software M515 from old m515 to new m515

I have a Palm m515 I bought nearly eight years ago.  It's great.  However, I had a hard time to recharge, so I bought a new m515.  I have the basic software loaded on my Dell Inspiron 600 m with Windows XP on it.  The old software and data is already loaded on my Dell 600 m and I want just to sync my new m515 with old data.  The new m515 came with a CD.  I'm not able to sync the m515 again with the old software m515 on my Dell 600 m.  I don't want to lose the old data or software.  When I put the new Palm m515 on the cradle and press the HotSync button, I get a message on my Dell 600 m asks me to insert the new CD - and when I put the CD in the drive, I get this message: this driver is not digitally signed.  Then when I go to what it means, I get the following message:

CITY designed for Microsoft Windows XP logo

Software for hardware products with the logo designed for Microsoft Windows XP has a digital signature from Microsoft, indicating that the product has been tested for compatibility with Windows and has not been changed since the tests. The latest updates, including security fixes, service packs, new help files, and device drivers, see Windows Update in the help and Support Center.  You can also contact the hardware vendor directly and ask for a device driver that has met the designed for Microsoft Windows XP logo requirements. For more information, visit the Program Microsoft Windows Logo Program (go to http://www.microsoft.com/ and search for "Windows logo program") on the Microsoft Web site.  END OF QUOTE

I would be very happy to just use the Palm and 'old' FranklinCovey Software and not to load the new software (which she doesn't let me do anyway).  If someone has already tried to use a new m515 with the old m515 software, please tell me how to do this.  Thank you.  John

Well, I understand how not to do that - so no need to answer.  The two m515s appear to have identical and data software on them so that they are now completely synchronized.  Please ignore my question.  John

  • transfer from old computer to new software

Three years ago, I bought Adobe Creative Suite 4, design premium student edition. I have a new laptop and I was wondering if there is a way to transfer this old to my new computer software, it must be used on the old computer.

Also, how much money would the upgrade to the latest version of the software (student edition)? Because I can consider this option if the price is not too heavy, or the first option is not possible.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

    Hi the znfjbsol,.

To transfer the software, you just need to install it on the new machine. If you have already installed the software on two machines, then you will need to disable the software on any of the machine before installing it on the 3rd machine. To deactivate, launch the software / go to help and click on disable.

  • How to transfer a playlist from old mac to new mac

I just copied a CD on my old Itunes Mac (because I don't have CD player in the new Macbook air). Then, I created a playlist with the tracks on the CD. Now, how to transfer the new list of reading old mac to new mac?

    Hello rbaenzm,

I understand you want to get music from a CD in your new MacBook Air, but you do not have a CD player.  Since you have already imported your CDs in your old (er) Mac iTunes library, you can use home sharing to share these files with your MacBook Air:

Share your iTunes library on your home network

If you plan to do it often, it may be easier to our SuperDrive Apple USB drive simply attach to your MacBook Air.

Your profile shows that you use OS X Mavericks on your computer.  If you update to OS X El Capitan and subscribe to our new Apple's music service, you can enable iCloud music library to sync your music on all of your devices.  Click on the links below for more information:

Update of OS X El Capitan

Join the Apple music on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac or PC

Music Apple Sync on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and your computer

With Apple's music subscription, you can access your music library on all your devices using the music library to iCloud. When you connect to Apple music on any of your devices, you can see your library in my music.

    Your music library includes:

    • songs, albums, and playlists that you have added in the catalogue of Apple's music;
    • music you bought on iTunes; and
    • music from other sources in iTunes on your Mac or PC, including the CD that you ripped and music that you have created yourself.

    See you soon,.

  • Pavilion Notebook 15-ab243cl: transfer from old computer to new computer programs

We just bought a new HP Pavilion Notebook, with 10 windows, to replace its old HP Pavilion dv4-2153, which has been upgraded to Windows 10.  Now we have a problem - how to move programs and files to the new.

I found two products on the market that claim to be able to do this, but critics of both of them include some less then incounaging stories.  I hope that HP has developed some good software to do this, especially between their own products, or at least can recommend a reliable software.  They must be proud when a customer likes their products well enough to replace genre by genre.

    Any help here?

    Hello;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

I read your message want to migrate applications from one PC to another and wanted to help.

Sorry to disappoint you, but HP doesn't no matter what app migration software (that I know).

However, LapLink does – in its range of PC Mover of products.  The one who moves in the apps is the Pro version.

