  If it s just associated software problem HARD drive recovery will solve your problem, Yes. HARD drive recovery will remove the first partition, so if you have important data on the first partition you must make a backup before you start with the installation of HARD drive recovery.

  Thank you for the update. If you notice anything important missing, as the parameters for an add-on, you can open this prefs.old file in a text editor and probably find it in there. We'll be there if you need help in this sense.

  Try a reboot.

  Make a backup using Time Machine or a cloning program, to ensure that data files can be recovered. Two backups are better than one.

  Please check if this happens in a new profile. If it's good, you can later copy the personal data of the old profile. Firefox stores your personal data and settings to another separate location of the files/folder. A new profile would default Firefox settings (Tools (Alt + T) > Options and topic: config ) and usually also would be vacuum of Extensions and themes (appearance) in Tools > Add-ons) and their parameters.   If your intention in the copy of the turbotac 'software' on a CD so that you can later reuse - forget it.  The software consists of LOTS of files installed in several different folders.  Basically, there is no way you could find all the components, copy them to a CD and then later restore all these elements in the files correct reuse software.

  If you want to reuse, and then keep the original CD it came on or if you downloaded it instead, keep the file, you have downloaded - and then reinstall it.

  If the image on the external screen is seems perfect so I thing t that there could be something wrong with the graphics card.
  It might be something wrong with the screen of the laptop.
  In this case the best way is to contact the service partner allowed in your country because it can do some diagnostic tests.

  But be aware that parts like display or motherboard are the most expensive laptop parts. If you have experienced failure and if it s 100% the wrong display work so I would recommend looking for a second hand laptop with the screen on the right.

  It's probably a coincidence that you coupled to a watch just before it happened. Stripes and color screens normally suggest a hardware problem. Hardware issues will be also solved by a restore. I recommend that you take your phone to a Genius Bar or an Apple authorized service provider. -AJ
