Software and fingerprint driver

HP ProBook 450 G1

Windows 7 Professional, 64-bit, service pack 1 operating system

Pilot updated the files "sp63505" or "sp64338", several times!

Install the HP SimplePass Identity Protection by DigitalPersona software...  'sp50048'. (with the two pilots, saparately)

However, the SimplePass keep saying "the fingerprint reader is not connected.

Previously, I also tried with other HP SimplePass software! 'sp63224'.

Here again, I was unable to use it properly.

I know that my fingerprint system is not broken, as I was able to analyze my fingerprints when I put the option ask for password at startup... as I was unable to use after have connected you, it's no use!

Another confusion that is my probook ProBook G1 450 HP or HP ProBook 450 G1 based or HP ProBook 450 G1 (energy star)... I used the drivers for HP ProBook 450 G1... but I have Energy Star in my control panel

What can I do now to use my fingerprint as a password?

Akashahin,

Welcome to the HP Forum.

Comment: startup password is the gateway disturbing later - burglary for the startup password tools are easy to find, startup passwords are easy to forget, and the leading candidate to be locked in the laptop is the person who sets up the startup password.

Your computer, website: HP ProBook 450 laptop G1

Your fingerprint Sensor Driver Validity: validity V4.5.133.0 sensor Sp64338

Your HP Client Manager Security software: HP Client Security Manager V8.3.3.1786 sp65637

  • Remove / uninstall all SimplePass programs and Digital Persona that you tried to install - NONE of this is part of your laptop.    HP SimplePass is used on consumer laptops.  Your computer is a portable class business - and it uses a different set of security software.  HP Client Security Manager is the main program that includes the security suite for the ProBooks.
  • Reboot the laptop and connect

·         Close all your programs and shut down your computer

·         Unplug everything (little unifying for the keyboard / mouse external can stay)

·         Perform the Hard Reset for your model of laptop

·         Start the computer and connect

Reminder: Hard Reset is just a device to reset.  The procedure to hard reset does not erase your files or it destroys your Windows installation somehow.  It's just "clears the cobwebs".  Depending on the cause of the problem, this kind of "reset" can fix a variety of computer problems.

In the order - do not skip the reboot:

  • Download the driver and software (above)
  • Install the validity sensor driver that you downloaded
  • Reboot the laptop and connect
  • Install the HP Client Security Manager software that you downloaded
  • Reboot the laptop and connect

That's the extent of what I can tell you.  I do not use this software on my consumer notebooks I can't find a user updated for your program guide.  I think that once installed, you should see a HP Client Manager icon on the desktop or in the taskbar - used to start the program and enroll your fingerprints.

    Hi HSchulz,

When you try to install with the CD, try installing the latest Windows 7 driver from the HP website. Restart the computer, turn off the printer, then reboot your router and then launch the installation. Here is a direct link to the driver file:

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/softlib/software12/COL40120/bi-108858-4/OJ8600_1315-1.exe

Select the connection Wireless option during installation to get the printer on the network and associated with the laptop. Let me know if this helped at all...

  • What software and what driver is needed for cononpowershot A10 digital camera?

    looking for software and driver

You don't need to be.  Just slightly the cable supplied with the unit or one of the readers of SD cards.  With cable, you plug one end into the camera and the other into the USB port and then turn on the camera.  A wizard will open that allows you to copy the photos on the computer.  If you have a SD card reader, you can remove the card from the camera and put it in the drive and then go to the map as you would with a flash drive.

    Good luck.

  • software and star driver hp psc 1315xi all-in-One extracts full but will not load on xp sp3

Can not find a way to get this to install. After extracting I finally found it in running %Temp%. Searching through all files and folders, trying to find the exe file. to get it to autorun, but was unsuccessful. I tried to install this on 2 different PC with xp pro sp3 but no luck.

The solution below is from michael323 here in the Forums of HP's Support.  Make sure that you send Bravo!

I think I have solved this problem.

I have a PC Windows XP Pro (SP3) who has been affected by this problem.

Immediately after that the window of 'extraction' went to 100% and closed, nothing happened.  The windows install/never display software.

Whenever I tried it creates a log file that started with this:

    "Parsed command line: «.\Setup.exe".

    Using datfile: C:\DOCUME~1\xxxxx\LOCALS~1\Temp\7zS1293\autorun.inf

    # GetValueByLang (f-> c_str(), _T (Version), _T (LanguagesInthisCD) failed "

System LangID = 1033.  mapped to ENU

    # The system language is ENU, but is not on our CD!

There was other error messages after that, but they all come from lines 3 and 5.

Something she prevented the installation program to recognize the language ENU files ARE present in this download.

