  Dear all,

  problems shall comply with archival ink jet print places I tried. I am now looking at "soft proofing" which I think is not without her pearls.   When I hit Save as menu drop-down is checked to integrate adobe 1998 color profile and I want it to be srgb. Where can I change so that it is srgb and the rest in this way? My impressions of my professional lab and come back cast, flat and dark green or blue for them. My monitor is calibrated according to me its because somewhere I have adobe 1998 selected and color profiles are the translation not properly so I need everything to be srgb. I am also shooting srgb.   Hi, I just bought a U2413. I need for photography. There is nothing on profiles ICC U2413 DELL that was installed with the software in the documentation. And please note that I have not (yet!) a calibrator. I need to configure the best without calibrator... using the factory calibration.

  I hope you can make it clear, to me, how it works.

  The monitor has different MODES BUILT-IN, such as:

  Which mode is the one that has been calibrated at the factory?

  If you do not have access to an i1DisplayPro/Color munki display a yo do not have the possibility to calibrate (not even in GPU with the munki:)

  factory calibrated
  -sRGB: 50 50 brightness contrast. You can use standard sRGB.icm, once lower you it up to 120cd/m (20-25% brightness) you will lose the white point calibration.

  -AdobeRGB: contrast 50 50 brightness. You can use standard AdobeRGB1998.icm (complatible or ones like Clay1998.icm), once lower you it up to 120cd/m (20-25% brightness) you will lose the white point calibration but less than sRGB. For color management programs and without perhaps a colorimeter its your safest choice, do not forget to assign and activate an Adobe1998.icm/Clay1998.icm in Control Panel of Windows to your monitor while you're in this preset OSDdevice.

  The other preset OSD are not calibrated at the factory.

  -standard is delivered with the native range (as described in U2413.icm of pilots) and native white (whie 6700-7000K with a strong green tint)

  -Custom is delivered with the native range (as described in U2413.icm of pilots) and native white (whie 6700-7000K with a strong green tint), but you have access to the parameters of "custom colors". 20-25% brightness, contrast 50%, and R = 100, G = 91 = 97 peut give you near D65 white and 2.26 "grow" gamma (cose to 2.2 or sRGB but I guess it comes with a ramp to a same gray except calibrated). Try these setings and activate U2413.icm in this preset custom of the OSD.

  And get an i1DisplayPro, you really need.

  Canon DPP regarding:

  2 refers to the "default" image profile
  3 to view the profile (so the DPP can distort the RGB values in the image to represent this color in what that is the range to your screen). Once you set a dile icm as 'default' in the control panel-> color management-> your device it shoud check the option "use operating system settings" (I think, I don't have any owm a canon camera)
  5 a your printer profile, a profile for each combination of inkjet paper
  6. keep this, perceptual is generally more 'alive' than the actual image
  7 I think takes forever with Canon programs (but I am not a canon camera, so I have not tried their meaning), keep the same as 6

  I use indesign cc and cs6 in Windows 7 os based on the customer's requirement. When I change a color profile in indesign cs6 reflecting in indesign cc and vice versa. Is it possible to keep them unique?

  The only solution is to have several documents, each embodying the color settings you want, but otherwise identical.

• color for web and print profiles

  I'm editing photos from my digital SLR. They were shot as jpg in Adobe RGB. I'm editing photos for both web and print right now and I was wondering if there is a way to do so that I would be able to change for both at the same time in the process of Photoshop.

  Here are the details for what I usually do:

  For printing, I would work in AdobeRGB photos while the check option has the working CMYK value (usually SWOP, depending on which printer I use). Then I would flatten the work, resize and sharpen and change the color to CMYK mode, save as TIFF.

  For the web, I used to edit while RGB color settings are defined in sRGB IEC61966 - 2.1 and verification is set to RGB monitor. I flattened, resize and sharpen and save for Web.

  Is it possible that I can edit a single photo (shot in Adobe RGB) so that they can be used for BOTH print and web? I know CMYK or RGB would mean they would end in search of different end, but is be possible that I can have a single Photoshop file for the photo and go through the steps needed to make it ready for printing and for the web... or because of the color profiles and linguistic verification options , there is nothing I can do but to edit each photo twice?

  First of all I suggest you just started shooting RAW not Jpeg.

  then personally I work in AdobeRGB. I place my PSD AdobeRGB in ID and the CMYK conversion is done when I do my PDF. for web work I convert to sRGB when I use save for Web. Do not use your monitor profile color proof for the web like that you have the correct monitor profile.