I know it works because I used it myself.

The new version, Win10, has an additional feature that you can migrate applications from an Image file.

Which means, you can make a backup of the complete picture of your old PC (and to do this, I recommend Macrium Reflect - further) a key USB or external hard drive, which will allow the new PC, install PC Mover there - and restore apps directly from the backup image.

Macrium reflect (MR) provides a FREE version that can be used to image and restore partitions or drives together.

What I recommend is the following:
    (1) download and install Macrium reflect (MR)
    (2) run M. and choose the option: "Create an image of the partition (s) required to backup and restore Windows" to write a full backup to an external drive or USB key

You have NOW a backup of the image of the old PC - and all of the information required by PC Mover to migrate applications to the new PC.

    Good luck

I'm a volunteer and I do not work for, or represent, HP.

  • Issue synchronization from old computer to new

I used FF 27 or 28 and created a synchronisation on that account to all my stuff. But my account is able to log in here: https://account.services.mozilla.com/ how can I pick up all my old favorites and passwords of the sync account? Tyler has posted a link to the instructions of the newSync update. If you can't follow this target due to a re install OS, I don't know how we can help you.

You have all the other machines connected to this sync account?

If this isn't the case, Sync was not intended to be used as a 'cloud' for a single machine. The system and the process of upgrading to the new version of sync is not configured to run as you try to use it.

Try Palemoon browser it is same as Firefox but 64-bit and with search engine Duckandgo. Another difficulty which may require older Firefox is to copy and paste the json from your bookmark backups. Firefox keeps a backup copy of your bookmarks on your PC.
Or you can simply navigate to the json file you need (they are marked with the date of backup) and restore. Here is the link for the instructions to restore. Note: you can use these instructions to migrate your office to Palemoon too.
    https://support.Mozilla.org/en-us/KB/restore-bookmarks-from-backup-or-move-them?ESAB=a & s = Restore + Bookmark + from + Backup & r = 0 & s = ACE #w_restoring-from-backups

Here is the link where the json on Win8.1 files (Win7 and XP is informed in AppData) (Mac is Linux sense in the library)
    C:\Users\'user'\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\5eczdook.default\bookmarkbackups

    Palemoon is the same: C:\Users\'user'\AppData\Roaming\Moonchild Productions\Pale Moon\Profiles\e6rx8hnh.default\bookmarkbackups

Remember that the 'user' is the name that you are connected with.

  • How to transfer all files and programs from old HDD to new HDD?

I would like to change the HARD drive of my laptop to one with more capacity. Is there a way for me to transfer all my current content to the new the old HARD drive without having to re - install all programs / operating system?

Well, the simplest would be a backup image.

    I m using a 3rd party software. It s a Norton Ghost.
This tool allows you to create an image of you HARD drive or simple partitions.
I created an image file and stored on the external HARD drive.

Then, I installed the new OS on the laptop, installed Norton Ghost and used the external HARD disk image file to restore all the files and programs again.

But you don't need t to use the ghost there are many other applications to create an own google simple image

  • How to use the files from old computer to new iTunes

I have been using an external hard drive to store and access my media files to iTunes via iTunes on another computer.   I just got a new computer and want to use this hard drive and files of music via iTunes on it.  What is the best way to do this and what are the steps to begin to play the files from the hard drive on the new iTunes?

I have changed the preferences of the media folder in iTunes without result and sought media when iTunes opens, also without result.   Thank you!!!

Media preferences are not what you think. Change said iTunes simply to memorize new media at this location. This is the file iTunes Library.itl tells iTunes where your media. If you use the same external drive (and these are the two Macs) copy the old iTunes folder form computer to the same location on the new computer and it will start with the old library.

  • transfer from old computer to new computer

After buying a new computer, what would be the things that need to be transferred from my old computer to my new computer?

for example, do my emails that I don't want to delete, should be transferred?  What about icons that are stored on my desk?

    photos should be transferred?

the main issue would be, fault must be transferred and what can I still access my new computer without having to transfer?

All this depends on your specific situation.  For example, I use Outlook.com for my e-mail service.  So if I get a new computer or my current computer falls at the bottom of my truck, I don't have to worry: all my email is online and can be accessed on any new computer as soon as I login.

It is also why I store all my important files on OneDrive.com too.  In this way, that I have never actually transfer anything.

Icons stored on your desktop would probably not be able to be transferred directly, you must reinstall the programs on your new computer.
