SMV replicated without IP

HI guys,.

I'm testing replication vSphere and based on all the tests I've done all the VMs recovered do not have configured IP addresses.
I checked the admin guide PDF and this is mentioned nowhere.
Is this normal? do I have to re - ip my VMs all the time once recovered?

Thanks in advance.

Daniele

Yes, I confirm...

In a good design, you must have a second vcenter your site backup with Mrs.

Kind regards

Julien.

  • How to migrate Office persistent link clones of workstations for the new data store

Hello. We have clones of persistent link to view running in the environment from our view. We need to migrate these desktops to new storage. Rebalancing is out as this will include a refresh operation - destroy anything and everything installed in c:\ of the user. Is there a method to migrate Desktop clone link persistent to a new data store, while keeping the office in the same exact state (i.e. c:\ is not updated).

    Thank you

Never say impossible. I came across the solution when I read the article by Duncan Epping:

    http://www.yellow-bricks.com/2012/03/15/Dr-of-view-persistent-linked-clone-desktops/

I have that for my situation. Basically, replicate data from view in the new storage warehouses. Set up data warehouses replicated without re-signing with the cluster of ESXi. Turn the power off and unsubscribe the vCenter view workstations. Save the workstations from the data store replicated/mounted to vCenter and power over desktop computers.

VCenter, nothing dramatic has happened if she sees just as vm being unregistered and re-recorded activity from the same exact data store (the same UUID). View Admin is happy because he sees just the events as desktop computers that have been turned off and then subsequently in reverse. Nothing has changed regarding the database to view ADAM, we still use the same data warehouses.

I have already tested before for a scenario of View DR, and he succeeded. Between remembering who and Duncan's article helped me to adapt the same process for this. Nothing is impossible

  • Unregistering removed a unit of replication of disks instead of destination

We reinstall our vCenter and will be re-registering/move our unit of replication. We have extremely large drives to our Dr site that we cannot allow to be planted again. Opt-out of the former vCenter unit will cause these discs to remove? I am also told that replication is of ESXi to ESXi host. So if remove us the replication device will always continue? Just trying to figure the best way to re - install replication without causing these disks of destination should be deleted.

    Hello

VR device is related to the installation of vCenter server and maintains the object identifiers internal managed vCenter VMS and hosts and data warehouses.

VR device cannot meet another server vCenter Server with id values different managed object.

Withdrawal of the army with the VR of the vCenter Server inventory unit, even with again add it back, will make it useless.

Remove a source VM (or its host) to vCenter inventory had RV removed all knowledge on this virtual machine and this includes the removal of the disc replica of the remote site (except when you set up replication, the existing disks were used as initial copies).

In your case you can do:

    1. perform failover for all virtual machines that are replicated, without turning off the original source of VMs and without turning on/off the Unregister VMs. recovered the VMs recovered inventory of vCenter target, while keeping records on data warehouses.

2 do whatever management is necessary on the vCenter (s) and presenters.

    3. If DB vCenter is a novelty - deploy the new device of VR.

4 configure replication from scratch and direct them to use existing records in the target as the initial seed for replication data warehouses. This will still show as initial full-synchronization in the UI, however, checksum is performed and only the different disk blocks are exchanged.

  • SRM RDM - unable connect NFC services

    Hello

I'm under 4.1 SRM on vSphere 4.1 using replicated without XIV. A test of MRS. failover has produced the following error for a Windows virtual machine cluster. The task was to retrieve VM and the error = cannot connect NFC services. This virtual machine is a Windows 2003 3 node cluster using several disks of rdm in physical compatibility mode. All nodes in the cluster has failed with this error message. Why? and how to fix it?

    Thank you

All other virtual machines (Inc. those in the same group as the cluster protection) more OK.

    Hi Jakkke,

Plan near Cache allows configurable levels of most basic cache coherence cache expiration based versioning of data cache according to the requirements of consistency of the cache invalidation based. Near Cache is commonly used to achieve the performance of the cache replicated without losing aspects of scalability of the replicated cache, and this with a subset of data (based on SRM or UPM) in the of the near cache and all the data in the cache close. Updates of can automatically trigger events to invalidate the entries in the invalidation strategy-based (present, all, none auto) configured for the cache close.

If you want to expire the entries in the and , you must specify a time-out on the two schemes as mentioned by you in the last example. Now if you are to expire items in the for the reason that they get loaded from the cache-store but remain even keys (only the values should be updated in the cache store), so you should not set the expiration delay on the mention rather the invalidation strategy as a gift. But if you want to have a different set of entries in after a specified delay so that you need to mention this in the configuration of .

Near cache has the ability to keep the plan before and backup data system synchronized, but the expiration of the entries is not synchronized. Still, avant-regime is a subset of background.

    I hope this helps!

    See you soon,.

  • NotSerializableException cluster when the replication type = none!

