Snipping Tool missing (WIN7 Pro)
Snipping Tool icon dissappeared since about a week after the purchase of the new desktop computer. Tablet PC components is checked. Research leads to no result for "capture tool.
Would an update have deleted?
Can I use the WIN7 pro for re installation disc - install Snipping Tool?
Thanks in advance

Post-it Note, Snipping Tool, Sound Recorder etc missing from the Start Menu
Some integrated programs have suddenly disappeared in the folder 'Accessories' in the Start Menu, including sticky notes, Snipping Tool, Sound Recorder, and record Tablet PC Tools was empty too and maybe even more than programs that I do not know. (I don't know why this happened, the only reason why I can think of is maybe I fell a development of my antivirus program).
I looked online for solutions, I tried:
-Option unchecking and rechecked the "Tablet PC Tools' of the 'Turn Windows has or not', which bought only the programs in the Tablet PC Tools in the Start Menu folder, but not the Post-it Notes and other
-Restore to an earlier point, but did not work
-Enter sfc/scannow in the command prompt but it has said is that Windows has no problems of integrity or something after scanning and solves nothing
The programs are always there, I found 3 of them in C:/Windows/System32 as exe files and they work from there, but they just will not be displayed in the Start Menu or when I do a search. I don't know what else is missing. Is it possible to bring them back in the start menu? Would be fixed it with a factory reset? - but I don't really want to do a factory reset, unless I am out of options.
Help would be much appreciated!
A factory reset would, but that's certainly an exaggeration just to restore shortcuts.

Acrobat 9 Pro Extended: How to use Windows 7 Snipping Tool to paste in PDF
Acrobat 9 Pro Extended on Windows 7.
I often use the Windows built-in capture tool to copy parts of pages and paste them into other applications.
Works very well.
I can't find a way to let Acrobat let me paste.
I create the snip as I always do.
Then navigate to Acrobat. But the editing/paste menu item is grayed.
I tried the file/create a PDF / empty file. Place my insertion point in the box.
There was not yet any edition and paste.
Any ideas on what I need to do to allow the edition and paste the Windows 7 Snipping Tool?
Thanks for any help or advice!
There is a correction before the flight that allows you to flatten annotations, or open the console JavaScript interactive (Ctrl + J), enter the following line of code:
flattenPages();
and with the cursor on that line, press Ctrl + Enter or press enter on the numeric keypad. This cannot be undone, so work with copies if you might want to go back.

Snipping Tool broken in WIN7 Home premium
OK, snipping tool is a feature I use often and it worked last week, but after some MS updates and it is now broken...
He actually locked my computer until I had to reset hard several times.
I followed all the guides etc. as verification and testing, sfc/scannow flashes only so no issues there.
No hardware or additional software have been added since this problem started last week.Because today, I now get a message that says:
ERROR of the cutting tool does not work on your computer right now. Restart your computer, and then try again. If the problem persists, contact your system administrator.I AM THE ADMIN. SYSTEM...
Looking for a place to document a solution I found last night. What I did uninstall the Visio 2007 Viewer. Problem disappeared.

I upgraded to win7 starter to win7 pro with a clean install
IM missing 3 drivers that the manufacturer of laptops would not give to me the notebook is an Acer ZE7 they told me that they have not recommend an upgrade to win7 pro. sounds really fishy to me I need to level 5 more portable win7 pro.
Please help me with an answer as soon as POSSIBLE
I suggest you to reinstall Windows 7 Starter and use Windows Anytime Upgrade to upgrade to Windows 7 Professional. Personally, I can't find any information on this model. Anytime Upgrade will reduce the headache. Windows 7 Starter and professionals are based on the same kernel, so the same driver will work for 3 lack of pilots. Reinstall Windows 7 Starter using the tools of recovery of manufacturers.
If the license for Windows 7 Professional, you have access to is a retail version update or complete, you can use the product key and the Express upgrade from Windows 7 Starter to Windows 7 Professional. First of all, check that the edition of Windows 7, you are upgrading is already enabled (if it isn't, you will encounter complications and that you might start all by performing a clean installation). Click Start, type Anytime Upgrade, click on the option enter a key, enter the key of Windows 7 Professional on demand, click Next, wait while checking the key, accept the license agreement, click on upgrade, wait while the software upgrades, (it may take 10 minutes or more depending on the if updates are required) your computer restarts automatically, after the reboot, Windows 7 will notify you updating the computer, the computer will restart once more automatically and will be completed the upgrade, a window will appear notifying the upgrade was successful and your computer is ready to use, click Close, you should be upgraded to Windows 7 Professional your files, programs and settings retained.

