SOA Suite 11g includes the OSB?

What is the difference between OSB and BSE.
BSE is a component of the SOA Suite and it can connect to various services.
OSB has more functions such as dynamic routing and enrichment of the Message. If I buy just SOA suite, can I use OSB? Or I have to buy OSB if I want to use it in my application that contains the components of SOA.

I think with the permit SOA suite 11 g, you can use the OSB. No need to buy it separately. You can view-

  • SOA Suite 10g and SOA Suite 11g? What are the major changes in these two?

    Hi Experts,
I'd be curious to know about Soa Suite 11 g. SOA Suite 10 g SOA Suite 11 g, BPEL changes? What are the major changes in these two product/tool wise? Is now OSB belongs to Soa Suite 11 g? It would be useful for us to know what are the major changes and updates or changes came to 11g.

    Please share this valuable information.

Is it that no matter what version is still running Oracle, which has not yet officially launched with oracle?

    Hello

I think that the most important changes are:
    1. move on Weblogic Server.
    2. creation of a unified period. Which means that everything plugs into it. SOA, BPM, OSB, B2B...

Additional features like the NDA: Composites within network-based event. SDO: Service Data Objects to transfer information and from db, adf (if I'm not mistaken)
    Tighter integration with the ADF.

A few extensions to BPEL. Such as the events of Signal etc. Don't know if it's standard or specific to Oracle extension.

But you get the idea. A lot of changes, a lot of things improved and move functionality.

  • Can I use the same Weblogic Server for soa suite 11 g and OSB panels?

    Hi all

Is it possible to use the same server weblogic for SOA suite 11 and OSB?

    Hi Arun,

SOA 11 g is running on weblogic version 10.3.2 OSB is running on weblogic 10.3, so you can't have two SOA suite 11 g and the OSB on weblogic even (not EVEN in the two areas of same weblogic). You must have two facilities of weblogic. (at this time)

After the next release of OSB (planned for H2), you can run both the same weblogic.

  • Installation of SOA Suite 11g

    Hello

I am an oracle applications developer and want to learn how SOA. I would like to install SOA suite 11 g on my computer laptop windows 7, but I read an article on apps2fusion.com, saying it would slow down terribly and may even corrupt Windows operating system files.

Is that true and if so, how install it safely without any mess. This could be a basis of SB, but I couldn't find a good online documentation. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

I wouldn't worry about installing corrupt Windows operating system files.  However, it will definitely slow down your PC.  If you are looking for a facility that won't affect your ability to use Windows, I download Oracle virtual box install an OS in VirtualBox and then install SOA Suite in the VirtualBox.  This will allow you to 'fork' more soa and all of its components still active as the database, when you do not need.

Once you have downloaded virtualBox, install your operating system preferred in it.  If you are using Windows 7 and you want it to be the OS used inside VirtualBox, you will need a special touch to it.  However, there are a multitude of free Linux variant. My favorite is CentOS.

Once you have installed an operating system in VB Oracle, so go ahead and download the appropriate files to install SOA Suite.  Please note that SOA suite installation locally requires the installation of Weblogic, a local database Oracle (the database single user works fine), as well as the installation of the entire suite SOA. In addition, you'll also probably want to download and install SOAPUi which is a great tool to test service endpoints.

To get all this to work properly, you will need a lot of RAM.  Currently, my Toolbox (running on Windows 7 Pro, not in VB Oracle) can use (including the total operating system) up to 5.5 GB.  For the above configuration, I would suggest that this amount is available for your VirtualBox and more whatever your OS needs on the host system.

Alternatively, if you install the largest components (Weblogic and the database) on a server, you can simply use in your tests.

Please let me know if that helps.

  • Oracle BPM 10gR 3-Oracle SOA Suite 11g

I'm not sure that some body else already asked.

I produced Oracle BPM in production which is fine and happy with the way it works. Its developed from Version: 10.3.1.0.0 build: 100364 #. We use custom JSP, JavaComponent, etc. GRANDPA in this.

We are thinking of migrating to SOA to Oracle 11g Suite.

Is there any tool for that? If this isn't the case, nothing provided for?

Do we need to re - write our application BPM from 10 g to 11 g? What all parties might need to re - write?

To answer your question in the right way, I fear that there is no direct migration path of OBPM 10 g to Oracle SOA Suite 11 g. You will need to write to us - many things like

    1. the present of the BPM API are not public. If u will be something like GRANDPA as OBPM
    2. There is no support for PBL/Java in Oracle 11 g BPM. However, if you want to use the custom Java component you can use BPEL or spring with BPM. After all, each component is packed inside a single composite.
    3. it is recommended to have all of the dashboards and UI user developed with ADF if you are with Oracle SOA Suite 11 g but even if you have a JSP that shouldn't be a problem.

  • SOA Management Pack more in OEM Gridd 10.2.0.5 for Soa Suite 11g

    Howdy,
I'm trying to figure out if SOA Management Pack Plus in OEM Gridd 10.2.0.5 provides a view into BPEL Process Manager in SOA 11 g.

I have this working against a SOA Suite 10.1.3.4 Environment Management Pack run on Oracle Application Server. In this configuration, I configured Gridd OEM to discover BPEL PROCESS MANAGER. With this work, I can enter different details on BPEL processes such as status, configuration and performance.

