  Well, you could... but maybe the kind of spendy for a PCthat more than 3 years. I think about buying a new and I could remove the drive and see if I could read it as a second drive in the new PC - to try to recover your files out of it.   Have even tried to load drivers generic, just to see if it works, no chance.  I have on other computers with XP Pro on them and they picked it up, drivers loaded and works very well, but Vista is a different game. Tried plugging USB and gives the same error. Add a printer recognizes it, but it does not load the drivers. I can type the IP address of the printer and use a little from there prints 3 pages of a point, two pages are all kinds of different characters, it waste paper.