Hello.
I have win7 Pro and downloaded Virtual PC and XP mode. This worked OK 1st time and then I had to recover the drive hard back to the value by default after losing the startup file. Since then, I can't XP to initialize. A text box appears after the configuration page of the password with the "the virtual machine configuration could not be created. User does not have sufficient access rights.
A .vhd file is then created in the virtual machine folder, but I can't get the program to run. At the register anything to do with this? I uninstalled XP mode and the Vitual PC update several times and they reloaded with nothing will do.
Hello
Maybe your registry is confused until this topic very well, but is recommended to install the Virtual Machine Manager Configuration Analyzer 2007.
It is a diagnostic tool that verifies the configuration settings for your computer that are important to the performance of Microsoft System Center Virtual Machine Manager.I also found a page of Microsoft about installing and using Windows XP Mode in Windows 7

Win7 PRO can't find PCI Simple Comunication Controller driver
HP Compaq computer, 7700
Win7 pro 32-bit
Device Manager displays error in the installation of the Simple PCI communications controller. Repeat the Installation can't find driver. Computer works very well with the error in Device Manager. What need the controller device?
OK... try this one then.
If for any reason any that does not work, try to manually install the one I posted above.
If you deleted it, run it again and then click on your PCI device needing driver. Click on the driver tab, click on set to update driver. Select the 'Browse my computer for software' and navigate to the installation folder that was created when you ran the file. This file is located in C:\SWSetup\sp34743. Make sure that the include subfolders is selected and I hope that the driver will be installed.
I posted this driver for others on the Forum of Business Support for their dc7700 so I know that it must work. Here's the thread. You can try some of the other drivers too.

Failure of KB974431 update with 8007000D on a clean install of Win7 Pro 64-bit
Hi all
I just finished a clean install of Win7 pro 64 bit and everything looks on with the activated product key. I'm applying 50 some important updated via update, but I have one that fails each time, KB974431.
According to this thread: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vistawu/thread/27737d55-9c10-44b5-b701-6ba147c78364, another person having this problem had luck manually download and install the update. But it did not work for me (I created a new thread because his son was in the installation forum).
KB94431 was also causing problems for people who concoct a C004F050 error as in this thread:http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vistawu/thread/ff57f326-0f1d-412c-a4d0-14de1eaf0836/ although I didn't have this error, I tried running sfc/SCANNOW and he did report that he "finds corrupted files but could not solve some of them." I don't really know what I should look for in the CBS. By suggestion of the thread, I installed 64-bit Windows Update Agent and Windows Update is represented nothing doesn't.
I think I have a corrupted file update is already downloaded that Windows is trying to use each time and it fails. They seem to live in files Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download and Windows\Servicing\Packages. Although I can change the permissions to delete the file in Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download (and I've tried it without change of failure), access is denied whenever I try to touch the Windows\Servicing\Packages or its content.
The only installed software were the latest EVGA nforce and drivers for video card, Norton Security Suite and the SoundBlaster last for my sound card driver.
Any suggestions?

IE seems to be locking up my normally stable Win7 Pro.
I've been running Win7 Pro for a week. Its been pretty easy & much faster than XP. I did a full install on a hard drive again instead of an update. Last night, I added a gadget (Vista clock Radio) and was www.COtrip.org (since the pass was closed last night) using IE. The computer is locked until this morning (keyboard & mouse were unresponsive). I had to do a hard power & light. When I returned to www.cotrip.org, I blocked twice more. I was installing my email & mobile alerts when this happened this morning, but not last night.
I tried to install an update from windows a minute ago & it failed. This is a first for me on Win7. The update was a Broadcom Bluetooth driver for my thinkpad. The failure code is 800F020B. Unknown if this is related, but seems a coincidence.
I am running the latest version of Norton AV...
This gives a whirlwind:
1. download the Norton Removal Tool, save it to your desktop: ftp://ftp.symantec.com/public/english_us_canada/removal_tools/Norton_Removal_Tool.exe
2. close all open applications (that is, anything with an icon on the taskbar).
3. After completing some you have a copy of your handy product key, uninstall NAV, LiveUpdate and all Norton Add ons via Control Panel | Programs | Uninstall a program (or Control Panel |) Programs and features, if you are using the classic view).
4 IMPORTANT! -Online activate Windows Firewall immediately after the restart.
NB: Now you're "working without a net": no to ANYTHING else online (e.g., navigation, reading e-mail, chat) until you have completed step #8 below!
5. right click on the file that you saved in step #1 above, and then select run as administrator. DO TAP not your keyboard until the race ends, then restart.
6 very briefly and very carefully, see if IE8 works better now. [1]
7 do a clean install of NAV 2010 using your product ID & reboot: http://www.symantec.com/norton/support/kb/web_view.jsp?wv_type=public_web&docurl=20080514162318EN
TIP: Do not activate or install additional modules of Norton (for example, Norton Anti-Phishing) immediately.
8. manually and repeatedly run LiveUpdate until you get a prompt "no update more".9 test.
==================
[1] or download/install/update, for example, Microsoft Security Essentials (at least temporarily) as a comparison test. Thereafter, be sure to uninstall it, and then do the steps #7 and #8 above.~ Robear Dyer (PA Bear) ~ MS MVP (that is to say, mail, security, Windows & Update Services) since 2002 ~ WARNING: MS MVPs represent or work for Microsoft