Now I have a new environment - WebLogic Suite with SOA 11 g in there. I discovered in OEM Gridd WebLogic Server. However, I'm not able to discover the BPEL Process Manager. I'm starting to think the process that worked for SOA 10 g does not apply in SOA 11 g and there is not a coorisponding hook in the SOA 11 g of Gridd OEM BPEL process.

If none of this makes sense and you have some information about this so I had to appricate it.

I think that you want to monitor SOA Suite 11 g running on WebLogic.
SOA suite 11 g is not certified with 10205.

SOA suite 11 g BPEL PM part of SOA-INFRA which is a unified runtime platform
for BPEL/mediator/rules etc. Also the BPEL process is packaged in SOA Composites that are consistent

  • Size of the table space increases too quickly (DEV_MDS of soa suite 11g)

    I use Oracle 11g SOASuite.

We are facing a problem of database (table space). After each schema deployment that dev_mds increases of 40 MB. We are therefore very often our processes in the development stage. and while cancellation of the deployment of the process. Ideally the memory should be freed. but it's not free memory.

Please, help me out of this problem. and it will be appreciated if someone will explain how this schema size increases too quickly.

    Thank you

Whenever you cancel the deployment a composite of a partition in the composite EM console gets also deleted from the MDS store. But since you must keep all versions of your composite, that your MDS store is bound to grow with each deployment.

As you mentioned that your size of the composite is huge due to activity of embedded java, it's something that your design should be avoided because there is no resuability for your component java embedded in several versions of the same composite or composite.

If you are wanting to use Java in your BPEL process I recommend to use a resalable composite with a context of spring that you can reference from different composite materials or different versions of the same composite.

It also gives you an advantage in terms of modularisation your application, because whenever you need to change your composite Java or BPEL, they can be changed and deployed independently.

Is it possible to create a user with read only role on EM 11g? We want to create a user to monitor the production environment to have options to deploy/undeploy.

By assigning a role to a user, you can restrict its access-

  • License for SOA Suite 11 g includes the application server

I'm searching through the information about the version 11 g SOA and it does not include a license to the WebLogic Server. Can anyone confirm that I need to allow the appropriate WebLogic 11 g of basis to perform SOA Suite 11 g on separately. I wish I could find a definitive statement about this on the website of Oracle or in the documentation.

I really disagree with you be here.

There are two ways to buy SOA Suite according to http://www.oracle.com/corporate/pricing/technology-price-list.pdf

A case for non-oracle middleware (essentially Websphere or JBoss now since weblogic's oracle)

One option for the Weblogic Suite. You can't buy SOA Suite standalone, you must buy it with Weblogic Suite.

Finally, what you say is not necessarily true about the upgrade. Yes, updates are normally included in the support budget, but more current owners of SOA Suite purchased by the Internet Application Server EE (OC4J). Running to 11g on OC4J is not an option, then they will have to migrate licenses of Weblogic Suite, which are more expensive. If you have purchased SOA 10 g recently with Weblogic Suite, you can freely move to 11g.

  • Composition of 11g SOA Suite

Hi all. There seems to be broad confusion (at least where I work) on what is 11 + g + SOA Suite. With the 11.1.1.3.0 patch release, BPMN tools are included in the download. To me, this seems to indicate that the Oracle SOA Suite 11 + g + includes BPMN as part of the offer and as a result, the former Oracle BPM Suite is no more.

Is this the case? Or, is it an Oracle BPM Suite 11 + g + as an element of price separately?

I'm here looking for an official position (if possible) Oracle - not opinion.

  • Size of RAM required for Soa Suite 11 g in the development environment?

    Hi all

I have a question about the optimal size of RAM required for soa suite suite 11 g in the development environment. I can see the facility of documents which

    Logic of Web-> 2 GB
SOA Suite(soa server and BAM server on web logic) - > 2 GB
    Developer of J-> 1 GB

A total of 5 GB, since we are new to 11g we're not sure, cannot therefore anyone who uses the comment 11g on the optimal RAM necessary for execution of soa suite 11 g with the developer of J.

    Thank you

Try to have a separate for the SOA Suite, for example the server machine. Then use JDev developer machines.

It really comes down to how much load you put on your environment. I would recommend 4 GB but I ran fine with only 2 GB. The question of having JDev on the same machine is that JDev can very very hungry memory and can / will affect developer experience.

    see you soon

  • Passage of Oracle SOA Suite from 11.1.1.6 to 11.1.1.7

My Organization put in place of Oracle SOA Suite 11g platform about 1.5 years.  We are running version 11.1.1.6 and have about deployed composite 90.  We use BPEL, Ombudsman and the technology at this time (we are not yet using OSB).

We intend to improve 11.1.1.6 to 11.1.1.7 soon (not quite ready to make the jump to 12.1.3).  In this context, I understand that we need to upgrade the runtime of SOA Suite environment as our development environment (JDeveloper) 11.1.1.6 to 11.1.1.7.  I am also aware that there are 4 bundle patches, published on top of 11.1.1.7.0 that is us on the application (by Doc ID 1485949.1).

I wanted to ask the community of users and see if others have any advice or tips to share in this minor update.  Is it necessary to redeploy existing SOA composite after this upgrade, or are they upgraded 'on site '?

    Appreciate any useful comment,

    Jeremy

After upgrading to 11.1.1.7, your 11.1.1.6 composites will / should continue its work on time. You don't need to redeploy composites to make them work after upgrade.

It is recommended to try the upgrade on a test environment and verify that 11.1.1.7 is working fine for you.
