing the source file header, follow the error in compiling to go to the exact problem codes. The error should tell you the line number. It is usually due to the number of parameters of an object incompatibility.

I can give you instructions to fix the step by step, because there is a lot of changes.

Be sure to save the source before you edit.

  • RUN the object that will not start Windows on-screen keyboard

I use Lookout 6.5 on Windows 7 Professional. I use a button to fire a sequencer whose output starts a RUN object with a command line of the 'c:\Windows\system32\osk.exe '. Executes the RUN object, but I get a window that says "could not start on-screen keyboard. The window has only 'OK' as an option - click on OK and the window disappears. I tried the same object RUN notepad.exe with wordpad.exe, and they work very well.

    Anyone see what I'm missing?

    Thanks for your reply, Ryan.

I have now found a solution – but first a few puzzles. I can use the Lookout RUN object successfully to start other executable files in the Windows\system32 folder - but not the osk. I can start the osk in other ways (shortcut, double-clicking the .exe from a .bat file).

I copied the osk.exe to another folder on the hard drive and can now begin with the Lookout RUN object. I don't know why this works differently - but it does. Thank you.

  • textEntry object - visible data member does not

    Hi people,

I work at lookout 6.6 with a project developed at lookout 6.1.

I was very happy to discover that the textEntry object has had an upgrade in the 6.6 and the added visible data member.

I have introduced the necessary logical expressions on the data member, but the visible member of the does'n is not working properly: if its value is false, the textEntry object is not visible on the Panel, but that's all by allowing the entry (this on the textEntry object converted from 6.1 to 6.6).

I create a new project of 6.6 with a textEntry object, but the problem is still present.

I think that we are looking for a little bug.

    Goodbye, have a good time

Sorry, it looks like a bug.

  • Object CitadelControl

    Hi people,

I want to introduce in my default application Lookout (now 6.1), the ability to periodically make a backup of the historical database to another on the same PC, that way I can fix the life expectancy of default database for a few days instead of 1 year. This because I have a huge amount of data record (up to 1000 alarms conditions and 100 track of process variables) to the historical database, and I don't want the size of the database increases too.

To do this, I did an application test to test the CItadelControl object. Everything works very well for the trail, but not for alarm.

This is a limitation of the CitadelControl object? If so, there is another way to make a backup of the alarms?

    Thank you.

    Mario Fanelli

This is a limitation for the CitadelControl object.

How to check alarms is to use the MAX (measure automation project). Right-click on the database, and then select Archive. He archived data and alarms.

The alarm data are managed by SQL Server. The file is mssql.* in the data folder. If the SQL file is just about 100M after months, regardless.

  • How can I copy some object without it being related to the original?

When I copy a pushbutton to Lookout 5.1 it is linked to the original.  If I change the name of the newly pasted key (or any other property) it changes it and the original object.

How to create a pasted object that has the same properties as the original without the 2 related?  Or how to break the link?

If you select a displayed object, then do a copy & paste (ctrl + c ctrl + v, copy & paste in the menu drop-down change or hold down the SHIFT key & drag) you make a copy of the original object.  If you want a new object created, select the display object and press ctrl (not updated) & drag.  Or use Object Explorer when ctrl + c ctrl + v or right click contextual menu to create new objects, but not display.

  • (2) is there a place that I see all the logics without seeking the properties of each object?

    LookoutDirect 4.5

    (2) is there a place that I see all the logics without seeking the properties of each object?

It seems that the lookout 4.5 is not browser connection. We have added this tool to view the connections at the belvedere 5.x.

  • How to dynamically change the color of the text in the lookout?

I wish that the color of the text to change according to a different value.  How can I do this at Lookout?

I tried to find connections to text insertions and expressions but have failed.

    Thank you

    Dave

Change the display text property, setting the Style of background as "Transparent".

Create a gauge object. It is capable of changing color on different conditions. Put the gauge above the text display.

  • Problem of Lookout 6.0.2 modbus rtu?

One of our clients has Lookout 6.0.2 communicates with several Packs of Scada CMI on wireless modems using the Modbus RTU Protocol. All of a sudden Friday night he got comm fail alarm pages on site all but one. The Modbus statistics window revealed that Lookout had stopped voting for all sites, except a single site that remained in communications. The only activity is a single site.

He saw it queries this way for 2 hours, never to regain the normal polling cycle.

I had him quit and relaunch Lookout and mark returned to normal and has been like this since late Friday night.

This system has been in use for several years with very close 100% good communications sice we have deployed so far.

It was obviously a Lookout failure, since the only approach was to quit and relaunch Lookout.

Is there a timer for this kind of mistake?

Is this a failure of the cbx Modbus object? (We use the plain vanilla Modbus driver)

  • Problems of expression lookOut

    Hello guys,.

I met a very strange situation today.  I created an expression in a file on the server which then be used for another calculation.  To be sure my expression was working fine, I dragged the expression of a Panel to see if I could get a number, and I did.  The strange thing is that expression was X out as if there was no link, but my number has been updated again.  I could see my number correctly changing from top to bottom, but the just X out.  I tried to restart the server is not available.  I guess LookOut could take the good parts and leave the bad output that resulted in the X.  However if something in my expression was wrong (such as typing errors), LookOut wouldn't even take it at all.  I tried to break this long term piece by piece, and every single one was working fine. What would be the problem here?

    I tried to create an expression = Pot1.value + FieldPoint1.AI000.00.

The FieldPoint module does not exist. Then, I got an alarm on the FieldPoint1 object.

I saw the X on the expression, and when I decide to Pot1, the value of the expression changes.

So, it looks like the same behavior. Take a look at the expression, makes it read all the data object of the pilot?

Another way is to replace each part of the expression with a constant value one by one.

  • difference between email and sms

    Hi guys,.

I do not understand how to tell the difference between email and sms messages. It seems that all fall under the Inbox folder, and they are all Message objects. Is this correct? If this isn't the case, please correct me. Is there a method to retrieve all SMS?

    Thank you!

Look carefully at the API - there are three distinct objects of the Message:

    javax.wireless.messaging.Message (SMS)

    net.rim.blackberry.api.blackberrymessenger.Message (BB Messenger - 4.2.1 and higher)

    net.rim.blackberry.api.mail.Message (email)

All three a really different classes completely different methods and properties.
