Determine if the problem is associated with cartridge

1. the test report does not print correctly

Check the estimated ink levels

Check and clean the ink cartridges and the print carriage

2. the test page prints correctly (for products only all-in-one)
Step 1: Verify that the correct printer driver is selected in the software program
Step 2: Restart the computer
Step 3: Make sure that the correct printer driver is installed
Step 4: Verify that printing in grayscale option is not selected
Step 5: Select a color management profile
Step 6: Determine if the problem is with the application software
Step 7: Remove and then reinstall the all-in-one software

    The problem you see may be caused by a spot on the MICR band.  You can clean the Strip as shown in the here document coding.  Be aware that the coding Strip is fragile and there are fine lines, printed on the Strip that are essential to the proper functioning of the printer.  Be very gently when cleaning of the band, if you're too vigirous band (and printer) will be damaged.

  • Any error when printing with HP Photosmart 2610 all-in-one

    My trusty printer I've had for 5-6 years suddenly shows an error message when I try to print.  There are no codes or descriptions that allow me to try to isolate the error, just 'mistake' in the print queue.  I tried various different print files, restarted, I unplugged and restarted etc but without any luck.

    Recently upgraded to 10.6?

    First of all, in the Apple (top left of your screen) menu run software: over and over until that there is no more.  You should be to 10.6.6.

    Then, I propose updates through Adobe and also fill out your Windows updates also.

    Adobe:

    Open Acrobat or Reader.
    Select help - search for updates. If a new update is available, it installs automatically.
    Once installed, you can restart a computer.
    Then try to print the PDF file.

    At this point, on your computer, check the status of the print spooler service. Restart the print spooler services.

    Thank you, Sean. It has not solved the problem. Instead, I got to know that this will work with the 'HP Deskjet 6980 series' pilot and his summer work after I chose that one through the configuration of the local printer.

    Unable to print on HP psc 1350 all-in-one of iMac (OS 10.6.8) but capable of scanning; also able to print other printers connected to the same computer.  The printer is connected directly via the USB port and I downloaded and installed software for printing on Mac using OS 10.6.  Shows the impression that labour is on hold whatever program originating the print job.  The State of the 'mistake' poster print job, but there is no information about error numbers or other details of the error. The correct printer is selected by default and layout is correct.  The printer has been disconnected, turned off and restarted and the computer has been restarted several times.  Able to print/scan/to 1350 PSC all-in-one of older Mac laptop (OS 10.5.8).

    Additional suggestions are sincerely appreciated.

    If you are using Snow Leopard or Lion and you have the HP software before Snow Leopard (either from a CD not marked as compatible with 10.6 or you recently upgraded to Snow Leopard or Lion and had the software HP on your Mac before you upgrade - even if you made a standard from the old software uninstaller or installed new software on top of it) , you must uninstall the software by using the "scrubber":

    Go to Applications/Hewlett Packard / click Uninstall HP
    Click on continue
    Highlight your device in the left pane
    Press and hold Ctrl + Alt + Cmd keys on the keyboard at the same time as you click on uninstall< this="" is="" the="" scrubber="" option,="" there="" is="" no="" button="" labeled="">
    There will be a pop up that asks if you are sure you want to uninstall all hp software. (At this point, if you continue, all HP printers you have installed will need to be reinstalled)
    Click on continue and let it finish

    Restart your Mac

    Now reset the printing system:

    -Sys Prefs, Print & Fax
    -Right (control) click inside the box that lists your printers and select Reset Printing System.
    WARNING - This will remove ALL your printers!
    -Select the sign + to add again. Search for the printer, select it, and wait until the button 'Add' becomes available. Until it clicks.

    The ink is wet when you print photos on photo paper. I changed the drying time. I've never had this problem before. I even bought HP photo paper just to see if this could be it. It did not work. I can print pictures in color on plain paper. But any kind of photo paper smear/bleeding/tracks. I'm also real HP ink... no refills. Any ideas how I can get the printer to print photos again on photo paper? I read a few similar posts online and the information was not too favorable of HP, saying that the customer service is not useful, and there has been no resolution.     What kind of paper?  Make sure that you use paper designed for inkjet printing.

    It sounds like the media are thinking of this printer. Try using a smaller paper gsm and let me know if you still have the problem?

    Replace the black cartridge.  The part of the printhead of the cartridge is having issues.

    DUH!   A senior moment here... I pulled out the yellow ink cartridge replaced by another new... at that moment, I realized the orange tab 'pull' was still attached.   Once I got his shot and re - insert the cartridge, it was fixed!

    I have a hp PSC 2410 photosmart all-in-one printer. I use it on a system windows xp, 32 bit.

    I went to make a copy in color on the printer and it gave an error on the black cartridge by saying that she does not recognize.  Had not changed or replaced the cartridges they were half full.  I tried to go out and reinsert the cartridge, but it did not work.

    I replaced it with a new one.  Error disappeared, but it now only prints in black and prints any color at all.

    Replaced the (full) cartridges with new ones, aligned and clean the printer started it twice, without change.

    Close the pritnter and computer, did it again, same results.

    Uninstalled and installed printer and software, same result.

    What could have happened?  Behaves as if it doesn't have a color cartridge.