Comparing two PCs, a problem, and one that works perfectly, I saw that one who was not was AutoRun disabled through a registry setting.  I temporarily deleted this registry on the PC that wasn't and Setup launched and ran like he was supposed to.  Here are the first of this log from the same PC, a few minutes later, where the only difference was that I had removed the registry setting criminalized:

    "Parsed command line: «.\Setup.exe".

    Using datfile: C:\DOCUME~1\xxxxx\LOCALS~1\Temp\7zS1293\autorun.inf

System LangID = 1033.  mapped to ENU

We use the system of language = FRA, which is located on our CD!

As you can see, the message "(LanguagesInthisCD) failed" (line 3) disappeared, and the line 5 (now line 4) shows that it has to recognize that the language ENU installation files are present.

So if you encounter this problem, and you are comfortable with the system registry, here is how I got it to work on my PC:

    Start regedit
Navigate to the bottom of this tree
    -HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
    -SOFTWARE
    -Microsoft
    -Windows NT
    -CurrentVersion
    -IniFileMapping
Below, find out if there is a key named "Autorun.inf".
On my PC (the one with this problem) the value of this key has been "@SYS: nexistepas".
If your registry database also has this, it may be the cause of your problem.
In the left pane of regedit, do a right click on Autorun.inf and select "Rename" from the context menu.
Change the name to something like "Autorun.inf.hold".
    Close regedit
At this point, I restarted my PC, but I don't know if it is really necessary.
I ran the downloaded driver file.  It extracted, and the Installer started out as it was supposed to.

When it was done, I returned in regedit and renamed "Autorun.inf.hold" to "Autorun.inf".

It is extremely frustrating for me, and (if you need it), I hope that this solution works for you.

Partial success.  Disk Manager (using Vista that I failed to mention in my original post) would allow me to rename a boot volume.  I ended up renaming a C: partition and that seemed to do the trick.  Thanks for the tips.

  • Driver/software of fingerprints

I have a dm4-2165dx laptop, and it has a fingerprint reader built-in. I installed the driver of validity (see: 4.3.205.0) and DigitalPersona. When I try to register a fingerprint, it tells me that it cannot find the fingerprint reader. Windows 7 SP1 x 64 is the operating system. I had to find DigitalPersona elsewhere because he did not appear on the page of the driver of my product. (There is no section software - security ).

You can also try the driver from the support page and the driver of your laptop and the security software 2011 simplepass (which I, your model must use - not the old Digital Persona software).

Driver (I think that you have already installed it).

  • Portege R500: Fingerprint Software and VIsta SP1 problems

I encounter another problem which seems to be related to the fingerprint software. If I install the software, no issue arises. Once I register the fingerprints, the system slows down. Same clang of the other computers in the domain, in that I am, the response slows down gradually and then fails several times, before becoming inaccessible.

Then as Exlopre crashes after a while. If I can stop the command, it hangs at the screen bright blue vista saying "logout". Then, the only way to turn off the computer is by holding down the power button.

I log back in again once, unregister the fingerprint and all works well.
    Any idea? Thank you

P.S. The software and drivers Vista SP1 and Toshiba are fully patched/updated

    Hello

I am interested in your question, you are connected to a domain and use the fingerprint software in the network?

Well, how it works in the Working Group?
Have you noticed the same slowdowns system using laptop computer not connected to the network?

Please check this because I guess that there is local connection between domain parameters (server) and your stored settings on the R500.

Where can I get the drivers?

    Hello:

It looks like all the drivers, specifications and manuals are missing from the pages of support again.

This happened earlier in the week also.

Another Member of the forum has reported the problem to administrators forum, which will be in touch tour HP, but since I am not employed by, nor do I represent HP, I don't know how long it will take to restore the missing data to the support pages.

Whether the weekend will not help much either.

  • X 220 software failure: System update and fingerprints

    Hello

    I have a ThinkPad X 220, Win7 64.

My fingerprint reader works fine in the audit of predesktop, but the last three days, I get an error when it is supposed to connect to Win7. The error indicates 0xe7210005 internal error (rpnp2: No. - svr (00000001provmgrserver)). I have to enter the password to connect. I reinstalled the software of fingerprint - no change. As the predesktop analysis works, I believe that the HW and the database of fingerprints are ok.

While I was handling that I tried to run an update of the system. Here her think Vantage software update system starts and then freezes. I have this with the latest (5.0.3) version that I downloaded as well as with a version 4 supplied with the machine.

Someone has an idea (adjacent to the reinstallation of the operating system)? Thank you very much

    Rolf

Hello. I have been restored to a recovery of the last week point. After that, these two problems have disappeared at the same time. There are some Windows updates between the two and I think that was the problem. Thank you very much for your support. Best regards, Rolf