• Use of on Satellite U300 ICM color profiles

  I've got U - 300 Satellite + Win XP. I use specially generated IMAGE color profile to my screen using Spider. I downloaded this addon rom Web sites allowing me to use the product. ICM file and it works.

  However, I have to turn it on whenever my computer is restarted because graphics cards drivers not support color profiles and after each reboot, the colors are back, which are defined in the graphics drivers.

  Is there a way to define this profile once and for all, so I don't have to go to the control panel whenever I turn on my machine? Thanks for help.

  But perhaps entirely graphic driver doesn t support this profiles of ice and, therefore, you have always change it in the control panel.
  Perhaps an update of the graphics card driver could help. But this is only a suggestion.

• Profiles color profile even when set as default keep switching - G570

  I recently had to calibrate the monitor G570. The default profile for Lenovo is too blue, and office work is not necessarily a problem. However, it is a question when drawing and illustration.

  If you look through the default calibration for Lenovo Thinkpad, your monitor is too blue to make the difference between shades. I've calibrated with a Spyder Express mine.

  Now on the problem. Even if I have it on by default to be responsible in managing colors in Windows 7, it seems to keep glitter works between the default that comes with Lenovo laptops and the profile calibrated with Spyder express.

  If you have a color profile for the color management, you must disable igfxpers.exe to dominate.

  I've disabled in Start Services and completed the process in the Task Manager. My monitor now the profile that I have calibrated.

  It is a problem with the Intel software and not of Lenovo.

  For several years now, I've read about disabeling the printer color profiles to store photo profiles to determine the color printing. I thought I had done that, but it never seemed to make a difference in my impressions. Rarely they are in line with what was on the monitor, I have faithfully calobrated. • Photo Viewer seem to use the incorrect color profile.

  I created a color profile by using X-Rite color grading equipment.   All my programs on my PC Windows 7 display the colors correctly except the photo viewer that shows all the colors in the dark.

  For example in Photoshop or Microsoft Office Picture Manager, you can see the details in the shadows, but with the same photo in Photo Viewer, the shadows are so dark that they don't see all the details and all the colors seem much more dark and intense.

  I used to use windows XP and did not have this problem.   Color calibration equipment is new and I use the latest version of the X-rite software on my Samsung SyncMaster monitor.  I found this same problem on another computer in Windows 7 with another Samsung monitor, but I don't think that its really a Samsung problem because I can not find another program except Windows 7 photo viewer that has this problem.

  I want to continue to use the Windows Photo Viewer, because it is quick and easy and is well integrated into other windows functions.
  I think it would be a simple solution to tell the photo viewer to use the correct color profile or simply to increase the brightness in Photo Viewer, but I can't find where is the setting.

  Step 2: Restart the computer

  Step 4: Verify that printing in grayscale option is not selected
  Step 5: Select a color management profile
  Step 6: Determine if the problem is with the application software
  Step 7: Remove and then reinstall the all-in-one software

• How to incorporate the color profile?

  I read the link of color management which concerns color ICC profiles, but I'm still a little confused.  I wanted to prepare my Photoshop document for the download of clean room to print a canvas.

  1. I installed the ICC color profile in my library > ColorSync > folder profiles

  2. I have tested I went to the test format to see to see what she looked like.  Seemed fine.

  I want to save the file in jpeg format with this color profile for them to print... in other words, I wanted to incorporate the color profile.  At least that's how I understood what I should do next. However, I can not understand how do.  I went to file > save as > and choose jpeg but sRGB IEC61966 - 2.1 profile is checked.  When I uncheck, I cannot select another color profile.

  Abandon this idea, I thought I would try another way to incorporate the color profile, so much so I thought I should go in Edition > assign profile but it won't show the cleanroom color profile from the drop-down list.

  How to integrate the ICC color profile in this file so that I can upload it to White Hall for printing?  I would really appreciate the help!

  Edition > assign profile is the correct procedure to incorporate a specific profile.  The reason why you can't find "White Hall color profile" in the menu drop-down is because it is a profile of the printer.  There are two profiles involved: 1) profile picture to color mode (usually applied in Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator applications); (and 2.) printer profiles (the profiles are created when the print provider calibrated their printer on a special paper, vinyl, or vellum support.)

  It seems that your print provider has asked users incorporate an sRGB color profile that can be done easily in any application you happen to use to create your particular file.  They will then print your profile incorporated using their printer driver or RIP file to process and print your file using their 'color of the White Hall profile' in their process of RIP and Print.