    WebLogic 10

I have a cluster that is not replicated, but I get weblogic NotSerializableException when more than one server runs in my cluster. I get the following error of weblogic:

Is it possible to have a non replicated without weblogic cluster trying to serialize objects in session?

    Hello

Several times, even if we do no data no serializable within the HttpSession object... even some infrastructure such as WebLogic PageFlows, WebLogicPortal framework etc. tends to put a lot of Variables Page unwantedly inside the HttpSession object that can cause this problem. Not sure what framework you are using.

To identify these objects not serializable within the HttpSession object... Please use the JSP mentioned in the mentioned link... Please refer to: http://jaysensharma.wordpress.com/2009/12/08/session-replication-issues/

Doing this, you will be able to identify this weather here are objects of Application or WLS specific objects that causes this problem.

  • I have the two Master Sync activated WITHOUT be asked for master password said at the start of the session and password?

The basic question is that whenever I start Firefox, I am invited, a few seconds later, my master password, regardless of if I will actually connect a site for which I saved my credentials.
This same number as well as a replica of his original poster chosen as the best answer has been published on the following link: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1039575

I'm in the same situation as this poster, but I don't want to turn off sync. I need the master password set to protect my passwords stored, and I need the Sync feature enabled to share my profile between different computers that I use.
If I close the master password prompt at the start of the session and then I go to a page that I recorded the password, I should I get prompted again, and that's all I need. Also, I've installed Sync do NOT share my passwords stored, where the master password invite so that the effect is useless in my case.

So the question is simply how can I turn off the prompt for password at startup, have it pop up when you access a site that needs a password stored (or ask if I want to save a) and keep the clock running without sharing passwords.

    Thanks in advance.

    No, this is not possible.
Sync must retrieve the journal of authentication data in password manager and which requires to enter the password to unlock the password.

The synchronization used in Firefox 34 version then use password manager to store the name (e-mail) and password to use to connect to the synchronization server.
The chrome://FirefoxAccounts entry in the Password Manager stores (kA and kB) credentials in JSON format.
Earlier versions of Firefox used to store these data in the signedInUser.json file in the profile folder, but the current version only stores the sessionToken in this file and must the Manager password for the credentials of the synchronization.

  • Portege R700: Speed Port Replicator HI + USB Vista questions

    Good afternoon

I am having trouble with 4-5 new R500-1hd (311th short number), the number could be higher, but users could not have reported it.
If the laptop is disconnected from the HI Speed Port Replicator 2, it off very well and the laptop can be used, but when the laptop is brought back it does not recognize the mouse or the keyboard. The device does not appear as an "unknown device" in Device Manager, but just does not at all appear.

A new problem that has arisen is again when the machine is off station USB devices install\work not unless they are connected on port SATA\USB, once again the machine failed to detect at all. Even when devices are picked up, it may take in any case of 30-60 seconds before the work of the mouse and the keyboard.

These are corporate images deployed through WDS and the problem is very intermittent.
A reset is applied each time the device will be detected.

I had a couple of flying machines and finished the stretch prior to the computer with Windows 7, computer image portable devices all work fine with or without the docking station and can be used instantly.

Isn't anyone has an idea how I can fix this problem?

    Concerning

    Kris

    Hello

As far as I know speed Port Replicator HI new supports the USB 3.0 standard.
I found the USB driver on the European driver Toshiba for the USB 3.0 feature page.

I recommend that you install this!

Thanks for posting comments after trying that

  • Problems with the port replicator USB 2.0 after installing Windows XP - SP2

    Hello world

I have a Satellite M30 742 with MS-Windows XP Professional installed. I plugged most of my external devices to him through a port replicator Toshiba USB 2.0. Everything seems to work fine until I installed Service Pack 2.

Therefore, starting my laptop computer is an adventure to recognize random port replicator: usually four USB ports are recognized, but the ports series and parallel, keyboard and mouse ports are ignored, with a message "unknown USB device".

Uninstalling and reinstalling, them or their drivers are a vain effort, since Windows keep ignoring them.

However, in other occasions, they are recognized without problems (even if windows insist on installing their drivers each time that it finds, even if I have already installed a large number of times).

Please, you have an idea to solve this problem * boring * problem?

Thank you very much in advance,
    Ricardo.

    Hello

what you might try is to reinstall the chipset driver because I think that the USB is connected to the chipset.

In my opinion the Windows upgrade had changed the pilot USB from Toshiba a MS a. So the Port Replicator is not recognized all the time.

    Thank you

These sound like the laptop would turn to Tablet mode after connection to the raplicator port.
I think it has a bad setting in the utility of rotation.
You must enter this utility and check the PC mode and the Tablet PC settings.
I think that the parameters must be defined on primary landscape

In addition, I would recommend checking the Toshiba mobile extension tool that is placed in the control panel.
There is a tab to display change. Here you can activate the service of display change
