Snapshot logs not purged
Hi allI have a problem where my snapshot logs are not purged due to materlized veiw dropped from the remote site.
I watched DBMS_SNAPSHOT. PURGE_SNAPSHOT_FROM_LOG procedure to remove orphaned entries in the materialized view logs.
I want to run this procedure based on the ID of snapshot of SYS. SLOG$ using the snapshot_id parameter. Because the snapshot target is not listed in the list of instant entries (DBA_REGISTERED_SNAPSHOTS).
Please find the results of the query to determine what entries in SYS below. SLOG$ at the master site are no longer used.
SELECT NVL (r.NAME,'-') snapname
snapid
Snapsite NVL (r.snapshot_site, "unregistered")
snaptime
OF SYS.slog$ s
dba_registered_snapshots r
WHERE s.snapid = r.snapshot_id (+) AND r.snapshot_id IS NULL;
SNAPNAME SNAPID SNAPSITE SNAPTIME
-435 is not 27/09/2010 22:11
-456 is not 27/09/2010 22:11
Please let me know if there is another method to purge the logs safely?
DBMS_MVIEW. PURGE_MVIEW_FROM_LOG is overloaded.
If you have the MVIEW_ID, you don't have to specify the (MVIEW_OWNER, MVIEW_NAME, MVIEW_SITE) settings.
See the documentation for procedures on DBMS_MVIEW PLSQL.

Original title: a snapshot could not be created. Check the event logs "VSS" and "SPP" application for more information. Details: shadow enough storage to create the copy storage file or other shadow copy data. Error code: 0 x 81000019
I tried to back up my files using an external hard drive (which I have done before with Windows 7 64-bit), but recently I get the same error code. I have re-formatted external hard drive, run diagnostics on it, restarted the computer, etc and nothing seems to work. I also tried both options posted in another forum with the same error and too, they were not successful (external is already NTFS and now that it has been re-formatted is completely empty). Windows has more suggests? I hope not to have to use drag and drop my files whenever I want to save my computer.
Thanks for the help!
Read this article because I believe that the amount of free space in the 100 MB partition is too small. Article is a different error code, but the technique to increase the size of the 100 MB partition is the same.

I get this message to 5 seconds after attempting to back up using a Seagate external hard drive. The drive has plenty of space (1 TB) and is formatted NTFS. System recognizes no problem when I Plug and I can move files to and from it no problem otherwise.
No other thread does deal directly with this version of the problem (with the object "not found"). Any help or ideas are appreciated.Hello
This occurs generally when the Volume Shadow Copy service and SPP services are not started. We will analyze and identify the cause of the problem.
I suggest you perform the steps mentioned by "Diana D replied October 23, 2010" to a similar discussion.
Reference:
snapshot could not be created Details: the specified object was not found.
Note: Make sure you put in road security software and Windows Firewall later once you are finished with the test.
Important: when running chkdsk on the drive hard if bad sectors are found on the disk hard when chkdsk attempts to repair this area if all available on which data may be lost. When you run the checkdisk, there are risks of data loss you can take a backup before starting the checkdisk.

Original title: Windows - no system reserved partition backup error
Whenever I try to back up files by using the backup utility Windows 7, I get the following error message:
"A snapshot could not be created. Check the event logs "VSS" and "SPP" application for more information.
"Details: the specified object could not be found" error code: 0 x 81000019The backup utility starts and says is 'create shadow' fails.
In the research forums, I find a common solution to the increase in the size / cleaning of the system reserved partition. My problem is that the system reserved partition does not exist on the computer. The computer originally had Windows Vista and upgraded to Windows 7 x 86 Ultimate SP1.
Is it possible to get Windows 7 backup to work without a system reserved partition? If not, is anyway to create a system partition reserved without wiping the hard drive and reinstalling everything?

Hello
The D: partition is normally your recovery partition that you do not touch with the exception of the enumerated grounds.
You don't tell us the size of your D: partition.
There are between 5-15GBs, is the recovery partition and read more:
Your recovery Partition was photographed on your hard drive during the production of your computer by the manufacturer for all of these reasons.
1. to reinstall Vista from in the case of a failure of the system, based on individuals or the keys at startup.
F10 or Alt + F10 or F11 are a couple of different manufacturers use sequences.
You will need to ask your manufacturer for proper sequence.
2. to make the recovery disks on if your drive hard breaks down, so that you can then reinstall the operating system on a new hard drive.
Also ask them how to make records.
Your D: Recovery Drive is should not be used for backups, defragmented, etc..
There are backups on an external hard drive.
To resolve the problems that have arisen with the recovery D: Partition, you will need to contact the manufacturer of your computer to remove all that has been added to it.

Audit trail is not purged.
Hello
my current database version is 11.2.0.3.0. I am currently serving my with a procedure audit trail. In my home, I had this part of the code:
SYS.dbms_audit_mgmt.clean_audit_trail( audit_trail_type => SYS.dbms_audit_mgmt.audit_trail_aud_std, use_last_arch_timestamp => TRUE );
I'm not under the procedure under SYS so there... in SYS.dbms code. Everything works without errors. But the table of sys.aud audit trail $ is not purged!
Any ideas why it doesn't work?
I read that: Bug 9164488 - DBMS_AUDIT_MGMT. CLEAN_AUDIT_TRAIL does not delete the tables sys.aud$ and sys.fga_log$ ID 9164488.8 + has been fixed in 11.2.0.2 version, so this should not be the case.
Also last setting archive timestamp works very well!
SYS.dbms_audit_mgmt.set_last_archive_timestamp( audit_trail_type => SYS.dbms_audit_mgmt.audit_trail_aud_std, last_archive_time => to_timestamp(SYSDATE - pocet_dnu), rac_instance_number => null );
Thank you

CREATE A CONNECTION MATERIALIZED VIEW / SNAPSHOT LOG
Hello
Is there a difference between create log materialized view on and instant on creat.
Did some research on Google, who discovered: a snapshot log is a related table
the main table of a capture instant and is used for updating snapshots of the Greenbelt master.
The materialized view log is a table associated with the master table of a materialized view. Appear to be the same.
Moreover, import these tables? My database will work normally without the view log.
Kind regards
BecksThere is no difference.
The so-called "Snapshot Logs" pre Oracle8i were called "Materialized View Logs" for Oracle8i.
